I went to two Doctors before meeting Dr SHAMDI. I was first diagnosed with the an enginal hernia and hydrocele leak which was wrong. I then went for a second opinion. The second Dr said I could live with this problem and I was heart broken for a year. Thank God I decided to see the best. I just had the operation and Im 100× better. never give up! As a child, your dad is always your superhero. My dad has always been my Superman, protecting, strong, and invincible! So, one could only imagine the devastation in learning that he was diagnosed with prostate cancer. I vowed to get him the best care on earth. We weighed his options, ultimately deciding on surgery. Dr. Samadi performed a radical prostatectomy on me and it went perfectly. After consulting with other surgeons, it was an easy decision.I cannot say enough about him, his staff and the staff at St. Francis hospital. From the initial visit, Dr. Samadi took his time and explained everything exactly how he would be performing the procedure in terms that were easy to understand. I came to Dr Samadi after being diagnosed with prostate cancer. My biopsy was on 1/19/2021. I had a video conference with Dr Samadi who reinforced my previous Doctors opinions that I should have my prostate removed. I sought out opinions from a lot of facilities-Mayo, UCLA, NYU, Sloan-Kettering ectFrom the beginning, Dr Samadi was caring about my condition. He assured my that his methodology would help me retain my quality of life. I am 59 years old, so this was a huge factor for me. I definitely want to live, but incontinence would adversely affect my professional life. And ED would of course affect my personal life.As I write this, I am 3 weeks post surgery. I have minimal incontinence, and was very surprised to experience a slight erection this weekend. To sum it up-I feel good.I cannot say enough about Dr Samadis competence. I am writing this testimonial out of respect to those who preceded me in prostate cancer treatment and who unselfishly shared their experiences in dealing with this disease. It was the recommendations contained within these testimonials that led me to an exceptional surgeon, Dr. David Samadi.During an annual physical in 2014, I was informed that I had an elevated PSA level of 3.7 and was referred to Urology for consultation. At 52 years of age, the Urologist was not concerned about the elevated PSA and indicated that we would use the PSA result as a baseline for subsequent comparative analysis. During the next three years, my family physician continued to monitor my PSA level with only a slight increase in the results. At the advise of my daughter, a gifted and experienced physician assistant, I submitted to an advanced 4K blood test profile that reflected an increase in my PSA level to 4.5. Consequently, she insisted that I submit to a prostate biopsy. I immediately contacted my Urologist and scheduled the procedure.During December 2017, I learned that the biopsy pathology report came back positive for prostate cancer and I was given my treatment options. After consulting with my family, I opted to submit to a radical prostatectomy.By the grace of God, and the diligent research done by my wife, we contacted Dr. David Samadi’s office in New York City. His staff was very receptive and extremely helpful. They worked tirelessly to secure the medical documentation and test results needed to schedule a surgical consult. As a result of their coordinated efforts, I received a telephone call from Dr. Samadi himself within 48 hours of contacting his office. Dr. Samadi had already evaluated my case, discussed the procedure in detail and added me to his surgical schedule. After dealing with BPS for 10 years, I am only 56 now, I wanted to find a new DR. I was 43 years old when I was diagnosed with prostate cancer. My primary doctor referred me to a urologist near me. The urologist recommended surgery. In the middle of a pandemic and while cases are increasing in New York, Dr. Samadi and his receptionists are not wearing masks. When asked if they should be wearing masks, they informed me that they are supposed to; however, no masks were put on. I will make this as brief as possible. I was diagnosed with prostate cancer during 8-2016 and my wife and I were in a state of panic not knowing what to do. At that time, my urologist, a very experienced doctor, had recommended surgery to have the prostate removed. After some research, and within one week, we were in Dr. Samadis office. He spoke with us, and after reviewing the biopsy report, Dr. Samadi said I can help, well remove the prostate and the cancer. He was very reassuring and confident which provided the hope we needed. Within one week of our meeting with Dr. Samadi, still during 8-2016, he performed robotic surgery and removed my prostate along with the cancer. He did exactly what he said he would do. To date, 7-2019, my PSA level has been undetectable. If your reading this review, you too must need some help. You have come to the right place. Dr. Samadi is without question, the best of the best.

