The last time I was at Midtown Dental Excellence, they provided me with a life-changing experience. The dentist had been so gentle and understanding throughout my teeth cleaning and really made the process feel like it was for my benefit and not just another routine checkup.I am very grateful for this experience and will be returning as soon as possible! Doctor and his team were amazing! I needed to address a couple of dental issues at one, and it was a bit overwhelming for me. But not for Dr. Roytberg. He listed out all of my issues and made a priority plan to take care of them one by one. The fist procedure went for about 30 minutes. He was very polite and attentive. Suggested i should consider professional cleaning, but wasnt pushy about it at all. Overall im very glad with this experience, i will be back soon!

Midtown are the perfect place to go for your dental needs, including regular check-ups. The hygienists are thorough and the doctor checks in with you before you leave.The entire experience is efficient and friendly. I was recommended to go here, and after reading the reviews i did. I went for the teeth whitening. I was exited about it. I liked that the doctor chose not the brightest color, but the more natural but slightly lighter than my existed, so that everything would look more natural. The dentist made made sure my teeth were okay beforehand. The procedure took less time then i thought and it wasnt painful. Im so happy!

Its been a while since i was here, but i still recall in my memory this wonderful clinic. I went because i could not bare the pain any more and on the recommendation of my sister. Excellent institution! The treatment plan was great and clear, the doctor made sure i understand everything. It was very important to me that the doctor could find approach to me, other then just do the job emotionlessly. I appreciate the polite and attentive attitude.

Being someone with problematic teeth i struggled to find the clinic that suited all my needs, but not anymore. When i first stepped here i was impressed: nice, clean, modern institution. During the consultation i was given clear answers to all i wanted to know. Everything was much better than i could imagine - really professional doctors, friendly staff. Only modern materials.

Midtown Excellence described themselves as being the Chanel bag of dentistry and I was ready, and willing to pay a premium for their servicesflash forward three weeks from my $300 consultation and I keep hearing sorry we havent forgotten about you , still trying to schedule you inIm sorry, the dental assistant I talked to made it seem like they had nothing but openings.dont beg them to let them take a premium.if youre not an established customer they could not care less.if youre a new patient, take your business elsewhere.

Absolutely the worst. The hygienist was extremely incapable and I had difficulty breathing because she was unable to manage the suction tool. I was covered in water. The dentist who came in was clearly only interested in upselling me.

Patients beware!!! Midtown Dental charged me for a fluoride treatment that was $70 without explaining or making clear to me that it would be an out-of-pocket cost. After explaining the situation/my confusion to mgmt they would not waive the charge and now call me a harassing amount of times during work hours and send threatening emails. Also, after only 2 visits here they tried selling me on Invisalign treatment ($5k) and it came across very pushy even though I was hesitant to move forward and told them Id like to think about it. Attempting to leave the sales pitch, I told them I was in a rush to get back but they insisted that I sat through a super quick 5-10 minute initial tooth scan just to see what my treatment plan would look like, which proceeded to take nearly 30 minutes, making me late for my dinner reservation. Its clear to me that $$ is their motive and I dont feel appreciated as a patient. Im switching dentists.

I go for my annual checkup. Just recently I was here. They looked at all my teeth and treated several of them in two stages. Basically, I dont have any major problems or diseases

I absolutely cannot say thank you enough to all the staff here. I ran almost 20 min late to my appointment. If you work in any kind of appointment based business you know this can have a snowball affect. Also its a holiday weekend. Although they wouldve been completely in the right to turn me away, they saw me. The staff is sooooo nice and knowledgeable. The hygienist was amazing as was the dentist. They use state of the art technology and its very obvious they put the safety of the staff and patients first. Very clean! I have a regular dentist in Jesey but now my dentist is Midtown Dental Excellence. I cannot say thank you enough!!

I had not been to the dentist in eight years and was honestly terrified my feelings on that changed cause of the staff!! The staff is so incredibly nice and welcoming and you can tell they really do care. They take many precautions with the pandemic. My cleaning was great, and did not hurt at all. Youre in good hands at this place.

