A brain tumor is a terrifying diagnosis!Following a successful surgery by a brilliant surgeon we are referred to Dr.Rajiv Magge, a brilliant experienced neurologist. We are immediately put at ease not only because we are in THE CARE OF the best in the field but Dr. Magge himself cares for us as unique individuals as exhibited by the time taken to explain in terms we could clearly understand how all this came to be. After all we speak of HealthCARE.A bump in the road of recovery occured (during a blizzard) we reached out via telephone and were amazed at the IMMEDIATE response. We believe trust and confidence in ones physician is equal to expertise and competence. Being seen as a whole person: body, mind and spirit (not just a body part) is key to recovery. We are so grateful to Dr. Magge for walking with us on this journey and the good news is Greg in on the golf course.

I have been Dr. Magges patient for the past two years for follow-up visits for a grade 2 meningioma that was successfully removed by the team at Weill Cornell Brain and Spine in 2016. I cannot say enough about the professional, knowledgeable and compassionate treatment I receive from Dr. Magge and his staff.I am a biologist with an obvious strong interest in the science of my situation. I do a lot of research and appreciate Dr. Magges patience and collaboration with me. He is respectful of my science background and welcomes my questions. I have encountered other docs that are put-off by my science knowledge and I have at times been made to feel like Im just annoying them. Not with Dr. Magge. He answers all my questions and allays my fears and concerns. His staff are professional and kind and always make me feel welcome too!Its too bad that the previous reviewer is unhappy, but obviously my experience with Dr. Magge is completely different. I see him every few months and I have never had a bad moment with any part of my visits - including the MRI staff! I have had nothing but a positive experience with this doctor.

My mother was seen by this practice a few months ago, and I have never been to a doctor for myself or a family member that has left me feeling unsure as to the existence of the human factor of medicine. Dr. Magge and his female nurse practitioner ( I do not even recall her name) were cold, condescending and robotic. They both lacked any empathy and did not impart any sense of caring. During the initial consult, we perceived that they were speaking to the tumor in the formalin jar and not a human being who had a really devastating diagnosis. Subsequently, I had to call several times regarding my mothers medication and the office repeatedly passed the buck: call the radiation therapist, call her family doctor, not us, not us, was the constant refrain. The only light in that office is Nicole, the receptionist, who was always pleasant and as helpful as she was allowed to be. I would not refer this office to a disease carrying mosquito.
