If I could give Dr. Lam, his staff, and office 0 starts I would. My husband and I went in for a Physical and we had to wait for 3 hours. You would think it would be worth the wait but believe me it is not. The doctor had no bedside manners and to make matters worse their system is down so you cant view your lab results you have to sign up for an account through quest diagnostic. No one even calls you to talk to you about your results! Oh thank you I came in for nothing. On top of this, they called in my prescriptions incorrectly to the pharmacy!! A medication I have been taking since 2009. I called to have it corrected and they told me Doctor is not here. Oh so no one covers for the doctor while he is away? No one even bothered calling me back. I called again, and they said oh doctor is busy. Didnt even ask me which doctor I was called to speak to and who I was. Dont ever go to this doctor. You will wait forever, get the wrong medication, and will never find out were your lab results ok? Also, they try to have you all these additional labs which are not even needed it is the strangest thing. H. Pylori exam when I didnt even tell you I had any acid reflux or digestion issues?! Never heard of that for a normal physical before. I dont know what is more important eating after 3 hours or having me go to another floor and do 38383 more exams. I am beyond frustrated with this Doctor, staff, and the unbelievably crowded office.

Dr Lam is my physician for seven years. He is an excellent physician with very broad knowledge. He is sincere and caring. I find comfort and feel reassured by his friendly and kind persona. He is always professional and very often go the extra mile.I feel lucky having him as my doctor.

I kept asking why me, why I got sick?! After meeting with Dr Kin Y Lam, I know the reason! I got sick so I can be treated and cured by a God sent doctor, a walking angel, an extremely knowledgeable, caring, professional, kind, friendly and warm-hearted doctor. His front desk staff is always helpful and patience, his nurses are incredibly professional, just to name a few, nurse Ho and nurse Lau are beyond efficient. I wish everyone good health and well, but if you need Dr Lams help, you dont have to think twice, I highly recommend this God sent doctor and his team!

Dr. Lam is very knowledgeable and caring. My whole family including extended family are under his care for years. We cannot thank enough for his accurate diagnosis and have saved our lives

1) Seriously doubting the professionalism of the office in Hematology (have no knowledge on Oncology professionalism). Majority of my questions were left unanswered and nobody was eager to look deeper in my problem besides the textbook knowledge. Responses to some of the question were straight up - I dont know.2) Long waiting times: an hour + , even if you have an appointment scheduled.

Dr. Kin Y. Lam has been my primary care physician for more than 15 years now. Dr. Lam and his associates have always provided the care, the treatment that I and my family could have hoped for in a medical professional team.With more than 20 years of medical experience in the Chinatown marketplace, Dr. Kin Y. Lam and his medical office have a base of Very Loyal, senior citizens and immigrants, of patients. Many of these patients have very limited knowledge of English/ language skills. This language barrier has led to a very high volume of patient services that needs to be provided by his office and the medical staff.Dr. Kin Y. Lam is leading a team that is treating patients as the whole person. They take the time to care while maintaining a very efficient office in a very demanding environment / marketplace. The front desk staff speak multiple languages and have to be incredibly patience, especially to the aging, senior population of patients.All these add up to a doctors office and team that you rarely can find these days: Advanced Oncology, led by Dr. Kin Y. Lam, who is warm and friendly, while being efficient and professional.

UPDATE: Dr. Lam addressed the issues (stated below, the previous review 1 star rating) and concerns in a rapid manner, which I truly appreciate it. All matters have been concluded and i am happy with the results.LILLY HAS IS THE WORST!!! I definitely want to make you aware of her lack of customer service skills. She was very rude, disrespectful and completely lacks customer service skills. Lilly screamed at me and hung up on me. I called back and asked for a manager, she stated she did not know the name of the manager, yet she stated she has been working there for 10 years (WOW...SMH). I again asked who the manager was and she stated she didnt know and no one in the office knew who the manager was at this location (Center Street NY, NY). When clients call or come in to their doctors office, they come with a problem or medical issue; not to be disrespected, abused by anyone in the office (the rest of yor staff has been GREAT!), specifically Lily. Rudeness is not a cultural thing, its a called having BAD MANNERS and LACKING GOOD WORK ETHICS!!! Lilly would be better off in a closed room with no interaction with clients in any capacity (unless Dr. Lam is okay with having bad service presented at his establishment...I do not hhink so). She is terrible and no one should be subjected to such a negative entity.