I had been coming to the Dentist that sold this practice for over 20 years and continued when the practice was sold. Needless to say I left my last appointment angry, disappointed and surprised at their unethical behavior.I have two bridge implants and one side keeps popping off, I’ve had it re-cemented twice. At the second visit the Dentist said he didn’t like the style of the implant, which was done at this practice, and would like to change it. I received a phone call from the practice that for $18k they would put new implants on that side - I thought that was outrageous. I was forced to go back a third time because the implant once again popped off, which I was informed by another Dentist I had a “faulty” implant and she was not going to cement it - she was uncomfortable. I was upset with that response since it was done here twice before. She left the room came back minutes later and said she would temporarily cement it if I signed a waiver relieving them of all responsibilities In the event it popped off again and I asphyxiated on it! Obviously I wasn’t signing it and left. I never heard from the practice and it’s been two weeks!They would not accept any responsibility for their work and I’m left with an implant that continuously moves and is hindering my quality of life.

Midtown Dental was absolutely wonderful! I visited during quarantine lockdown and they were simultaneously very careful but also reassuring. They were very comprehensive during the exam but also took the time to explain every aspect of what they were doing. As someone with high anxiety, I felt very calmed when they took the time to answer all of my questions (and of course, there were many) and at the end of the day I felt incredibly welcomed! Midtown Dental is the perfect blend of a welcoming, comforting environment and the picture of professionalism!

I switched my dentistry to Midtown Dental and would advise anybody in a position looking to switch to do the same. I highly recommend seeing Dr. Winters - she makes the dreadful experience of going to the dentist a pleasant one. The receptionists at the office are beyond accommodating - most of my encounters are primarily with Erica and she always does her best to suit my needs financially and schedule wise.

If you do find yourself in my shoes one day I WOULD wish you go to midtown dental. Dr. Edwards and his entire staff are top notch. Never in a million years would I believe that Id actually look forward to going to the dentist! Dr. Edwards cares deeply about his patients and takes the time to thoroughly examine and EXPLAIN each situation and provides you with options that are easy to understand. His team goes out of their way to make you feel welcomed and comfortable. They follow up with you for important reminders in a way that makes you feel like you have your own personal staff. I cant recommend this place enough!

Theyre very kind and accommodating here but, its kind of messed up to tell someone over the phone youll only have to pay $170 then surprise them with a $500 dollar charge afterwards. They also said the total cost of care was $2,000 then suddenly changed the story and said it was $20,000!!! Beware, theyre very predatory here about getting money from you here.

Definite no for me. Insurance milking at its finest. I went in for an invisalign consultation and was provided with EVERYTHING but that. Xrays, photos, cleaning offer, surgery, wisdom tooth extraction- you name it, they offered it. Funny, no other office recommended any of the following. They had a promo for 50% off invisalign and that is bait to get you in. They legit created an absurd treatment plan that made no sense. Even other offices i mentioned it to screamed it was insurance milking. Hygeniest and dentist seem nice but i dont trust whatever money milking practice they have going.

Dr. Haas is amazing! She is so thorough with everything she does! She not only explained everything she was doing but she made me feel at ease through out my procedure, and that says a lot Ive had a dental phobia my whole life! Everyone in this practice is just awesome! I will for sure be coming back for all of my dental needs and I will recommend this office to everyone!!!

They recommend treatment then gave me a hard time about whether they could do the treatment. I was very confused because I have insurance. They didn’t communicate with me after my cleaning. FYI the don’t do silver fillings if that’s what your plan covers. Wouldn’t send records to my new dentist which was troublesome for me.

I’ve been going to Midtown Excellence for almost a decade and they are absolutely the best. The dentists are all fantastic, provide excellent care and advice, and never try to sell you any service that you don’t need, unlike a lot of other dentists out there. No matter what I have gotten done at their office, it was done wonderfully, and I completely trust their opinion.They also have state of the art equipment and their staff go out of their way to help you and make you feel welcome. I’ve tried different dental offices before finding them, and none of them came close.

I found Midtown Dental through Zoc Doc after a filling came loose right before I was leaving on vacation. They were able to fit me in the next day and were extremely kind and efficient! The entire office staff is so friendly and welcoming and the space itself is beautiful (they have TVs in all the rooms to play Netflix or music). As someone who historically has not liked going to the dentist I cannot recommend Midtown Dental more!!

