Absolutely terrible. Despite saying that my school accepts this insurance, my school has denied insurance waiver multiple times. This company has been giving it all but to give me a refund for a service that I cant even use. Theyve been screening my emails and my queries. Imagine yourself being in a situation where youre in need of an urgent care, they dont even respond. Im going to escalate this with my bank. Please do yourselves a favor and dont get this insurance. You will absolutely regret it.

When you look at the plans they seem very good but the moment you look for doctors and clinics youll find that there are non. You might find doctors far away from where you live. This insurance only wants your money without helping you and you will eventually pay out of pocket because no doctor even heard on ISO.

I bought it in 2019 and I was very satisfied. I just want you guys to read your coverage details ... In my opinion what they commit, they provide.. my son was born and as per the plan i selected , they covered 75% of the expenses after deductible... Thats the best i can get at this price...

Worst insurance company and worst insurance policy ever! Don’t waste your money for a scam insurance that doesn’t cover anything! I paid 300$ for 3 months and every time you wanna see a doctor you need to pay 100$ deductible, that’s rediculous. My school offers health insurance 500$ per semester which covers everything. I won’t purchase from this company anymore. They are just making money without providing any service. It doesn’t cover ANYTHIING! In the policy it also says that if you have an accident, you won’t be covered. I’m wondering what is this insurance cover!? Lol

ISO customer care help me answer all my questions. I was able to waive out my school plan saving me and my parents money. Very helpful and I would recommend all my friends and anyone looking for insurance.

They are taking my money for 9 months, and when i needed to use it, they did not COVER ANYTHING. Now i have a bill almost 3k. I do n ot recommend them at all!!!

I am an international student and i always choose ISO as my insurance company. They offer great plans for students and they have user-friendly website that you can choose and purchase your plan easily. Those people who rating one stars complaining about bills are not covered have NO idea about the coverage of the plan they choose. Read the coverage carefully can prevent you from wasting money and time. They have several different plans, be responsible for yourself. ISO also has great customer service. The phone line is always available during working hours and the staffs are helpful and friendly. Agent Kaijo is great I asked her a lot of question and she was very patient and detailed for me. Five stars, no complains.

I have been a loyal customer of this insurance company since 2015. But in 2019, they started partnering with a new insurance administrator Wellfleet. The claims handling of Wellfleet is absolutely the worst. To get my $33 prescription reimbursed, I have spent at least two hours calling and writing emails to explain to the customer representatives that my claim form was attached to the 1/7/2020 email which they conveniently ignored and denied my claim saying that I havent responded to a request for the claim form. Absolutely outrageous. Worst claims handling.

I spent so much time to find a good insurance plan with inexpensive rate that fulfills NYU waiver requirements. Finally got ISO plan based on NYU recommendation. Affordable rate with great coverage, excellent customer service helping with my waiver form. The claim process is easy that I just showed my card to the school center. They even covered my three HPV shots last semester which are so expensive. I just enrolled for this year and again save almost $3000. Highly recommend to all international students!

This company has a rating of 1.5 for obvious reasons. If there is an option for the negative star; I would definitely give them. I visited my doctor and claimed my process and still, its showing me that I have to pay my doctor and the lab I visited. I am a member with ISO for years since I was F1 full time students at university, and now become OPT status. Last semester, my school changed waiver requirements in the middle of the academic year. ISO customer representatives tailored plans and assist me through the waiver denial issue in 2 days. I am impressed by their prompt response. I have referred many friends to ISO and got the referral bonus from them.

I have been using ISO for the past 3 years as an undergraduate student. They would revise plans to meet my school requirements every year, so I didnt have to buy an expensive plan from school. When I needed to find doctors, customer service was helpful and explained me about the benefits I could get from the plan. They have great deals if you are looking for inexpensive plans to save up money. ISO does not offer eye or dental plans when I checked last time; Im not sure if they do now.

Pray that you will not have an accident if you bought insurance from this company. It happened to me, and I had very little to almost no help from them. So, please, AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

I wouldnt mind if you guys create a $1000 insurance package as long as it actually covers something. Needed to check the doctor but having to use my own pocket money although i had “an insurance.” Lol, please dont pay people to write some rude reviews about other people who gave you 1 star, it only makes your brand look even more downgraded tbh.There is no reason that so many people give you that low rate.