My experience with Dr. Samadi as well as all his staff has been first class. From our very first meeting, Dr. Samadi was very informative, answering all my questions, and the staff at Lenox Hill Hospital were amazing. I cant say enough good things how fantastic my experience was.I’m 65 years old and was diagnosed with Gleason 7 (3+4) prostate cancer.I had the option of various Radiation treatments or removal of the prostate. After reading about radiation and despite several Doctors recommending it, I decided radiation was not an option for me. Logically radiation did not make any sense, this is my take and you can read all available information on the Web and talk to experts and make your own decision.I was searching for a Surgeon with the best expertise to do the job, in other words a professional in the field with a passionate, caring attitude, and genuine interest in providing care.The key to professionalism in any field is simply a matter of practicing a task many times over, simply put I learned that Dr. Samadi performed over 7000 procedures, at the average rate of minimum 2.5 hours each case, this is a lot of practice. There are not enough stars for Dr Samadi’s review. I am a 43 year old male, and I was diagnosed with prostate cancer in late October. Dr. Samadi came very highly recommended by a colleague. I saw him right after my biopsy diagnosis, and he said we need to act fast. By early December i had the robotic surgery. It could not have gone smoother. Minimal pain, was walking the same day, and most importantly the cancer was gone. After about 8 weeks I was back to working out, running, really no limitations. I would recommend Dr Samadi to anyone dealing with prostate cancer. I cant say THANK YOU enough, or even put into words, how everyone within Dr Samadi’s group, (office staff, nurses, hospital staff, and of course DR Samadi himself) helped me through this. We travelled from Pittsburgh, Pa to New York City for Dr. Samadi and we are so thankful that we did. I had an elevated psa and a biopsy showing 2 out of 12 core samples were cancerous and a Gleason score of 6. I met with 2 surgeons in Pittsburgh, and was told to figure a year of urine incontinence and 18 months of sexual dysfunction after having my prostate removed robotically. And that was nerve sparing surgery. I am 49 years old. I did not want that for the rest of my life We found Dr. Samadi by accident. We called and got a consultation 2 weeks later and after meeting Dr. Samadi in person, we knew that he was the surgeon for me! His reputation is phenomenal! Dr. Samadi removed my prostate on Oct. 8, 2018, and everything has been great! I returned to work, 4 weeks later, I hunted bear at 6 weeks post-op, and had my follow-up bloodwork at 6 weeks and my psa levels were at zero-which is exactly where they want it to be. I have complete control of my urine and do not have any problems with sexual function. The biopsy of my prostate after surgery, did show more cancer. My Gleason score was actually a 7, instead of the 6, that the original biopsy had shown. If you have this problem, DO NOT settle for any other surgeon...drive, fly or crawl to Manhatten and have Dr. Samadi, as your surgeon!! I could not be any happier with the results that I have gotten!

After being diagnosed with Prostate Cancer in May of 2017 I immediately started researching my condition which spanned a six month period. This included improving my comprehensive understanding of the disease, leveraging all available resources to interpret my specific stage of cancer, identifying the pros / cons of all options available and identifying the top specialists in each of the treatments available. Prepared with my questions I met multiple times with leading Prostate Cancer specialists in the New York Metro area. It has taken me a while to write this review because I have tried many times, and have gotten quite emotional while doing so. Nevertheless, I did not want too much time to pass before I share my familys experience with Dr. Samadi and his entire team. My dad was diagnosed with prostate cancer last year, and had his surgery in September. The day Dr. Samadi told us I was extremely distraught, but he placed his hand over mine and said we will beat this. The women in the office hugged me and called my dad regularly to check on him and me. They understood that there is a great deal of emotional work when you are responsible for someones health, and I cannot express how grateful I am for their support. The day of my dads surgery Dr. Samadis entire team spoke to my dad and I. They were professional, but also down to earth, and patient while I asked my questions. Dr. Samadi came to see us before the surgery, and he called me after, and then came to visit me in my dads room after that. It was just a five star experience all the way. Doctors who are skilled and emotionally available are rare. That is the culture Dr. Samadi (and his entire team) have created. My dad is still engaged in follow up care, and every time we visit the office its like visiting family. In fact, that is what they have become. Id tell anybody, Dr. Samadi and his team are the best. Most importantly, my dad is recovering well. In just a few months his progress reflects that of someone who is a year out. Dr. Samadis compassion clearly meets his expertise. R. Samadi is an exceptional physician and surgeon. I am an executive in the health care field and can recognize high competence when I see it. I would highly recommend him to anyone who has any urological issues especially if dealing with prostate cancer and contemplating robotic surgery.He saved my husbands life twice. The first time he performed robotic surgery due to prostate cancer and my husband came out perfect from the surgery. He did not experience urination nor sexual dysfunction issues.My husband has been going for regular check ups ever since. This year my husband skipped a visit which was due in May and received a call to go for a check up. We were due to leave for Europe in a few days and my husband responded that he would go after our return. Dr Samadi insisted that he come for his yearly check up and rearranged his schedule to accommodate him within a few days in spite of his heavy patient load. Upon the visit blood was found in my husbands urine, he had a very large stone that was causing his urine to back-flow into his blood stream. Had we gone on vacation, my husband could have died due to toxicity caused by the back-flow of urine in his blood.To ensure that we would not cancel our vacation, Dr. Samadi gathered a surgical team within 2 days and opened the operating room on a Saturday to accommodate my husband. He told us he had not performed surgery on a Saturday in a very long time. After reading many negative comments I fully disagree with those who state that Dr. Samadi is all about money. I think he makes a good living and does not need to come in on his day off to accommodate a patient whose insurance is of a normal fee. I think he is genuine and truly cares about his patients. He is also a guru and a pioneer on robotic surgery. He is known internationally and has appeared as a physician consultant for Fox news.He has exceptional bedside manners and is an outstanding physician.

