I went in for major spinal surgery. The nurses are the true healers. They were sweet, attentive, friendly wonderful. The ordilys were also incredibly helpful and would pop in for a friendly visit from time to time. Even the young woman who weeled me to my car was a joy to be around. 10/10

Lenox Hill is a great hospital; in his frequent stays, my brother has met with almost universal kindness, expertise and care from everyone with whom hes interacted. I personally cannot say enough great things about his social worker, Morgan, who was cheerful, informative, compassionate and very, very good at her job. Shes the model of what a social worker should be. Thank you, Morgan, and thanks to Lenox Hill.

From security staff to custodial to nurses and doctors everyone at LH was amazing. Caring , friendly , courteous and helpful. Our 15 year old had 2 pretty big operations and we could not have asked for better care for her and warmth extended to us. . Hopefully you never need a hospital but if you do - rest easy that LH will take great care of everyone

What a great place . Anything you want they are always there to help you. Operation was perfect had left knee replacement. Highly recommended

They pretend they care about you and your loved one but they have no compassion or sympathy whatsoever . ( Gina Garvin and other staff on 7 th floor pretend to offer you support and comfort but at the end of the day they really don’t care it’s just a job for them however they’re great actors ) . Not one phone call to offer condolences after my Mom passed , also they all seemed to be in a extreme rush and upset when you don’t follow there so called advice .

Radiology bathrooms are absolutely filthy, out of toilet paper, and the alternative bathroom was flooded. This is completely unacceptable at such a ‘prestigious’ facility. The lockers in the Women’s Lounge do not lock; I’m currently sitting in the Lounge awaiting my appointment with all my belongings with me.My spouse had surgery here many years ago. At that time, this was the go-to boutique hospital because they were pristine with all details and everyone felt safe. This is outrageous.

Pretty disastrous experience, unfortunately - during four visits both the ER and the actual orthopedics doctor managed to miss an internal hematoma which burst open one month later on a flight. Aside from this, everything went nice and smooth (than again, I’m generally visiting hospitals not for how comfortable the waiting room is)

I think it is the best professionals here. Nice, good. I went in pain and dog, they made more than I expected.I’m sorry but I need to say about bad things…I waited in emergency room for 14 hours… guys didn’t tell me that my situation is serious and I went to emergency hungry, in shorts and t-shirt… I really didn’t eat 24 hours without medical reasons. Fastest and most stress-free emergency room experience Ive ever had. All nurses and the Dr. assigned to me were warm and extremely professional. Dr. genuinely cared about my treatment.

Went there at 10:40pm for cat bite wound and associated systemic symptoms. After checking in with triage, given details of the incidence and onset of symptoms ie fever, rashes, chills. Wait 30 mins nurse named Olga came and asked let me see the DOG bite and left as if it is nothing. They tried to get insurance info before the doctor sees me. A woman came at the same time with me was seen, they made me wait for 1 hr and still was not able to see any doctor. Nothing much has improved since 10 years ago. Will never go there again.

I came here expecting a good experience being able to see my direct family member that just came out of surgery, but had to deal with these rude and unprofessional security guards. 3 of them were super rude to not only me but everyone else. They gave me a lot of attitude and didn’t even seem to listen to me. The ONLY nice bodyguard I encountered was Jose, he was very understanding and tried to me. Fix your staff I’m very disappointed in how they treated me. THEY WASTED MY TIME.

I was admitted to the ER last Wednesday with severe abdominal pains. A CT scan indicated I had a trapped small intestine and by 4pm the same day I was in the operating room being attended to by Dr. Robert Andrews and his team who removed by expert laparoscopic surgery some internal scar tissue and freed the intestine before necrosis, sepsis and possibly death could occur. I have made a full recovery from what was life-saving, emergency surgery and I possibly owe my life to Lenox Hill Hospital and their teams immediate attention. While recovering over several days the nursing care I received was excellent, all the nurses were wonderful and Brendan was especially caring, patient and attentive. I cannot praise Lenox Hill and the staff more highly and consider myself very fortunate that we have one of the worlds finest hospitals in our neighborhood.

