I would put 10 starts from 5, because simply that this place is so professional, friendly and supportive! The surgeon was super knowledgeable and the most important is honest! I was experiencing the difficulties with finding the right surgeon for removing of my wisdom tooth for over week in NYC (and I had really bad experience with the previous doctors with who I was dealing before) but in this place they understood my problem right away and got it done within less than 10 min! You will never feel that you waste your time in this place and the stuff will take care of you ! This is the only place who I can trust after all!

This man is the most wonderful dentist, oral surgeon in America, period. He is competent, professional and highly skilled. I had a procedure which was supposed to be painful, but it turned out to be only uncomfortable and mildly bothersome for reasons unrelated to Dr. Greenberg. I wish I could see him for every dental concern. I only had a problem with a staff member who was straight up lying to me. I am going to restrain myself and not name her here out of love for only Dr. Greenberg. This woman must have had sudden onset dementia, I am the wrong one. I hope I never have to deal with her again because she really is not nice at her core. I encourage everyone to seek out Dr. Greenberg and his mainly friendly and efficient dental assistants. His receptionist is temperamental, at best. Basic courtesy, thats all I need. I wish Dr. Greenberg could work alone! Lol. Thats me pre-op and then post-op. Minimal pain.

Dr. Greenberg and his staff were able to schedule a last minute wisdom tooth extraction and I’m happy I went through with it. I called the office at 9:45 to see if there were openings and my tooth was extracted by 11:30 the same day. The dental assistants and office staff were professional, organized, and friendly. Dr. Greenberg is an excellent oral surgeon and it was evident that his practice runs like a Swiss clock (extremely efficient)!

Would like to start with being warmly welcomed by the friendly and knowledgeable staff that promptly registered me as a first time visitor. My appointment was originally scheduled for 4pm and was on dental chair at 3:15 ready for surgery. I was seen fast and courteous as Dr Greenberg started to explain that he would be able to save my tooth from extraction. This news was exciting to me as some dentist would just consider to extract. Small dosages if anesthesia was given to me at a timely matter. Procedure was done and I am a happy customer. Highly recommend to all...Staff was awesome!!!

Dr. Greenberg got me in fast during this weird COVID situation and took care of some badly infected molars that needed surgery and bone graph on one and extraction on the other. Every staff member was very accommodating and helpful explaining procedures and payment options. Doctor was totally professional and I am in minimal discomfort with high hopes my problems are solved. The team worked seemlessly together.Fast, gentle, experienced and efficient.Office was very clean with patients timed out so no one else was there. Sanitizer provided.Don’t want to say I look forward to more dental problems but I know where I am going if they occur. Lol Thanks gang

I had an emergency while the office was not open, and Dr. Greenberg prioritized the situation and came in to see me right away. He was extremely patient during my difficulties and worked with me to devise a plan that worked best for the concerns I had, while managing my pain/discomfort. I had to get the infected wisdom tooth out a few days later and Dr. Greenberg was incredibly accommodating with being able to see me during a very busy time. The procedure/experience was smooth and stress-free. Communication was 10/10 on the days between visits and afterwards! Dr. Greenberg went above and beyond and I could not recommend him and his staff more!

Went through an implant procedure to cure a missing tooth in early 2019. Everything went smoothly and I couldnt be happier with my permanent fixture that resulted from the implant. Dr. Greenberg and his staff were very professional and, when needed, accommodating to my schedule.

I had a great experience. Dr. Greenberg was willing to take on a complicated implant procedure that another oral surgeon had dismissed as impossible. In addition to being an excellent doctor who successfully completed the surgery, he took the time to explain the procedure to me and answer my questions. Definitely would recommend.

Dr. Greenberg and his staff was very helpful and attentive. They explained the procedure and made sure I was comfortable every step. I was very nervous going in but after the surgery I felt comfortable with minimal pain even to this day with the stitches I still currently have in. He did an amazing job.

Original appointment was rescheduled a day prior because they had some openings. Arrived 15 mins prior, taken into the office 15 minutes after appointment time. Waited over an hour in the chair and no sign of the doctor so I’d rather go elsewhere Good luck

Dr. Greenberg is a miracle worker. I went to him for a general tooth extraction, which went according to plan. He also did surgery on my jaw bone at Mt. Sinai The surgery could not have gone any better. He is very caring, considerate and lets you know everything that will happen. He even tries his best to get you what you want, for example, my insurance originally declined the surgery, however, Dr. Greenberg was able to fight for me to get the surgery. Overall, a very knowledgable and warm human being. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!Also, his staff/receptionists are very nice and considerate!