The day my father informed us that he is diagnosed with prostate cancer, the whole family felt in shock. He was regularly exercising, eating healthy, and living a happy life. As the oldest daughter, I was supposed to be the calm one, in control, but its all so different when someone so close to you is diagnosed with cancer. But I knew there is no time for sorrow, and started searching for the best physician and treatment.After two weeks of searching and consulting with different physicians, I was totally confused and overloaded with a huge amount of contradictory information. I needed a caring physician to give us full information about prostate-cancer treatment options, walk us through all steps, and inform us about the pre and post treatments.A friend recommended me to contact Dr. David B. Samadi. Looking back, having Dr. Samadi as a surgeon by our side, was the best thing during those dark days. He was honest, sensitive, and knowledgeable. He respectfully listened to all our concerns and spent the time to clearly explain different treatment options, the details of each solution, and how the next one month will be for us.Everyone of his staff treated us kindly as a family. Leaving his office after the first appointment with a peace of mind was a very relieving feeling.The robotic treatment was incredible and regardless of the few downsides it has, in six months my father was pretty much back to normal and cancer-free life. The reality is a man can live without a prostate, so having it removed is the best option, and it doesn’t effect his ‘performance’, which is what most men are probably worried about. I believe having an experienced surgeon who you can trust in his knowledge and surgery skills is the top priority both for the patient and his family. We are forever thankful to Dr. Samadi for all his supports and his surgery skills in treating my father, and curing him.

My cancer is gone, the outcome from the surgery was fantastic and I have not had to use a urinary pad at all; Completely dry from the day the catheter was removed. May you never need to face a horror of nature, when one is diagnosed with cancer its like a death sentence. But at the same time I think God is kind enough to grant us a second chance to life. My dearest uncle that is very very close to my heart got diagnosed with a very aggressive prostate cancer.After a lot of research and studying we chose Dr. David Samadi, and he gave my uncle a second chance of life. Dr. Samadi spent a lot of time explaining the aggressiveness of the nature of the cancer. He also gave us other options, like radiation, and cyber knife, other than surgery. He baby sat my uncle throughout the whole process, like his own family members.Dr. Samadi showed a lot of emotions and compassion, he even gave his own personal cell phone to my aunt, and I remember my aunt calling him many times on his cell phone in the middle of the night. Ive never seen any other doctor whom would give his personal cell phone to a patient.When we went to walk him into the surgery room doctor Samadi showed up with a very calm smile, he held onto my Aunts hand and said, I will bring him back better than how he is going in. It was like a dream, very fast, very emotional, and heart stopping. Although it was a rigorous cancer a year and a half later my uncle is doing fantastic. My uncle stayed at the hospital after the surgery with us for only one night. We were so shocked, we were treated like royalty in a 5 star hotel, they even have their own personal chef. After the surgery Dr. Samadi came to visit us many, many times to see how my uncle was doing. He joked and laughed with us, we couldnt believe a cancer surgeon would have such a great sense of humor. Our experience overall was just fantastic with him, we will always be grateful to Dr. David Samadi.

It is very simple - Dr. Samadi is an expert surgeon with extensive experience for treating even the most complicated cases of prostate cancer. It is very rare to find a doctor of his expertise and caliber who is also so compassionate, so supportive and who gives so much hope to his patients and their families. When you have found the best, you know it. We traveled thousands of miles for Dr. Samadi to treat Gleason 10 (5+5) in 5/2012. Dr. Samadi saved the life of my husband and of our whole family!