I was on the post surgical floor 9 Uris after surgery last Friday. I have been very impressed by the staff here. First it was Nurse Edmund Tam in the post-op Recovery Floor who was meticulous and attentive to my needs while I was feeling awful with nausea and pain which helped make the situation as bearable as possible. Then transferred on to 9 Uris I had the good fortune to get Tahisa Mejia as my nurse who is a natural born star at nursing. She has the patience and kindness of a saint and so cheerful through it all. This helped tremendously during my stay here. Nursing Asst Sangbe (did not get this gentleman’s last name) was another exceptional staff member, who was willing at every turn to help. I used to work at this hospital years ago but had never been a patient until now. It made me feel so proud of Lenox. Thank you for a good experience.

We come from a small town in Virgina and the staff here was amazing doctors are such good listeners, humble and compassionate. Not like our small town hospital. They saved my wife’s life!!!!

This place is good but some staff act like theyre better than the patients when it comes to the ER in the South in the evening time. They need to have better people skills. There was only one nice nurse and I appreciate her.

They were very unprofessional and rushed me. I gave them a urine sample to see if I had a UTI. Upon leaving I asked the doctor if I had a UTI her response was I never ordered a urine sample. They wrote the wrong prescription and now I am wondering if I should report this!

My experience last year while having Covid was hit or miss. I know it was new and doctors and nurses were doing their best and learning as they go. Everyone was overworked, overwhelmed and in fear. I had some horrific experiences with some doctors that actually made me question ever returning. On the flip side, I had a reaction to some meds in January and had to spend the night. The entire staff was amazing. I was so happy to have chosen to go there despite my apprehensions. It was an extremely scary experience that the staff made better. Last week I was back again for some issues. Dr kesten was wonderful. She was very helpful, she listened, she tried to give me solutions. The nurses were awesome. Happy to see that the experiences get better each time. Hopefully I won’t be back anytime soon.

In the ER with a family member recently and let me tell you, the staff at this hospital are amazing! Sensitive, gentle, compassionate and capable, I had the impression again and again that the caretakers realized that they were working with individuals who were suffering on a variety of levels and they seemed to CARE - a quality that I see less and less of these days in this field. NOT related to Covid, I had been observing this trend since long before the outbreak...The folks at Lenox Hill are exemplary and others would do well to emulate their model of patient care!

I gave birth a few weeks ago at Lenox Hill. Labor and Delivery was excellent. Theres a sweet nurse by the name of Delfina. She stayed with me during pre-op and even during surgery. She was so nice to me and my support person. She really made me feel comfortable. To the surgical team: Dr. Wu, Dr. Drexla, Femi, Jennifer, and others thank you for delivering my baby. Dr. Hardley and Dr. Thiel came to check/visit me with the most incredible bedside manner. To the nurses Irena (morning shift) and Gail Smith (evening shift) who were constantly on top of me taking medication and checking/aiding with the baby, providing me with whatever I needed, THANK YOU.

They really show a true concern about panients and theyll do everything in their power to help you get your answers. It is a good and immaculately clean hospital if you can afford it. Generally good doctors. However, no one practice Functional Medicine.

No one ever WANTS to go to the hospital but if youve got to go...Lenox Hill is where youd want to be. From registration for surgery to care of the culinary staff I genuinely felt the care. The pivotal moment for me was just before surgery and my OR Nurse was giving me a shot, my anesthesiologist Dr. Roger Llamande reached out and grabbed my hand. Such a small gesture meant absolutely everything, especially with the absence of family due to covid restrictions. I continued to feel this intionality in the OR room and with the wonderful Doctor, Nurses and Nurse Assistants on the 9th floor (Thaisa, Lucy, Marie, Giselle, Fiona, Cathy Dr. Ben-El, and I failed to get one name of the nurses aid who was so kind upon my check out).Thank you all for being there at such a pivotal time for me. These are truly dedicated medical professionals and it is so abundantly clear in everything they do. I had great faith in my Doctors (Seckin and Goldstein) but to be met with such all around support and care was phenomenal. From the bottom of my heart, thank each and every one of you.