Be careful about whatever they say. On their page about insurance for UVA student, they said you have to buy 12 months insurance to waive schools insurance. However, the school only require the insurance to cover the school year which means you only need 9 months coverage.

I went to a doctor visit about my chest pain, paid my visit in FULL, mail the documents as specified in their manuals and got an email saying its processed. Guess what, the result of being processed means that I owe the EXACT amount that I ALREADY paid for. I feel like I was scammed. I resonate strongly with the negative reviews here and the good ones baffles me. This company has a rating of 1.5 for obvious reasons. If there is an option for 0 star, the overall review will probably be 0.5.

If I could give negative stars, I would. ISO refused to pay my claim despite me providing every single document they asked for (and it was a lot). I ended up paying over $1000 for a 5 minute visit to a doctor. To everyone, do not trust this shady company! I went to two walk-in clinics listed on the healthsmart website and both refused to see me as ISO has a reputation for not paying bills.

They are irresponsible. When I called customer care to buy the insurance, they told everything along with eye and dental will be covered. After the appointment was done with ophthalmologist, they are denying that my insurance will not cover. I asked them annoyingly twice while buying and they are denying it.Some other appointments, they told it is a pre existing condition and they are not going to cover. If it was pre existing condition, why would I go to a doctor after 8 months from the day that I bought the insurance ? Totally sense less.I was using this insurance since 1 year and they did not spend a single dollar on my 7 doctor visits.Me: Will it at-least cover accidents ? Ex: When I met with an accident while driving a car?REP: We will cover when no other insurance will cover it.WOW!! . Wonderful. The most irritating customer reps I have ever spoken with. I need to repeat my self several times to make her understand a simple questions and I have to provide multiple different examples to get answers.WORST of the worst customer service. Stay away of this shady insurance company! They come up with annual deductible cost, which is $1,250, and they’re claiming that after exceeding this cost only, they’re going to cover. Do not use this insurance company. I have filed my superbills with them from October of 2016 and they mistakenly sent it to the clinic instead of my home address. Its February 2017 and till now I have not received my reimbursements. Absolutely ridiculous!!!Im actually updating this. There customer service contacted me and said they needed to reconfirm my address (Who knows why despite them sending all their explanation of benefits to my address with no problems). And despite them stating they would send it with in a week its been two weeks and still no reimbursement. Its just empty promises. Please please please do not use this health insurance; its not worth it and Id give it 0 starts if possible.

I am willing to release all the information and documents that prove my claim. The HealthSmart Insurance handles all the claims and will deny any bills. They have the most irreverent and uneducated Customer service. They wont pay for anything. If you already have got any bill the only way to get your rights is to hire an advocate and fight them at a court as I am doing so.

WORST HEALTH INSURANCE, DO NOT BUY THIS. They didnt even cover a 35$ blood test I did. The most unhelpful, money hungry organization ever. I have been trying to access my account to view the status of my claims and it has suddenly disappeared seems convenient since the 90 days claim period is approaching. I have never felt so undermined and extorted. They have no customer service representative handling claims and no direct personnel to reach out to via email to assist you in filing your claims. Updated on 3/23/2017. I just received a very STRANGE Explanation of Benefits. Not only the insurance said they will not cover any of my bill, but they double my bill, which means, (I went to that clinic twice on that claim day, but actually I ONLY went to the clinic ONE time on that day). At the same time, they showed some weird formula and give me some discount, which make me still need to pay more than the original bill!!!(and the fake discount just want to tell me, I am better than what I should be)Because as I said, I ALREADY paid the bill myself, and I just checked with the clinic and clinics parent company. I DO NOT OWE any money!! Now, seems like they are trying to make a fraudulent bill and try to threat me! Do never choose this company.My experience is beyond unbeliavable. 2 months ago I had to go to the doctors to do a couple of tests. Because the doctors were not sure about my benefits, they decided to call ISO to ask them if I had coverage for the service, and ISO said yes without asking specifically for which type of tests.2 months later, I just received a 400 dollar bill from ISO asking me to pay the amount and claiming that they do not cover anything with some stupid excuse. Pure fraud

When I didn’t activate this insurance, I found that it doesn’t cover anything, so I contacted the insurance company and wanted to cancel the insurance plan. They just said that unless you Be a soldier! Otherwise, I won’t refund the money. I’m going to laugh to death. Where can the international students go to serve as a soldier?
