Everybody in this office is kind and pleasant. Dr. Moore takes her time, listens and really cares about her patients. Dr. Moore far exceeded my expectations for a competent, intelligent physician to counsel me in a post-disease capacity. She was warm, thorough and communicative. The antithesis of the interpersonal experience I had at Memorial Sloan Kettering where I was operated on more that ten years ago. Renewed contact with MSKCC (on the advice of my radiologist) reinforced their perfunctory approach to disease: if you dont have active cancer, we could care less. When I asked about survivorship counseling they said they couldnt help me.Im hoping this hindsight helps to guide others in a similar predicament. In the choice of a surgical and followup program for breast cancer prioritize expertise AND compassion. Go with whomever Dr. Moore suggests.
