When my glasses broke, I contacted Town Optical because I knew they carried that brand and I didnt want new lenses. Sergio, a technician there, researched their stock, helped me learn what model and color I actually needed, advised me to buy online for the best price, and put the lenses in and fitted them to my face. For free. I was so impressed by the service that Im planning to come back next time I need new glasses. They have a huge selection and, obviously, a very friendly staff.

Dr. Shah is fabulous! Very friendly, knowledgeable and easy to get an appointment with. The front desk is also very friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend!

Ive been wearing glasses all my life so naturally Ive been to many optometrists and doctors but my experience has never been quite so good as it is here. Its a 1-stop-shop where I can get my vision checked, find new glasses and they even have vision therapy which helped me immensely by restoring my eye alignment. Cant say that Ive ever had a bad experience here.

The doctor was fine but the staff was very rude, so 3 star on average. The staff was extremely impatient when I select the frame and complained to her co-worker about me. I finally chose to buy from another shop. Advice to the owner: many of us came here only because the shop is closest to the workplace, please train your staff not to take customers for granted, I could simply walk 5 minutes more and find many other choices!

The doctors (Ive seen 2) were very nice, the front desk ladies are also very sweet. I have been forgotten sitting there but they were quite nice and apologetic. Always went the extra mile to be very nice to me. Their prices for glasses are a little higher than avg but they have a very nice selection.

Excellent experience from beginning to end. The receptionist was very kind, understood I wanted to just buy a frame and referred me to Sergio who did an amazing job. He didnt stop until I found the best frame. Ive never been helped by someone with such 5 star quality service. Very reasonable pricing and speedy transaction. The staff here is focused on ensuring you receive the best in service - they also make you feel comfortable and have good humor, a rare find in NYC. Outstanding.

Ive been with Dr. Roy Cohen since I moved to New York City 30 years ago and hes the best! He is THE contact lens specialist and always keeps my vision as his priority. I have a difficult prescription to fit with contacts and now have aging eyes. I always follow Dr. Roys advice, and now have a stylish pair of glasses. His staff, from front desk to optometrists to the diagnostic folks, are top notch.

I had a terrible experience buying contact lenses. They recommended I change my order to buy more lenses on the basis of an $80 rebate from the manufacturer. The saleswoman took out a calculator and showed me how much the lenses would cost after the rebate. So I bought the lenses on this basis. She said If you have any problems claiming your $80, you let me know! Ill put it right for you.Imagine my surprise when the $80 rebate turned out not to exist! I got just $20 back a week later. I brought this to their attention immediately, and they said Sorry, our mistake but declined to put it right for me and give me the $60 their error had cost me. They told me I could return the lenses if I hadnt opened the boxes, but obviously I had opened them since I bought them to use immediately. Buyer beware. The eye doctors here are fine, by the way.

Had an excellent experience with Dr. Chen! I was having trouble with my contacts/eyes and she gave me clear instructions on how to fix it and now they are doing much better - love her. The reception staff was very pleasant when I walked in as well.

Do not come here if you need a prescription for contacts. They literally try to control how many pairs you are trying to buy online in order to force you to come in for exams. Even when there is still a valid prescription.I called Walgreens to ask why my online order was being modified. They said: your doctor said we should not sell you more than x amount of lenses. We have never had a doctor do that before. I found that to be absolutely ridiculous.The doctors are fine, but if you need contacts - stay away

A great location and a courteous and helpful staff. There were six parts to my exam and they were very thorough and efficient. And I love the new pair of glasses and frames- their on-site selection is huge. I felt very well taken care of.

Dr Jessica Tran was amazing. She was so kind and helpful. (Actually this is the reason why I give 3 stars instead of 1). But I can not say the same for the sales people. Double check on what they claim. They offered a rebate coupon for our lenses, and they claimed that we can get 80 $ back, which turn out to be not right. The rebate was only 20$ for the lenses we bought. Also for the sun glasses we wanted to buy, they gave us a quote on a paper but 2 days later when my wife went there and asked for them, they said the quota was not right, we are supposed to pay more than 2 times what they said before. It looks like, either they say whatever it takes to sell you things or the sales people are not well trained and knowledgeable. Pretty frustrating experience.

Your phone hasnt been working at all and your website stresses calling to confirm hours and availability. Can you please get your phones running again?

The staff here is great. They were very busy when I was in the office because they were getting ready to move to their new location but still spent a lot of time going over frames and different options. Dr. Cohen was very helpful in answering my questions and was very nice to talk with. I have referred friends to this office and they have all left very satisfied.

Among all Vsp service places I like here best ! Warm service and clear guidance. Will choose this as my primary.

Although I havent seen the doctor himself, Ive been already turned off from going there. First of all, when no one picks up the phone during working hours, thats ridiculous. Second, after calling multiple times and in finally reaching someone, asking simple question about insurance and Im being put on hold for what seemed forever... Im patient, but not enough to wait half hour for someone to tell me yes or no on my insurance type. So now Im inclined to believe those other 1-star reviews...Lost my business!

I came to Vision clinic with extremely trivial case - Conjunctivitis (Pinkeye).Instead of treat it as a bacterial case using antibiotic drops, doctor gave me prescription for ophthalmic corticosteroid to treat allergy!The drops cost 230$!Of course my copayment was only $25 but anyway it unbelievable!I told the doctor that I dont have any king of allergy and its just a pinkeye, but she didnt listen me.Three days my eyes had became worse and worse until I visited therapist and got antibiotic drops.Do not need to be a doctor to recognize this easy case and assign the right treatment!

This is a cheating suck store. The sale not only was not patient. But she sold a wrong glass to me and charged me other price. And she doesnt want to show the price list to me to let me check the price. I stay there for one hour to figure this out. The person just avoid to talk and turn away form me. Not only that person. I talked with two sales person on that day. They all had very urgent feeling and didnt want to admit their mistake at the first time.

They have limited collection of glasses, but they were very prompt in addressing some issues I had with my glasses even after 6 months of purchase.

Friendly service, have done business so far only by phone.

Yesterday, I saw Dr. Roy for the 1st time. I have seen other optometrists in the past year..and all i can say is I am so glad I found Dr. Roy and his staff..I have been diagnosed with a disease of the cornea, one person tried fitting me with hard lenses which were so uncomfortable, the 2nd person said I needed surgery but would have to pay out of pocket.Saw Dr. Roy, he showed his concern about the situation and proceeded to explain how the problem could be taken care of . .I was fitted with lenses, they were ordered and will arrive sometime by the end of the week. I will be able to see clearly once again..Everyone I came in to contact with was so helpful and informative.I would recommend Town Optical to friends and family..

Visited on September 30th, 2015. Another great appointment with Dr Jessica Tran! She is a skilled, friendly and highly knowledgeable optometrist who efficiently completed my examination and then took the time to give me valuable advice about the possibility of getting laser eye surgery. I really love Town Opticals new office space. Thank you Dr Tran, will be recommending you to my friends.p.s. My only caveat would be that I wish the reception staff would be a little more polite and personable; a friendly smile and/or Hi, how are you? goes a long way! Otherwise, this would have been a 5 star review.Update: Sept 3rd 2017. Ive changed my review to 5 stars as I visited Town Optical a couple of weeks ago and the reception staffs customer service has vastly improved - thank you.

The absolute RUDEST staff i have ever dealt with. Poor customer service, had to call repeatedly to follow up on contact samples, contact orders, etc. Avoid this practice.