Mr Greenberg, In my opinion, youre running an unbelievably unprofessional, unethical, and incompetent dental office. This personal view was formed upon my well documented and unpleasant experience with your dental practice. To whom this may concern,They gave me an in person consult for wisdom teeth removal, and told me theyd contact me when the insurance was approved. Week later, I have multiple confirms from insurance that it was approved. I left 3-4 voicemails over the course of a month and finally when I got someone on the phone they said their not accepting my insurance any longer. But, according to a Liberty Dental member services representative, they did bill them for a consultation... specifically for wisdom teeth extraction... (WHAT?!)If you are going to start the process with a patient, the least you can do is follow up with them and not let them sit in pain for an extended period of time. Any individual with a DR in the front of their name should hold this moral standard, at the very least, in my opinion. Look, Were all in business to make money... but to let patients sit in excruciating pain without the proper guidance is absolutely immoral and unacceptable, in my opinion.Any Dr. that willingly ignores multiple attempts to contact them under the guise that they are your doctor is nothing more than in it for the money... the health of patients comes in at a very distant second, always, in my opinion.Never seek his services, and may god have mercy on your mouth if hes your only option.UPDATE ***6/10/19Greenberg threatened to sue me over this review via my personal email. My lawyer and I had a good chuckle, as, in OUR opinion, only SERIOUSLY struggling businesses waste their time with such nonsense. It is OF THE OPINION of most of the business community, that you will protect your internet reputation best by providing good services, and using Best Practices.Much to the misfortune of unskilled, and disreputable professionals, When you screw people over nowadays, there is accountability. So on top of being a terrible dentist/oral surgeon, hell then THREATEN you when you write a review of his horrible practice. I have documented proof that he threatened to sue me unless I take this down. The man is a total and full fledged clown, in my very humble opinion.

Dr Greenberg was professional and knowledgeable. Mio, who assisted, was professional and compassionate with excellent bedside manner. The only drawback was that I had a nearly 3 hour apointment for one extraction. That said, I’m appreciative to have been seen last minute and they were clearly very busy.

I highly recommend Dr. Greenberg and his staff. I had an accident on a Sunday evening and called him to get an ER recommendation. He said how quickly can you get to Madison and 48th Street I was so surprised, he met me that evening, took Xrays, put braces on my mouth and capped the cracked teeth. If he hadnt done surgery when he did I would have scarred. He really saved me.

A thoughtful and cautious surgeon.I have four impacted wisdom teeth and it has been suggested that one of them come out by my dentist. He referred me to Dr. Greenberg who did a CT scan in the office and decided I dont need the wisdom tooth out. He explained that to remove the wisdom tooth could be tricky because the root of the tooth is sitting on the nerve to side of my face. If he removes it, I could be left numb on that side. He didnt want to take that chance. Furthermore, it turns out, that the pain Ive been having was from the tooth in front of the wisdom tooth. Dr. Greenberg saw the problem on the CT scan he did during his (very complete) examination. He said he saw a shadow around the other tooth, asked a few more questions, and did an ice test to confirm his diagnosis. Then he sent me to a root canal expert for the other tooth.I suspect other doctors would have operated on me first, and then sent me for the root canal - IF they were smart enough to figure out the problem.I would highly recommend Dr. Greenberg to anyone with oral surgery issues. Hes pretty good at his job!

I just had to post a short review to counteract the strongly emotional negative ones I see posted. Im truly sorry for those patients who had a bad experience with their outpatient surgeries. I saw Dr. Alex Greenberg for a biopsy of the inner lip, which is a simpler and faster procedure, but painful and requiring local anesthesia. I found him completely professional and an excellent medical practitioner, immediately knowledgeable about the somewhat rare condition I was being tested for. The procedure was done quickly and healed well with minimal scarring and no infection, which is what you really want from an oral surgeon. I would certainly recommend him for anyone who feels competent to be his or her own medical advocate. Surgeons arent trained to communicate well or provide succor or compassion — thats what the nurses are for. As previous reviewers imply, Dr. Greenberg did not explain to me what he was going to do in detail. This poor communication is also typical of many surgeons. However, when I asked him about pain, he made sure to test the local anesthetic to make sure it was working in the biopsy area. My advice to the office is to improve patient communication before, during and after the procedure, perhaps by employing a nurse practitioner or physicians assistant to sit down with the patient, walk him/her through the procedure, and answer any questions in advance. What seems like a medically simple procedure to the surgeon can be panic-inducing to a patient who is fully awake but doesnt know whats happening and has no pre-arranged way to communicate his or her needs.

While I was very please with Dr Greenbergs knowledge and manner his staff leave a lot to be desired. They could use some customer service training and how to relate to other humans. I was completely turned of by their lackadaisical manner and inability to apologise and take responsibility for their mistakes.

I was referred to Dr. Greenberg by my dentist to remove an impacted wisdom tooth. I have no major complaints and am writing this review 1 day after the extraction and am experiencing minimal pain. I even stopped taking the pain medication prescribed.Im not sure if Dr. Greenberg recently got a whole new staff, but Im so confused as to why people wrote that they were rude, inconsiderate and unprofessional. Everyone was very nice, accommodating and professional. From the receptionist, to the woman in billing, to the dental assistant and Dr. Greenberg. Dr. Greenberg is very skilled, and does not push treatment on you. He recommends what he thinks is best and then has you make your own decision. He did a secondary x ray because the one my dentist provided didnt show enough of my nerves and he wanted to make sure that extracting the tooth would be a danger. I had to wait about 30 mins in the waiting room, and then another 30 in the chair, a nice leather chair, which was a little nerve wracking. But you cant exactly rush dentistry. Especially the removing of teeth. The waiting room did not lead me to believe that the wait was due to overbooking, so just sit tight. When you leave, please confirm that your script was actually called in to the pharmacy so theres no wait.. Pick up some more gauze. I had to wait an hour for mine.but take the pills right away and gargle with salt Water often. I think that my doing that led to a more speedy recovery.I got two teeth extracted and will definitely be back for the other two soon. Thanks Dr. Greenberg!
