Its a tui na massage. Its firm and deep tissue. They will work on knots vigorously. Its not the kind of massage where they are going to just rub lotion on your skin lightly up and down. This massage is work. The masseuses work hard to identify trigger points and aggressively work to relieve them.Ive gone here off and on for the past 8 years or so and the massage they give here is how I judge all other massage places. Im typically sore after I get a massage here for a day and then everything loosens up.

Came here for a couples massage with my wife. Great price, decent decor, good masseuse skills but with rushed, interrupted, and rude service. Would have loved to give a higher rating, but unfortunately can’t given the rushed and rude treatment by the staff here beginning with when we booked the service on the phone all the way through when we paid for the service at the end.Masseuse walked away several times from the massage to answer the door, answer phones, or to chat with other staff. Service felt rushed. Receptionist and masseuse were short, rude, and seemed like they were miserable and ungrateful.Maybe it was on off day.

It’s hard not to roll my eyes at the reviewers complaining about this place. It’s $50 for a 75 minute massage. Don’t go here with expectations of a spa experience or demanding top notch service. You get in. You get an amazing massage. You get out. That’s what I love about this place. It’s 0% about the ambiance or the full experience, and 100% about the actual work done on your body. I come here to get my trigger points worked on, and they do not disappoint. I arrive in pain with tight muscles and leave feeling so light and tension-free. I love it and would recommend to anyone who’s looking for a true no-frills place. When I want an actual relaxing spa experience - guess what - I go to an actual spa.

I have been coming here for about 5 years and it is good. my first massage I thought it was painful but when it was over I had a great relaxed feeling and my body was feeling great. Now every time I come I request hard lol The price is very affordable and 75 mimutes is the one I like the most, it covers back,legs, arms and even face and skull. The place is quite, relaxed and simple. Nothing pretentious. I think most masseurs are Chinese, with very strong hands. They have the rails on the ceiling so some ladies sometimes walk on your back.

I got a 75 minutes massage from Lucy. She walked on my back and she massaged me and she put hot stones on me at the end. The whole process was relaxing and healing. I loved it. It is not that noisy as other review stated here. These people work for tips! They are cheap for a reason. So don’t cheap on tips!The front desk could be a bit rude and unfriendly for sure. But I didn’t go there for the front desk. I got a great massage and that’s what counts!

THE WORST!! THE ABSOLUTELY WORST IN 40 YEARS OF GETTING MASSAGES! I didnt believe the bad review from 3 weeks ago but I should have. For their prices, the massage is VERY WORTH IT. This most recent visit I had Coco and she was very strong and did an excellent deep tissue massage. They do couples massages and singles. If youre highly aware of your surroundings you will hear other peoples grunts/slapping sounds/footsteps because the walls dont go all the way to the ceiling. BUT, if your massage is great, you probably wont notice anything else except those wondrous hands working the knots out of your body. One quirky issue though: We gave a 15% gratuity which seemed like a reasonable expectation but then as we were walking out, we got called back and was told there is a minimum 20% gratuity! I think they should probably post that somewhere so they dont have run-ins like this.

Taiji is probably the best hour-long body massage place that doesnt creep you out when you walk in. The interior is clean and professional looking and they almost always have availability. Be sure to check their website for monthly specials they have to get the lowest price. The massages include foot massages and hot stones too. My only complaint is their mandatory 20% gratuity.

No frills spot for a quick 30min massage, for those days when you REALLY need it. The staff is nice and accomodating if you come without an appointment. Their prices are pretty good for the area. Its a relief to have them nearby my office for back pain emergencies!

This was the first time I had hot stones and my back walked on. The massage was great! I was able to walk in and was taken care of right away! Every spot of tension I had was released. I felt sore but really good the next day! Drink lots of water after!

I got there at 3:05 I left at 3:25 I asked for a 30 min massage and they gave me barely 20 min but still charged me for a full 30. As a massage therapist myself working in a retail shop I have a set lunch break and to be told the time I got there was the time before I punched out is crazy to me also the quality of touch isnt there big rip off take ur money else where.

This place is so awful! When I specifically asked for a women, they gave me a man. Nothing felt enjoyable during my hour full body massage all he did was hurt me and pushed down so hard that it was pushing into my stomach - on top of that the bed was extremely uncomfortable. They performed the massage with a used dirty towel over my entire body barely touching the skin. I came out of there so upset and my body felt even worse and hurt more then it did coming in. The hand motions that were made were terrible and felt so rough and fast not slow and relaxing. They raised the price from what it originally said on their website and they told me how much I should tip after receiving my change.

Staff was yelling at each other when I walked in and I could still here them chatting throughout my massage. Wasnt asked where I felt tight or sore. My masseuse got mad at me when she told me to relax and since my muscles were super tight(hence the reason I went to get a massage) it was hard for me. She would chat to the masseuse next door in Chinese after this happened a few times in which case Id tense up more because I got upset. Super rude, walked out feeling tenser than when I walked in.

You get what you pay for! For one its creepy, secondly the guy is so rude when its time to pay. He spoke 0 english so it was a little confusion over the tip. He thought I said no tip when i said cash tip, once he thought I wouldnt tip he threw my card at me! Now thats how you dont get a tip.

Terrible massage. It is very noisy and difficult to relax. Some other therapists were laughing nearby. Poor English. I asked for a moderate massage and it may have been the most painful Ive had. Then, they had the nerve to say a 20% tip was mandatory. Go somewhere else.

AWFUL experience: 1) inauthentic - the masseurs displayed a blatant lack of knowledge about reflexology; 2) extremely rude service - my masseur went missing twice during the massage and just kept me waiting without any explanation or apology. When I raised this issue, rather than an apology i got raised tempers and insults hurled at me (I happen to understand Chinese). And after being insulted I was pressed for a tip! I would never set my foot in this massage place again, and would not recommend this even anyone (I mean that).

All I can say is wow.I took my friend and her sister here for her birthday, hoping the reviews were true and that it would be good. I am not from the area, so it was a crap shoot for me.They were flexible on the time, and my friend and I got to be in the same room which was kind of neat (there are many paired rooms and individual rooms, and the paired rooms can offer more privacy with a curtain).We bought the special that was $53 (cash; higher for CC) for an hour and 15 min. They started a little late, so they ended up doing almost 90 min. I felt SO. GOOD.Even my friend, who has been to the top spas in Manhattan said that was the best massage she had ever had, that they hit literally every pressure point (even ones in our scalp). I felt flat out woozy for an hour because my body was so relaxed. Every person I saw leaving the place looked the same way lol.As I was walking, all of a sudden I realized that my chronic arm pain (since Aug 2012 injury) was relieved. Still greatly mitigated today, two days later.There was this one thing she did that I can only discribe as a pleasant vulcan death grip! It was on my neck, and the moment she did it, it was like every point of tension in my body simultaneously floated up and out. I just kind of melted.Its cool because they balance so many different kinds of massage into one session: foot, cranial, hot stone, deep pressure, asian (bars in ceiling).It was so good. Highly recommend it.
