I was anxious about surgery, but Ninas kindness really helped me feel calm. Dr. Jamali is friendly, straightforward, and skilled. He extracted all four of my wisdom teeth in under 45 minutes, and I have healed quite quickly, without any complications. Couldnt ask for a more lovely experience.

Ive visited Dr. Jamalis office a few times now for different reasons, and each visit was nothing short of an ideal experience. Nina in the front desk is kind, courteous, and very clearly knows how to create an efficient patient experience. Dr. Jamali is also very kind himself. Not only does he have a ton of experience and knowledge in his field, he was able to relay all of that back to me as a patient in a thorough and reassuring way.I got all 4 wisdom teeth removed in one visit here which made me quite nervous. But the process was so efficient and they made me very comfortable the entire time. They gave detailed after care instructions and I was actually really shocked at how easy the recovery was for me. It was completely painless and I was ready to go back to work shortly after.I can say with 100% certainty that I will be returning to Dr. Jamali and Nina for any of my needs in the future. The amount of consideration they gave for my individual situation and the quality of care that they provide is just unmatched.

I was able to get an appointment 1hr after I called. It felt like a Christmas miracle because I was willing to pull my own tooth out at that point. Nina was very informative on the cost of the procedures as we were paying out of pocket. Once we got there, Pam took excellent care of me. Dr. Jamali was super nice even though I changed my mind about the anaesthesia last minute. I have seen Dr Jamali twice- once 3 weeks ago for an extraction and today for a brief follow-up to check on it. Both times the office was clean and I was the only patient present. Both himself and the individual he works with, were both patient and kind through both visits. From the start of the process of making the appointment and problem solving insurance through the extraction and now follow up, they remained professional and took the time to answer all my questions. When I called with concern regarding how it may be healing, they let me know it sounded like everything was healing fine but still made an appointment for me to follow up in person the next business day. At this second visit they were willing to review with me how the socket will heal over time, confirmed it was healing well, and even pulled up my xrays to help explain why it was extracted in the first place. I did not opt for bone graft at time of extraction and due to cost and I am having second thoughts, and he walked me through all the options I have and the steps and timeline for an implant if I decide to move forward at this stage. I would recommend them for anyone needing an oral surgeon, especially if you are an anxious person like me!

My experience was so smooth and Easy.I got all four wisdom teeth extraction w. General Anesthesia. I was totally nervous it being my first time ever being put under. Dr. Jamali is very sweet and the best; his staff especially Nina so sweet she remembered my name as soon as I walked in and answered all my questions when I called. And the young lady that assisted him during surgery was so nice and got the job done.I have minimal swelling and the pain level is so tolerable , just take meds on time and you’ll be fine. This Dr is exceptional. I was very nervous about putting my son under to have 4 Wisdom teeth extracted. I flew him home from Florida to have the procedure done and Dr. Jamali was recommended. He was extremely attentive and reassuring. The procedure was scheduled quickly and everything was thoroughly explained - follow up medication called in ahead of time. He gave me his cell number in the event anything arose over the weekend. The procedure was quick, as was the recovery, hardly any swelling and the pain meds were only taken the first two days. I’m so relieved we won’t have problems with wisdom teeth down the road. I cannot recommend Dr Jamali enough. His staff is also fantastic. Look no further this is the place to go.

Highly recommend Dr. Jamali for wisdom tooth removal surgery! I had a horizontal impacted wisdom tooth which caused me a lot of trouble and the tooth was not erupted through the gum. I decided to do partial anesthesia and was pretty nervous before the surgery. Dr. Jamali made sure that I am ok and did not feel anything before he started the actual surgery process. I think he did a really good job as I felt no pain during the surgery, though a little bit pain/swelling in first three days, but then everything back to normal after 3 days. Also, I had some concerns the 2nd day after the surgery (it was a Saturday) so I called Dr. Jamali and he responded quickly and solved my concerns. Nina is also quick and efficient in booking my appointments, answering all my questions as well as processing the refund after my insurance sent the claims. Overall I feel that they are very experienced/professional and I am always cared for throughout the process.

I had to get a wisdom tooth extraction & coronectomy done, and was initially unsure of whether a coronectomy was a good idea but Dr. Jamali was extremely confident and experienced, and his post op instruction for care were really comprehensive, ensuring that I healed quickly and without any issues. I’ve had a wisdom tooth extraction before and never received such comprehensive and clear instructions + his office was always very accessible and quick to respond to emails and calls.

