From a fitness standpoint, this is a pretty solid gym. There’s two floors with cardio equipment and lots of machines and weights. I personally like the bottom floor way more than the top cause it’s super specious they have good number of benches, free weights and TRX cables.I’m really not a fan of the two floors being so far apart, the second floor of the gym is really the 9th floor and the elevator is INCREDIBLY slow. I genuinely don’t think I’ve ever ridden on a slower elevator in my life. The locker rooms are also on the 9th floor so I often find myself wasting a lot of time going up and down between the main weight floor and the upper level. However the views especially from the yoga studio and rooftop patio are STUNNING. One of the best views of the city that I can recall. The rooftop pool itself doesn’t have the best view and it’s really small. If they can figure out how to make the elevator more efficient, this gym has potential to be great.

The equipment is very good, usually working and usually clean. The cost is very high and you can only use this equinox club with your membership. There is pressure to use their trainers and they treat their trainers so poorly that there is constant turnover.

Why are the elevators never working? There are no other ways to get up to the 9th floor to get to class and if you are already up the only way down is by taking the stairs which you cant take to go up, just down. Its extremely inconvenient, this gym is NOT cheap and having faulty elevators in quite scary.

Was really excited to join this gym for the pool, city views and nicer locker room, showers, sauna etc. Unfortunately these are all on the 9th floor which is almost always inaccessible because the elevator is constantly broken. This gym is not worth the destination price tag because all the destination features are not available due to a broken elevator.

My favorite equinox. It’s never crowded. The main floor is perfect for weights. Even the stair master is on the first floor. I just wish the locker room had automatic locks.

Not cool. New management closed pool 3 weeks early this year. Pool is a main draw for members. Thanks guys... 83 degree weather coming up. Further, they abruptly notified members 1 day prior to closing; clearly dont have their act together. Used to be a great spot, now mgmt just wants to milk this place and members for every last dollar.

This pool is so good that its tempting to pay the $175/month gym membership just for daily summer swimming. However, pool access is included with spa services, so treat yourself to a quick massage or facial in the morning and jump on in after.Pool hours 5:30am-11pm during the week, and 8am-8pm on weekends.

If you want to know what perfection looks like, come to this gym. The amazing studios, classes, and personal training is more than enough to make me happy. The gym also has a rooftop pool that is to die for. There are few places that are as chic, fun, and cool in New York City. Membership is expensive, but well worth it.

Ive been to dozens of gym locations in the city and this one is my personal favorite. Printing House is never too packed and the machines always work perfectly. The rooftop pool is beautiful but a bit of a waste since you cant bring guests, still a nice touch though and I understand that guests would make it overcrowded. Lastly, the staff is incredibly nice and responsive. If I ever have a request or complaint they resolve it within a day and even follow up to make sure I was satisfied. Its almost unsettling to be treated that well. Plus their towels are soft, and who doesnt love a nice soft towel.

Upgraded my membership to all access to try out the different locations. Im greeted with you cant come here. I ask if theres something wrong with my membership. They say all access doesnt cover this location and an upper west one. So whys it called ALL ACCESS if its NOT ALL ACCESS?For a gym that spends so much on branding and marketing, maybe someone could work on non-misleading membership names. The one that includes the other locations is called destination. I spitefully upgraded and the only destination aspect of this place was that I had to walk from the high line one to here when I realized working out in a windowless basement level was depressing AF. I couldnt find someones ranking of the gyms but if you have one, please share to save us all some pain. The Soho one is my favorite so far--good balance of all equipment on one floor, big windows, lounge space.

Very nice gym with chill roof deck and pool. Been a member for years. Came today though 7/29/18 and the pool liner was very dirty. Looks like no ones cleaned the pool since it opened. Black slimy dirt along the entire rim of pool.