Ive been helping my grandparents to go to Advanced Oncology clinic for the past 8 years, and I couldnt recommend this practice enough. We first came to Advanced Oncology seeking help for my grandma who was facing sleep insomnia. Originally we had went to a hospital where a doctor recommended to us sleep insomnia pills. After several weeks, her condition did not improve. We saw her become increasingly agitated, so we sought a second opinion at Advanced Oncology. Thankfully, when we came here, Dr. Lam recommended a different pill and routine and helped to explain that the drug and dosage prescribed by the hospital was not completely necessary and may not be more effective, at least for a first attempt.After a month on new medication my grandma has since made noticeable improvement and she is sleeping much more soundly at night. Over the years weve been coming back for medical advice and treatment (this clinic is also specializes in oncology), and Advanced Oncology is our go to clinic for primary care and cancer prevention.The office staff here is friendly and warm and the doctors here are top notch and very professional. I would recommend to schedule an appointment over the phone and try to pick a time later in the day as the office tends to be very busy in the morning.

Ive had the pleasure to retain Dr. Lam as my primary physician through a referral. Given my past experience with physicians whose practice resembles more of an assembly line than an actual clinic, I was skeptical at first. This skepticism was relieved upon my first visit. Dr. Lam was extremely personable and his curiosity into my health through inquiries demonstrated to me his genuine interest in his patients. His forward-thinking suggestions has made me re-evaluate my lifestyle and habits.

One of the biggest challenges when it comes to searching for a doctor, especially an area that requires specialization, is determining whether or not they’re knowledgeable and if they’ve had the experience to accompany that knowledge. While it is logical to think that the two are linked, I’ve dealt with medical personnel that has had the academic prerequisite but lacked the experience from my personal ordeals. When I first consulted Dr. Lam, he addressed all my concerning issues as well as came up with realistic goals that were attainable given his past experience with my specific condition. Another note to be pointed out is that while his clinic may seem populated upon the initial visit, his staff of nurses and assistants were professional and punctual in getting you situated so that you may focus on your consultation and as you will experience, the eventual transition of your primary care doctor.

Wonderful doctor that is willing to go above and beyond for his patient. His staff were professional and pleasant to work with. This is my first time to Dr Lams office and he has been patient, helpful and thorough in his explanation. When I forgot to look up my pharmacy before coming into the office (when I should’ve), he was looking up and figuring out my pharmacy together with me. He was also willing to stay on the phone with me to ensure I receive my medication while the pharmacy is trying to figure out if they received my prescription as there were some hiccups earlier (but resolved ultimately).If you are looking for a doctor who really cares for his patient, look no further. Dr. Lam is a great human being, but the operation of this medical office is antiquated trash.I called to find out whats with the invoice they sent me. Some zombie girl picked up and says, Were closed alreeaddyyyy..... Im like, OK? What are your hours? Call back after niiiinneeee........ Are you worked to death or what??I got a notice regarding outstanding payments 2 months after my visit. I called to tell them I paid through my insurance. They said I need to send them proof. Sure, I can send them an email. They said they dont use email. First of all, Ive sent them emails before, so thats a bunch of bull. Second, its 2018. Why are they trying not to use email?For the latest notice, I called my insurance and I was told this office received the payment via direct deposit MONTHS AGO. So hey, billing department, my payment isnt late. Youre just not doing your job. Check your bank.If you live by technology, save yourself the frustration and dont come here. The way they operate stinks. Apart from that, Dr. Lam and the nurses are pleasant.

All doctors and nurses in the clinic are so kind, helpful and patient.

DR Lam is an awesome physician. He cured my mom blood cancer and now he is our familys primary doctor. New office in sunset also, excellent, nice and clean !

Not sure how the doc is. But my appt is at 10:20 now it’s 12:40 I’m still waiting