Dr. Jamali is fantastic! I came to his practice with an urgent need to get an extraction and implant. After a thorough consult and having collaboratively thought through some options, he was able to expertly finish the surgery on the same day.Post follow-up care was also amazing, with him literally reconstructing a temporary tooth for me during an follow-up visit because the flipper/denture provided by my primary dentist was hurting my implant site. You can count on him to make sure youre comfortable with whats happening, and trust that he has your best interests at heart!A special shout out to the dental assistants and Nina at the front desk for being so thoughtful and patient with all my appointments and follow-ups!

Dr. Jamali is a fantastic oral surgeon. I visited his office to get a double jaw surgery and sliding genioplasty done. This also involved getting orthodontics and getting my wisdom teeth removed. As you can imagine, the whole process took quite some time (first visit in 2015; final visit 9/2020). I cant recommend this office enough. The whole team (Dr. Jamali, Dr. Lin, and Nina) was fantastic. Oral surgery sounds really nerve wracking, but I knew I was in good hands throughout the whole process. After surgery Dr. Jamali even calls you to check on how youre doing. If youre unsure where to go for your surgery, I highly recommend choosing Dr. Jamali.

Dr. Jamali and his team were superb! Went to see him to get my Wisdom Teeth Extracted. My experience has been amazing. Nina was pleasant and always greeted patients as they came in. My recovery after my surgery was great, I was not as swollen as I thought I would be. I definitely recommend him and his team.

The best oral surgeon in the city for sure. I got a bone graft procedure done for preparation of a dental implant and cannot tell you how incredible Dr.Jamalis hands are. Dr.Jamali did an amazing job with my wisdom teeth extractions. I had all 4 removed and all 4 were impacted.Everyone told me it was going to be painful but I was literally fine the same day. Following the surgery there was minimal pain. Some discomfort in my jaw from the surgery but that went away with the first few days. I believe this is because of Dr.Jamali’s magic touch!To boot the staff is amazing. Nina a such a sweet heart. Sweet enough to walk me down after the surgery to where my partner was waiting for me in our car.Can’t say enough great things! 10/10 would recommend!

This was the perfect place to get my wisdom teeth out. Beautiful professional staff, efficient and assuring. I was so nervous for the surgery yet my experience was about as good as it could get. I was up and back in my routine in less than a week; and I didnt even need pain medication. With just ice, amoxicillin and some ibuprofen you could barley tell I had the procedure after 48 hours. I highly recommend the office of Majid Jamali to anyone who needs wisdom tooth removal surgery.

Upon arriving I was greeted by Nina, the wonderful receptionist, who was not only extremely nice but very comforting as I was a bit nervous about what was going to happen.When I finally met Dr. Jamali, not only did he put me at ease about the upcoming procedure, but he also helped me out with the cost for the X-rays that I needed as well as the procedure itself.I also needed to have a few changes due to scheduling and they were very nice and accommodating with helping me find a later date to come in after I arrived and wasnt able to go through with the procedure on that day.I would definitely recommend Dr. Jamali to any of my friends in the future that may need oral surgery.

The first session with Dr. Jamali was a consultation session in which he explained what needs to be done step by step, but still quick. Since I needed surgery to remove wisdom teeth I wanted a doctor who would spend time talking to you and mentioning why surgery is needed and that is exactly what he did.The surgery itself went pretty smooth. I was put to sleep after an hour. Even though he prescribed pain killers for me I honestly did not need to take the pills (I probably took 2-3 pills but the pain was negligible in those cases). I am pretty sure this is the most important factor when it comes to choosing an oral surgeon: minuscule recovery pain. He also managed to call and talk to me after I left a message an hour after the surgery. I am 100 percent satisfied and strongly recommend Dr. Jamali.Staff are pretty nice and helpful. They took time explaining to me all the required steps to work with insurance for submitting claims.