I have delivered twice at Lenox Hill and both times I had an amazing experience! They have the best Labor and delivery team(thank you Bethany and Danielle for being so amazing) the PCAs and RNs are the absolute best! You can tell they enjoy what they do, and if they don’t then at least they act like it. 5 stars is an understatement....these people are heaven Sent!!!!

I had the best experience giving birth at Lenox Hill.

The doctors are really great. My son was in ICU on 7th floor. Some of those nurses do not care. They think because u r dying or in coma or are tubed u cannot feel. The doctors are fantastic. But the night staff is horrible and the day staff only some of them have compassion. Every day he complained about their treatment and I witnessed for.myself these nurses and aides do need to be trained and there needs to be cameras in the rooms .

On September 2 I received the most amazing experience at Lenox Hill Hospital on the 10 floor100 E 77 Street . My Surgeon Dr. Maiquel Carrasco operated on me . I was scared being my first experience at Lenox Hill . He reassure me confort me his compassion towards me made me so reassured his amazing personality not only relax me , but because of him I will recommend my family and friends to have him as their Surgeon . Dr Brandon was the best friendly and caring for the patients

LH used to be a good hospital, NOT anymore! Do not go to their ER, they are not thorough with your care despite having complaints of chest pain and a numb right arm and other health concerns. One D.O named Lauren Sokolik, she blatantly lied about ER blood tests only saying they do basic blood work and no X-ray offered on pain in right arm! I was also denied a proper letter for return to work, she said I can return to work the same day! Who goes to work with joint pains and an infection? Clearly very cold and callous and she should not be working with the public! Save yourself the time and go to an Urgent Care center, at least they can do thorough blood work!

They are neglectful and didn’t take care of me when I gave birth. I had to call them over and over again bc they forgot to bring me food, but didn’t forget to give it to my roomate. Then when I told them I was feeling sick, everybody ignored me. I had a fever for 3 days over there and it was not acknowledged.

I was extremely happy with the care in the emergency room and the ICU. The staff was very nice and helpful to all my needs

This a good clean hospital with excellent staff and logistic support. Staff are friendly and helpful. Public communication is reliable, 6 train inform of the door. Doctors are not very experienced but very cordial. Good waiting area for the guests, guests are allowed almost all the time. Sometime its very hard to find parking near the hospital.

I have never encountered such rude and unkind people in my 14 years as an ER provider. Your security staff is appealing at how they treat people walking in. LHH has had three dates online to sign up for the Covid Vaccine that never had any slots available. I an very disappointed as all my doctors are in the network and I worked over 30 years at the hospital. Shame on Michael Dowling.

Charged me over $600 for a literally 15 second visit, took them (Northwell Health) 5 months to send the bill with the correct amount, overcharged my card on the last installment of my payments, and I havent still received the refund of that overcharged money after 40 days and too many phone calls. They are not a hospital, they are scammers ripping us off.

The best staff I ever met in medical facilities work here

I had one of my first surgery in this hospital. And Im very pleased with every stuff members include doctor and RN. What i liked most about this hospital is that everyone station Ive been to they were smiling and very caring, and helped me with the procedures. which is very rare in most of hospitals today. They encouraged me when I was nervous.This is how hospital should run their floors. Every hospital should hire people who actually want to be there and help others, if money is someone’s first priority then they shouldn’t be there.Here is one great example, the doctor prescribed me medication but i was confused with how would i take them. I called pharmacy at night (10/23/2020- 8:29 pm) it was closed, then a nurse picked up and she said she would help me to figure out, she tried to pull my information but system didn’t work. But still was there for me and assured she will find someone who could help. She connected me with pharmacy especial, and the specialist was beyond amazing and she pulled my information and went by every steps. Im grateful for their efforts and services.I don’t know name of those to amazing people. But if you worked this day and answered my call at this time, then you know who you are. Thank youAlso thanks to the Dr. mahesh babu, Jennifer, Anthony, Patel , Richie and amazing nurse Joanne.