I have been a patient of Dr Samadi since 2010. I am now 61 yrs old and enjoying my life to the fullest.I had surgery for benign prostrate enlargement 6 yrs ago. What impressed me the most about his team was their social sensibility that is palpable from the moment you walk into the reception area. It is two years since Dr David Samadi performed my radical prostatectomy. At the time I was stunned at seemingly effortless ease with which the procedure was conducted and the speed of my recovery. I was amazed that such a skilled surgeon was also such a humble compassionate and thoughtful person. I was back at work in two weeks, cycling 50+ miles a day in 3 months. I have been 100% recovered for a long time now and recently had my 2 year check up confirming I was still cancer free.I have since come to realize that such results do not come easily. Dr Samadi is not only a highly skilled surgeon, and without equal in my opinion, but he also has personally demanding standards of perfection which are reflected in the entire patient experience. Luckily I found Dr. Samadi, he and his staff are so friendly, he has done over 6,000 robotic procedures, and yes he is the real deal! Both my wife and I knew right away I would be fortunate to have him and all his experience. I had cancelled the radiologist appointment at the VA as I knew I wanted to get the cancer out and not risk problems down the road. We went to Lennox Hill Hospital April 2014 and everything went just as planned and they even have a special wing for his patients. Wow, I thought I had entered a 5 start hotel. Dr. Samdia has a hand picked staff and everyone treated us like family Just as he said there might be more PC than what the biopsies indicated. Gleason score 7 (now 4+3) 52% of the prostate had cancer T-2, but it was all contained. Its something, star ratings, wow. And yet only five. I am a 46 yr old who had pefect psa 1.9 each physical. I found low t and decided to bring it up to normal. I had robot prostatectomy on 10/15/15 with Dr Samadi. As soon as my catheter was removed I was advised to use pads. I ‘ve used one between the clinic and my hotel in NYC (Im brazilian). Not even one more. Im completely dry. Im 56 and in pretty good shape. My biggest concern before the surgery was about sexual potency outcome. My doctor told me to start taking cialis 48h after catheter removal.Well, 24 hours before that I was playing around and having sex with my wife ( I was oriented not to do so...). Of course it wasn’t a 100% erection. I would say it was like 75%. Now, one week latter, Im having 90/100% erections without taking any cialis - as I never use to do before the procedure. I feel very very happy. And Im taking the time to write this down only to share with all man searching for information that incontinency and impotency is not necessarily an outcome of RP. I recently saw Dr. Samadi for acute urinary retention due to BPH and a very enlarge prostate. I had seen two other urologists who had suggested either robotic surgery or a more invasive open surgical prostatectomy. Unfortunately, I had a Foley catheter in for several weeks while seeking a proper direction of care. Since my prostate was very enlarged, over 162 gr., neither felt comfortable with a less invasive laser Button TURP procedure. Consulting Dr. Samadi was a worthwhile decision as he assured me he could handle such a large prostate and remove as much as possible during the procedure under general anesthesia. I was admitted to Lenox Hill and all went very well and according to his plan. He was spot on in explaining the procedure, post op care and what to expect. His wing at LH provides the best possible hospital experience, and the nursing care is superb. I am thankful that all was benign and everything has turned out so well. Would have given him 10 stars if that was possible. From beginning to end, Dr. Samadi and team were compassionate, caring and focused on achieving the best outcome possible. I came in from out of the area and Dr. Samadi even did a weekend consultation with me over the phone (and he had offered to Skype).It is now 10 weeks since my surgery and I am fully recovered with undetectable PSA. My cancer was near the nerves but Dr. Samadi through his SMART technique managed to somehow remove the cancer without causing any of the side effects which are associated with nerve damage.We did significant research before selecting Dr. Samadi and at the end selected him because other prostate cancer surgeons recommended him the most and because he does the entire procedure from end to end. On 01/14/13, Dr. Samadi removed my prostate with a Gleason score of 7 (4+3) stage pT3aNOMx. Focus suspicious for lymphatic infiltration of tumor.The tumor focally also extended beyond the prostatic pseudo capsule.Thank god I came to this GREAT doctor.After fist interview i had with him and his staff, I knew I had come to the best Doctor i could find in New York. Samadi poses as an expert for any newpaper that will pay him to give the answer they want whether it is his field of expertise or not. His ethics are questionable.