I recently had my wisdom teeth removed by Dr. Jamali. Although this process is never pleasant it was relatively easy and pain free with Dr. Jamali. I was pleased to learn that I could return to work after a short 24-hour recovery period. And his front desk staff are friendly and communicative. Dr. Jamali is an excellent oral surgeon. I visited his office because my wisdom teeth were bothering me. After the initial consultation, he suggested two options for the extraction( Under sedation or local anesthetic). I decided to be under sedation because I couldnt imagine myself being conscious and thinking about my teeth being extracted. I felt extremely nervous and scared on the day of the extraction. Dr. Jamali knew I was nervous so he took time before the extraction to help me feel relax and talk to me a bit. After feeling a little better in terms of being nervous, I was asleep. I was not aware of the entire extraction process and when I woke up, I didnt feel any pain. This was a huge relief to my perspective of getting wisdom teeth extracted. My friends had the extraction from different dentists and they suffered from pain/ swollen face after the extraction. Now its been about a week since I had my wisdom teeth extracted, I havent taken any of the prescribed pain killer nor did I experienced my face being swollen. Even though wisdom teeth extraction is never fun, I had a great experience with Dr.Jamali.

The reason he has such a small waiting period is because little to no one wants to pay $400 for a consultation which people can get for FREE. And if he states its for services and X-Rays, those are covered by your Medical Insurance Provider. What a way to nab you of money...

My review is a couple of years overdue but better late than never. Initially I was referred to Dr. Jamali by my orthodontist for a jaw surgery (orthognathic surgery). At the initial consultation, Dr. Jamali was not very talkative and didnt explain well the details of the surgery. He completely did not explain the possible dangers and outcomes. My insurance company refused to cover an MRI for my TMJ and I had it done in another country I was travelling to. I made sure the quality of the MRI scan was the same as they do in the States. When I came to Dr. Jamali with it, he said that the quality was poor and he referred me to his TMJ specialist who was located far away and did not take any insurance. My husband couldnt take off work to drive me there and the consultation was over $500 so we went to another orthognathic surgeon in the city to get an opinion on MRI readings and also just an overall second opinion. The other surgeon was able to read my MRI without any problem and told me the exact diagnosis. I came back to Dr. Jamali with my husband for additional questions that I had before going into surgery (my surgery date was already scheduled but my questions and concerns were still unanswered). Dr. Jamali was very hostile during the visit. When I asked him a legitimate question he only answered yes/no without any additional information. Initially, at first consultation, when I asked whether I would have scars from the surgery, he said that everything would be done inside the mouth and there would be no scars. At the last consultation, I decided to verify that information once again and he replied that there would be 2 scars on my cheeks but they would be small and over time fade. I asked him why the surgery needed to be done with incisions outside, he replied, Because thats what needs to be done. And that`s all, no other explanations. Imagine if I did not ask and woke up with cuts on my cheeks. I have very pale skin and any redness is prominent. And also information like that shouldnt JUST change. When I told him that I couldnt see the TMJ specialist he recommended and saw another surgeon, Dr. Jamali interrupted my speech with his hand by making a stop sign and said that he didnt want to listen to the rest of it. He wouldnt accept any information from another surgeon. I also learned that the majority of orthognathic surgeons dont do manual drawings of the jaws anymore and use computer programs to see how and where the jaw should be moved and how that would affect the rest of the parts. When I asked Dr. Jamali, he said that he didnt use computer programs, a good surgeon didnt need them. Later on, he sent me an email saying that I should find another surgeon for my operation.I completely agree with another reviewer on Yelp about god-like complex. Dr. Jamali is arrogant and narcissistic. He doesnt explain well the procedures and the outcomes. If you start asking him legitimate questions, he acts like you dont understand anything and should leave it to the professional. The double jaw surgery is very serious, complex and should not be treated lightly. Its the most difficult thing Ive been physically through and Ive been through a lot. And not mentioning the psychological part of it (which could be even harder than the physical aspect). One needs to make sure that the surgeon and the patient are on the same page, the surgeon answers all the questions and makes a patient feels comfortable and at ease. Everybody is different, things do go wrong, the surgeon needs to be compassionate and mature.Im happy I did not go with Dr. Jamali, I felt like if things did not go right, he would just blame me for them and he would still be a god-like surgeon. I also feel that if somebody went with him and had any minor complaints, they would not post them, because you never want to have a bad relationship with a surgeon who performed the surgery if you need to go back to him at any time in your life.For a more detailed review please see yelp and realself dot com due to a limit of characters allowed here.
