I am new to NYC and had an urgent need to seek consultation from a GI doctor. My spouse came across Dr. Alpert’s profile in Zocdoc and booked me an appointment with him based on his stellar credentials and good reviews. I was apprehensive at first but immediately after my first visit, I surely felt positive that I have found a wonderful provider. Dr. Alpert makes you feel comfortable and shows a lot of empathy and compassion to his patients. He has excellent bedside manner and makes sure all your questions were answered. I would surely recommend anyone to see him and I know he would not fail in supporting you with your heath issue. Thank you very much Dr. Alpert and to all his attentive and friendly staff.

The doctor and all staff at the office have been so friendly, reassuring, and diligent. Could not recommend this office more!Edit:I was told I would receive results from the testing conducted in two weeks - after two weeks, I called and was told there was nobody in the office able to verbally give me my results and to wait another week. I have called multiple times asking for my results, and am always told I will receive a call back same-day. It is now almost a month since my test and the office has not given me my results - they also are apparently unable to release them to me electronically. This is a pretty pressing medical issue and the fact that I dont even know what my results are and nobody is able to provide them for me is deeply disturbing. The bedside manner of the staff is incredible but I would be hard-pressed to return based on the lack of followup and broken promises from the office. This has been an incredibly stressful experience and I would encourage all to keep this in mind before making an appointment; no matter how nice you are, if patients dont receive their results it is all for naught.

Dr Alpert is by far the kindest and most thorough doctor I’ve had! The whole office staff is great! Highly recommend.

I highly recommend Dr Alpert’s office! I had the best experience ever. My medical procedure went very well thanks to Dr Alpert’s amazing team. Nurse Bertha is the nicest nurse I’ve ever met! She made me feel stress free! Same for Dr Chiang the anaesthesiologist, he made me laugh and I literally forgot I was about to have a medical procedure.

This Russian old woman at this office is the rudest person Ive ever met. Unresponsive, rude with full of attitude. This doctor repeatedly want to do is Endoscopy or Colonoscopy. These procedures can make a lot of money for him. No health history was ever being asked. Stay away from this most dangerous doctor.

This guy doesnt particularly look at your history, and is too quick to tell people to get an endoscopy. he gets an anesthisialogist to do the anesthisia, but this person may not be covered by your insurance, so they go ahead with the procedure anyway, and you run the risk of getting surprised billing. the anesthisia is billed separately from alpert, so buyer beware. its a red flag when doctors liberally tells people to do endoscopy without knowing too much about the patients problem.

In my first hand experience, Dr. Alpert is the best Gastroenterologist so far. He made me feel important and gives more time listening to my complaints and in turn answered with full explanations in laymans term. He remembers my history and provides in advance what to expect before and after my 2 procedures- Endoscopy on Oct. 7 and Colonoscopy on Oct. 28,2019. The 2 procedures and the experiences were a snap, no problem. Even his 2 anesthesiologists are commendable. I slept like a baby. I was taken cared of and everything went well without any complications. He is a topnotch doctor in his field.That is why he is one of the top doctors in his field in NYC. Dr. Alpert is the best! He takes the time to talk to his patients extensively before any procedures and makes sure that they are comfortable that all their questions have been answered. He and his staff put you right at ease when you are in their office. Highly recommend him.

Dr. Alpert is the best doctor I have had! I always look forward to my appointments because he makes me feel important and gives sincere listening time and ask questions about me and my overall well being. He also remembers my history and sits and looks at me. He talks with me without a computer. He is relaxed, calm, warm, easy to understand and is rated by his peers as one of the top doctors in his field in NYC. Hes a rare one and a special one!!!

You might seen a lot of positive reviews for this doctor. Based on my experience, this doctor just care money. I found him online due to the positive reviews. Turned out the worst doctor ever met. Doctor assistants are terrible. Waiting time is almost 2 hrs. Felt helpless. Not recommend to this doctor. Im leaving this doctor for good.

Dr Alpert and staff have been wonderful to me and my family. He spends the time listening and talking with you about your problems and concerns. I never feel rushed and appointments are always on time. I have recommended dr Alpert to several friends and all have been happy too. :). We need more doctors like him. My experience as a patient of Dr. Alpert was the BEST MEDICAL EXPERIENCE I have ever had.

I have been a patient of Dr. Alperts for several years. He has performed colonoscopies on myself and my wife, and a few endoscopies for me, besides going to him for various other gastric issues. Of course Ive gone to other gastroenterologists in my life, but Dr. Alpert is by far the best. And its taken me years to find him!He is friendly, patient, listens and answers every question I have, and gives me great suggestions on what I can do to help whatever problem I have. And if I have to have a procedure done, Dr. Alpert explains everything about it, to inform me and put me at ease.I know it sounds like Im describing him as perfect, but I really never had anything but a great experience with him in the years Ive been his patient. I guess thats why he has the One of the Most Compassionate Doctors plaque on his wall. Others agree with me, too! I would (and have) referred him to family and friends, and I havent heard anything negative about their experiences, too.P.S. - Dr. Alperts staff is also top notch. Its obvious he went to the trouble to find great people to have in his office. It wouldnt be good to have a great experience with the doctor and have negative ones with the staff. Of course its more important to have a great experience with the doctor, but it only makes it that much better to have a nice staff to deal with when you visit. And after any procedure, they always call me the next day to see how Im doing. I know other offices do that as well, but it only adds to the pleasant experiences there with Dr. Alpert. I highly recommend him.

I had the wonderful fortune of having been referred to Dr. Alpert by one of my sisters who, in response to my complaints of painful stomach troubles, spoke of him as the perfect source of medical care I was seeking. My sisters recommendation could not have been better! From the moment I met Dr. Alpert, I knew I was in the right office and, even more importantly, in the care of the right medical professional. Since the condition seemed to have appeared out of no where, I was truly confused and worried. In addition to asking all of the right questions, as well as having read my medical history, Dr. Alpert quickly identified the problem and offered an easy, quick solution. Dr. Alper is a delightful, thoughtful, man who has a wonderful capacity to ask the most pertinent of questions as well as truly listen to the answers. Within days of following Dr. Alperts recommendations, I am free of the pain that sent me to see him. But, in losing the pain, I gained the comfort of knowing I now have added thia ideal, smart, thoughtful and delightful gasteroenterlogist to my medical team.

M.D. was very nice , he took his time and was very pleasant, however his staff made me feel very uncomfortable. I sat in the waiting area for 20mins before they receptionist relized she hadnt given me any new forms to fill out , also I asked to reschedule my appt and the receptionist told me I cant reschedule that I would just be charged the $100 cancelation fee. the front end of this office is horrible. Practice would benefit better if there was friendly nice staff attached.