The worst when it’s comes to patients care and treatment On the COVID Floor . Patients has been sitting waiting for treatment for hours without our any help from the Doctors and nurses . Would not recommend anyone to go there for treatment In the future.

Honestly the best hospital in New York City the doctors and nurses are amazing and caring.

This is my second time visiting their emergency room and I was well taken care of. They see you right away and get you to the back. There is some wait time but all of the RN’s are attentive and willing to answer as many questions as they can. Everyone was very helpful. I recommend going to this emergency room.

Trust me if I could give Lenox Hill more than 5 starts I would. I deliver my baby there on September 2019 and it was a great experience.I had a Cesarean planned in a different hospital but I got contractions a day before and the closest hospital to my moms house was this one.The admission was fast. Nurses and doctors at the admission room where gentle and kind. I was checked fast to make sure everything was good with me and my baby.The waiting room, the recovery room and surgery room were very clean.Since it was a Sunday, I had to wait about two hours for my cesarean since there were 2 other moms having cesarean too. As soon as, I enter to surgery the nurse asked me what music I wanted to hear and what song I want them to put when my baby is born. Can you believe that?After getting recovered from the anesthesia I was moved to the floor. The room was big, clean and well adequated for you and the person that will stay with you for the time you will be there.Nurses in labor and delivery are the best!!! They are not only nurses but they become your friends. Always taking care of you and your baby and willing to help all the time.They provide you everything. Pads, soap, towels, diapers for the baby, receiving blankets, formula if your baby needs it, vaseline and some other things that I might not remember.Last but not least the food. If there is something people hate from hospitals is food, but food in Lenox hill is amazing! They have their own catering department to prepare whatever you want to eat. You have a menu to choose from. Yes, I wrote right, you have a menu to choose what you want for breakfast, lunch and dinner. You call the catering department and they bring it to your room as soon as possible.KEEP IT UP LENOX HILL!!

There are many affiliated doctors across the city that may not be in this particular location but they all share a common data infrastructure system which enables them to all have updated information about patients. I called the hospital looking for prenatal care and I was told by the office at 64 Street today 3/22/2021 that they don’t take woman who are over 14 weeks of pregnancy, absolutely absurd!!!

For the ER...escorted a friend to ER and and have nothing to convey but glowing reports. The guard at the front door was so kind and gracious.We needed a wheelchair and he was there for us. Also assisted us upon departure.When we made it upstairs to radiology-the staff could not have been more sensitive and gracious. Even in New York! Kidding. We have been in a couple of emergency rooms and very impressed with Lenox Hill.The elderly woman taking theintake was only okay.

My son had a stent put in on Friday 02/21/2020 for a heart blockage. He said from the time he arrived until he was discharged, that all personnel were super. He said he got the best of care and if he ever needs any kind of procedures, this where he would come to have it done.

From the time I walked in the I found the staff to be most helpful & caring. Had surgery there in August. My Dr. was wonderful & caring and the week I was there the entire staff from the nurses to the kitchen staff that brought my meals were professional and pleasant.

My daughter was born here last week. I cannot thank enough the whole team that made our stay incredible. Everybody was so nice and so understanding. Nurses and lactation consultant helped us in the breastfeeding process, pain was taken into account. I couldn’t imagine a better experience. Thank you so much, you made this very special moment even more special for us.

Horrible Service, Keep you waiting in pain for MANY HOURS to give you meds, Do not supply clean linens, pillows, towels, socks, Leave you in the hallway unattended for hours, dont feed you, They leave you feeling UNCARED FOR, Unattended, and Untrusting, that you are in good hands. Hospital is very clean and decent. Staff was wonderful. Had to get a certain thing done and had security and cops with me guarding my door at all times. The entire night I felt protected and nurses were on point. I live nowhere near here but an incident had happened on a city trip gone wrong but I have no complaints. Everyone took great care of me.

I was transferred here from the 14th street location for emergency surgery after a hit and run. Everyone from the nurses to the surgeon to the wait staff deserve 5 stars. I stayed in the executive suites which were stunning and the food was amazing.