Midtown Dental Excellence provided me with a wonderful experience and excellent service despite a nerve wracking situation for me. I went to this office for wisdom teeth extraction with Dr. Laor, and from the moment I stepped in, I felt very welcomed. The front desk staff was warm and welcoming, the music selection in the office was very calming, and all the staff was ready and willing to address any questions and concerns that I had before and after the procedure. Dr. Laor was skillful and quick with the surgery, and was quick to help me recover from almost fainting (Im no good with procedures), as was her dental assistant. They also followed up with me via text after the procedure to ensure my recovery was doing well. I would highly recommend this practice to anyone looking for dental care, particularly if you get nervous with doctors as I sometimes do. 5/5

TL;DR - stay far away. Recommends unnecessary treatments, high pressure sales tactics.Now that Ive found another dentist that actually gets me, I feel that I should warn anyone else that is thinking about coming here.....I wanted someone that would do IV sedation for procedures (I need a decent amount of work done, and knew that). These guys ticked that box, but thats the only one. These people will rip you off at every opportunity, and they wont give you a treatment plan that you can take elsewhere for another opinion.First strike is to call to schedule an appointment. I ask if they do sedation, and they tell me that they dont! But you should come in and talk to us anyway. Get in the office, they apologize for the misinformation, they actually DO offer sedation as a service. Weird that the entire office wouldnt know what they do and do not do, but whatever. Minor red flag.The doctor at the first cleaning was actually pretty good, she was quite nice. However, the red flags started going up at the end of that visit. They wouldnt give me a treatment plan, and instead required me to take another day off work and talk to the head dentist. Im a quite busy person at my job, clearing my calendar for a day is difficult. Anyhow, I do this. Get there, and Im told that I need $50-60K worth of treatment, including the placement of crowns on every tooth. Then it comes out that this is mostly for aesthetics, and not necessary.The necessary work included 5 root canals (0 are actually necessary) and some fillings (unfortunately since they didnt give me a printed treatment plan, EVEN AFTER TAKING THE DAY OFF, Im not sure off the top of my head how many (however, Im actually getting 3 fillings in my first appointment, and 3 in the second - which can be scheduled whenever - with my new dentist).All of this comes to the low price of around $27K. The whole appointment sounded more like a sales pitch than someone that wanted to help me. They just saw $$$ and ran for it.They attempted to get me to schedule without delay, and to do everything in one appointment (under sedation, obviously). Being under sedation for that long is not in the best interest of the patient, major red flag there.Obviously, I want a second opinion before committing to this sort of money or amount of dental work, regardless of the cost. So I request my x-rays, something that any dental office should be able to provide in about 60 seconds. They tell me that this takes 7-10 days to accomplish, when in reality it takes 7-10 MINUTES, if youre being slow. I raise a bit of a stink in the office, and they tell me that they can have them for me by the time of my second opinion appointment (and they kept this commitment). However, in another review here it says that there are difficulties in the records release process. Makes you wonder why they dont want you to have them, right? A patient has a legal right to have their records and do whatever it is that they want with them.Ill add some icing on this cake from an observation in the waiting room while waiting for the USB stick with the x-rays. A young woman came out of the treatment area, again probably a new patient. She was trying to schedule a tooth extraction or something, and was in considerable pain from the sounds of it. Unfortunately, the first available oral surgeon appointment in the office wasnt for a little while. She explicitly asked if there was anywhere else that she could go, and was effectively told no. If they wont refer out people who are in pain that are asking for that, what kind of practice are they running here? Just in it for the money, and anything that would cause them to lose any is unwelcome.

Ive been a patient of Dr. Simon Roytberg for more then 2 years now and he is the best. He performed an implant surgery and I couldnt wish for a better specialist.I was worried before the surgery ( implant for the front tooth) because it is something you expect to be painful and scary. Surprisingly I didnt feel any pain and Dr. Roytberg was very careful and confident. Its been a long process involving bone grafting and healing and now Im expecting the crown to be placed. Very thankful to dr. Roytberg being very attentive and supportive throughout the whole treatment process.The staff is very nice and friendly and they have the latest achievement in medical equipment. The office also has a breathtaking view, located in a heart of midtown manhattan.