One of my favorite Equinoxes to go to. I drive and work in various locations in the city. Usually work out before 8 am and after 6 pm. Theres on street non metered parking by this equinox.Once inside, the layout is a bit awkward. I feel the elevator wait time is a bit annoying especially if youre pressed for time BUT...When I use the locker rooms, theres always space. Theres always a shower. It is immaculate. Towels, cream, soap etc all top notch.Huge selection of machines on various levels and lots of floor space. I rarely feel crowded or rushed. Obviously though it is a shared gym and so sometimes you have to work in sets with others. Plus a lounge area if you need to kill some time or get some work done. And of course, the roof top lounge is fantastic. Feels like getting away every day after work in the summer.

I think this place is seriously overrated. The shower facilities are becoming a bit tired, and on top of that you usually have to wait for a shower (just forget getting a hair dryer!). The machines often dont work and the class schedule makes no sense. Definitely not worth the expensive monthly price tag.

The Equinox Printing House is the cadillac of gyms. Not only do they have the typical nyc gym amenities; rows of the latest equipment, trendy classes, and an on-site juice bar, but they also have a full spa and rooftop pool. Additionally if youre feeling achy in between sets, theres a guy giving chair massages near the stretching mats. Hands down my favorite gym in the city.

Easily the best Equinox in the city, mainly due to the amazing rooftop - where you can take yoga or hit the outdoor pool. Need a special membership for this gym - its not part of the all access pass.

AWFUL!!!I joined Equinox because I thought it was a good and safe environment. I went to the Printing House, 421 Hudson St, NYC, to have a nice and relaxing day, and instead, my wallet was stolen right out of my locker. The manager was nowhere to be found and the staff were not helpful and were cold, dismissive, and disinterested in helping me or even reporting the problem to the manager. I personally believe this may have been an inside job.I bumped into another Equinox member in the elevator on my way out, who saw I was visibly upset, and I explained the situation. He mentioned that this had happened to him at this exact location twice before! This whole experience make it very difficult to have an enjoyable – or even normal – workout since you can’t leave your personal belongings in the locker room and feel confident that they will be there when you return. I would strongly advise anyone considering joining Equinox to find another alternative – one where repeated burglaries will be taken seriously, measures will be implemented to try to prevent them going forward, and the staff cares about the well-being of the members

Atrocious customer service. I joined this gym 5 weeks ago because I was looking for a better gym with a better experience, and to not interact with obnoxious gym goers. This place turned out to be a Frathouse not a west village high end club. Some of the trainers are pushy, loud and obnoxious, trying to force an introduction into members, using the gym as their own private property with no regard for actual paying members. One of those pretentious fratboy trainers named Yomi tried to rush me to finish squats cos he wanted to use the equipment himself! or in another instance that same trainer was video taping another trainer, with me in the middle of that video without being asked! No consideration to a members privacy or experience at this gym!The bigger issue is when reporting this rude behavior to the training manager ( Russell Suggs ) he shamelessly said some trainers upload videos to Instagram ( with paying members privacy not relevant !)and that was it. I was actively ignored by him for over two weeks!! He purposefully avoided any contact with me on the gym floor. Not what Id expect from a manager at a DESTINATION club.Only when I escalated the issue to Russells manager did I get a response from Russell that did not have any apologies about his trainers behavior or what steps were taken, but to blatantly reframe the entire issue as a personality difference! I just joined this gym and never engaged that trainer in conversation, I come to the gym to exercise and be in my zone, not to have loud pretentious fratboy trainers competing for equipment and machines with me as a paying member, or interrupting my workouts to force an introduction! So basically I had to go all the way up to the General manager just to be able to use the gym as intended. An average gym should provide a good environment for members to exercise and use the facilities, and this is supposed to an upscale venue that instead of providing an upscale environment they present members with a rude trainer competing with actual paying members to use the weights / machines. Or videotaping other trainers and including unsuspecting members in the video! and above all to have their managers shamelessly ignore the issue. This gym has no regard for personal space or a members experience. Atrocious customer experience.