I had major back surgery here on Feb 26th. Even though the recuperation was excruciating and uncomfortable every staff member I came into contact with from check in to discharge a week later was a high quality and stellar experience! You really felt that the team was in sync and incredibly kind and competent. I hope for the entire hospitals successful future when the new modernized facility gets built and with no nonsense neighborhood interference!

This use to be a good hospital with good doctors and nurses, they use to be very nice now they have such a bad attitude. My name is Jose I was there today and they refuse to see me, intend of taking care of me one nurse was checking black Friday deals, nurses were talking to each others and doctors sitting there like patience have no needs. I was there at 6:30 am, nobody was able to see me I decided to go to a different hospital need to change your attitude and be more respectful with patients

The staff are amazing and the facilities are very good. I have been there twice to have babies and the service was even better this time than last. Highly recommend it for deliveries, and if you are willing to pay up for a private room in the maternity ward you can get a really nice room! Youll wait a while at the ER but thats to be expected.

Wonderful, nurses are caring ,helpful,knowledgeable, same as doctors ,rooms are not bad size very clean ,friendly staff ,accommodating to patients and family ,friends.For a child visiting family members patients they make it as pleasant ,understandable,nurses,doctors explain to children or child all the in and outs in terms they will be able to understand and not make it frightening. You can have no worries, if a someone you love is here.ICU 8th floor, & step down.Remember there will always be a bad apple in every bunch. More great apples than bad!!!!!

The team of doctors, nurses and support staff made my week stay there the best it could be. My circumstances for being there were not good, but everyone made me very comfortable. Constant attention 24/7. The facilities were state of the art. I wish I didnt have to be in the hospital at all, but Lenox Hill made it okay. And the food was good too.

Medical care was very good for my wife. Doctors and nurses very nice . I wished they have a chapel for multi faith pray room. I end up shuffling to closest places. Hospital is an old building, I guess NY typical. We came all the way from Dallas for a specialist in this hospital for surgery.

I was hospitalized for 5 days and I cant begin to express how well the nurses on the 9th floor took such amazing care for me. Everyone on that floor is pleasant, knowledgable, courteous and just made my stay that much better. A nurses job is not easy and I truly take my off to them and appreciate all that they do. To Charge Nurse, Mrs. J, youre staff truly rocks!.

My grandfather was treated here for a stroke . Many of the doctors and nurses were extremely helpful and caring but unfortunately there were others that were not . Nurse Brigetta Williams was absolutely horrible. She had no patience , no compassion and was extremely rude . If you are not happy with your choice of work consider doing something else . It is not fair to the hospital or to the patients . We had a family member there every day supervising my grandfather and helping out with anything that was needed . If anything we made the nurses job easier . Another individual who needs lessons in compassion and decency is the night nurse Manager “Victor “. His personality was the equivalent of A Nazi . His only concern was kicking out family members when they are trying to comfort a loved one in distress . My Overall experience at Lennox hill was decent with the exception of these two individuals . Please don’t let this take away anything from this hospital as there are many employees who do a excellent job here and have wonderful attitudes . My grandfather was released after two weeks of treatment and we felt confident that the hospital did everything they can do to help his condition. God bless .

**Update** someone did eventually contact me regarding this issue. I was asked what would I like to happen to resolve this issue. I told the person over the phone. Make sure the family room is clean proper and get rid of the mice. I also asked if I could have my bag replaced. Then I was asked how old was the bag. I told the individual that the bag was 5 years old. I even emailed a few pictures of the glue trap stuck to my bag. I was then asked if I could take any more pictures🤢🤮. I was told if I can find the receipt from five years ago showing that I paid for the bag. The bag might could be replaced or the other option was for me to take the bag, to the cleaners to see if it can be cleaned. I could pay for the cleaners and get reimbursed.I told the individual that I threw the bag in the garbage. At that point I didnt want to be bothered by the issue anymore. I wanted to focused on healing from my surgery and enjoying my baby.I didnt like the fact that the hospital worker who contacted me tried to make me feel as if I was lying. You dont tell an individual oh its New York, its rats and mice everywhere 😱.**I had my baby here a few weeks ago. I love my doctors and had awesome nurses, that took really good care of me and my baby. The issue that I had was, the evening that I checked in on the six floor. I seen a mouse running around in the family waiting room along with glue traps along the radiator. I told the individual that was on staff that evening that theres a mouse running around in the family room. The individual didnt seem surprised. Days later when I had my baby. My relative had my luggage bags waiting in the family room for me to come out of the OR. There was a mouse glue trap stuck to my luggage bag. 😞 my relative took a picture of the glue trap stuck on my luggage bag. She also informed staff, I contacted several people and also email individuals regarding this matter. No one has yet to contact me back its been several weeks later.

When entering you are greeted by someone not with a hello, welcome, what can I help you with but rather where are you going with a tone of disdain. Apparently to an appointment is not sufficient. After explaining in a non-confidential area to someone who is clearly not a medical profession the reasons I am here I am given a hall pass and allowed to enter. What is the point of this pass? You dont wear it. Is there a roaming security patrol asking to see your pass? Its not like the guy verified I had an appointment so clearly its not to ensure only patients and those visiting patients are allowed in. Also, the only reason I have the time to write this review is because Ive been waiting over 30 minute past my appointment time. Why is it that medical professionals, and I use that word loosely, waste peoples time so often?

Vacation (TX) turned emergency hip surgery. Two teams, ortho & cardio, Excellent care including nursing & support staff. Above & beyond service! Thank You!!!

I just had open heart surgery this past week and I cant recommend them enough . From my visit to my cardiologist Dr Marc Nolan who found my problem , to Dr Kliger and finally to the Doctor who became my surgeon , Dr Derek Brinster this went from being a terrifying time for me to an incredibly great medical experience .My care after the surgery by the nurses on the 9th floor was amazing . A few of them were Melissa , Kristin , Cat and Eunice . Kendra the Physicians assistant was also amazing .When I was being discharged these young ladies were hugging me like I was their own dad . I was so touched by the whole experience and I want to Thank them all so much . I highly recommend this hospital !!

Had a great experience with ER. My son split his forehead. Was admitted in 5 minutes, seen a doc in 10. Another 30 min and plastic surgeon came. He put stitches in no time. We stay another hour for observation due to possible concussion. My travel insurance got in touch with the hospital directly and I didnt have to do anything. Everyone was so nice! All smiles. The lady offered a food for my son but he wasnt hungry so we declined. But its a nice if her to ask even though we stayed there not more than 2 hours all together.

The worst hospital Ive ever been to. Ive been coming to visit a family member for a week now and the room is always HOT! TODAY ITS 96 OUTSIDE AND IT FEELS LIKE ITS 96 IN THIS ROOM. NO WONDER PATIENTS GET INFECTIONS. Isnt the cold supposed to keep the germs AWAY! SMDH THIS IS RIDICULOUS AND UN ACCEPTABLE! Get it together LENOX HILL! NORTH WELL HEALTH! WHY IS THE ONLY AC IN THE HALL! On some days!😡 The staff is very nice accept for this one nurse who didnt wear protective gear(posted on the wall to wear protective gear) and didnt introduce herself or say hi to the family. Every other day nurses and doctors were nice and polite and acknowledged us in the room! Terrible just terrible!AND AFTER MY AUNT WAS MOVED THEY KEPT THE FAN WE BOUGHT HER! CLAIMED THEY DONT KNOW WHO CLEANED THE ROOM!

The doctor does a round and mentions all things that need to happen, then nothing is done. ImStill waiting for a bandage to be changed 13 hrs later and no sign of anything happening anytime soon.Update: its now been 25 hrs and still no clue as to when my dressing will be changed.UPDATE: dressing eventually changed by very capable and friendly staff member.Note: all staff were extremely friendly and courteous, its a shame there was such a breakdown in communication somewhere which resulted In my predicament.

Its 1 of the best hospitals in NYC. Excellent service on ER. I didnt had to wait much to see a doctor. Doctors and nurses are really Good. Tests were done quickly and the thing I liked most is they Care about patients and are always there for any need of patients. Its really opposite of what I read on its review. Great hospital service and the Quickest n Best ER.
