I used to come when Dr. Gaur & Dr. Marissa were still there and I was highly satisfied. Last two times (2021) I went were a joke though. I got an in-person appointment and then a phone appointment that lasted 3 minutes, it did not help at all, she clearly did not care and did not try to help. They care to charge your insurance and co-pay though. I used to highly recommend this office but I dont recommend anymore.

Do not go here. Doctors do not pay attention to requests. Very poorly managed and unprofessional staff. I would avoid at all costs and am promptly changing providers. Absolutely terrible. If i could give them 0 stars, I would. Also, in reply to their reply: this office is a RACKET. They will do anything to squeeze an extra dime out of you including: ignoring patient correspondences and then coming up with additional ways to bill you for services that are not required.

This practice is horrible, while my first time going I was satisfied a few years ago, but now the service, staff, and doctors are really bad and uneducated. If you have any problems they will not diagnose you properly, so that you have to keep making several appointments. Also if you have several issues they will make you make separate appointments for each issue..

I was very dissatisfied with the hostile tone, volume and manner in which the office manager at this practices clinic, located at 110th street, spoke with me over the phone. I called regarding changing physicians and setting up subsequent appointments with another physician in their practice since my current physician moved. Prior to this phone call, I was very happy with this practices care and was willing to test out another doctor. However, this task deemed very challenging for the patient care coordinators at the front desk, and instead of acting with patience and kindness and providing genuine help to facilitate proper navigation of this situation, the office manager was seemingly unable and unwilling to listen and subsequently became frustrated and rude. After this phone call I will no longer be returning as a patient

This practice is such a disappointment. They send bills 9 months after services are delivered, dishonestly bill for services that did not occur, and their best providers have left, unsurprisingly.

If I could leave a negative rating I would. Please save yourself the headache and negative experience. When I started going to Westside back in 2019/ early 2020 I had no complaints. Dr. Victor Guar and Marissa Greco were stellar and the office staff were wonderful. Over the course of the last 6 months I have been subjected to a horrific doctors office and infuriating experience.Let’s start with Doctor Martindale and his unprofessional, unethical, lazy behavior. My husband started seeing a psychologist, after months of meeting and careful consideration his psychologist called and spoke with Dr. Martindale giving a detailed diagnosis and strict recommendation on what medication to prescribe. He was informed that this prescription would require prior authorization with our insurance company but under no circumstances was he to prescribe the alternative medication as it was unsafe and extremely dangerous for my husband to be given the alternative. When prior authorization was required, Dr Martindale decided that it would be more appropriate to just change the prescription to the alternative medication that he was explicitly told not to prescribe in order to avoid a five minute phone call with the insurance company. Unfortunately for him, prior authorization was required for both medications. When he finally broke down and did his job and called the insurance company (after telling me it would take him four days to go through the process of prior authorization and we would likely have to start with the wrong medication) he contacted us 10 minutes later to inform us the correct medication had been approved and would be ready for pick up at our pharmacy within the hour. Most recently, I was alerted to an outstanding balance on my account of almost $400. When I looked at the statement I found that I was being charged $60 and $150 charges for all my appointments that I had with the practice for the last year. For what you may ask? “Outpatient Visit - 15 minutes” and “Evening Appointment Upcharge”. These appointments were already paid for in full (which the statements indicate) at the time of the visit, 4-10 months prior with doctors who are no longer with the practice. These are charges that were never disclosed and as far as I can see are ludicrous, pathetic attempts to gain a few dollars off patients.I really could not be more disappointed and furious with this practice. Please take my experience and spare yourself the time.

TLDR: irresponsible billing practicesI used to be super happy with WFM, and its really rare for me to leave a negative review, but I cant not post about this. I used to have the most comprehensive, awesome care at this practice, but both providers have left (not sure why but thats why Im giving 2 stars). In the past, its been plenty easy to book appointments, and I found the front desk staff to be helpful and responsive. However, this fall I used their online link to book ONLY a flu shot. When I went, the doctor decided to counsel me for several minutes on the arm vs. nose options. That was fine, but now theyre charging me for an office visit. My insurance refused to cover it because I had reached my limit, but when I contacted WFM (multiple times over several months) they simply told me that I had an office visit (which I never signed up for).Im very frustrated by how long this process has been with them- from Sept to end of Jan- and how theyre refusing to discuss this with me further. I used to give rave reviews of this practice, but I will not be back again.

I was billed for a call that they made to me.I was not treated in any way, and I was billed $150 for a 15 minutes visit that never happened. When I called the billing dept they said that they will direct it to the billing dept (to themselves).Id rate it as a scam.Maybe doctors are good, maybe, I dont know, but management is so bad, I wouldnt even dare calling them, they might bill me for that. Who knows, they might bill me for reading this review too.Id give them 0 stars if I could.

Can highly recommended Victor Gaur. Has been my PCP since I started to live in NYC. Always responsive to my questions (both digitally as when I go to the office). He really takes his time to understand your concerns and explain where your symptoms are coming from which has helped me understand my body better.

Dr Gaur is super friendly BUT no one answers phone, there is maybe a 20% response rate on patient portal. Had a test done a week and half ago and cant get anyone to contact me with the results. Im saddened by this lack of professionalism. Ive reached out 4 times on the portal asking someone to get back to me and only got one initial response telling me they had results and the Dr would be in touch. That was a week ago and its been silence since then. It appears I will have to find a new GP after this...too bad bc i do like Dr Gaur but I cant tolerate being treated this way as a patient.

Finding a family doctor in the city can be an intimidating process! Im thankful that we can arrange to see the same provider at the same location for checkups in advance and that we can be worked in with knowledgeable providers easily for sick visits. We have received attentive care, providers are very quick with klara responses, and providers take time during appointments and answer questions. Im happy my whole family can be seen by this practice!

I have yet to encounter any issues with Westside Family Medicine. The staff is very courteous and professional. The Physicians are very timely, friendly, and knowledgeable especially when giving explanations and action plans. The best aspect of using Westside Family Medicine is the ease and speed of communication regarding appointments, questions, and paperwork requests. I would definitely recommend them to others.

I wish I could say something positive but as of now I can’t. You can never get through thanks to the “awesome” receptionist I’ve called about 16 times in the past two weeks and nobody has gotten back to me yet. I’ve had issues with billing and I was only able to go once because I decided to walk in when they wouldn’t answer.

Some of these reviews are a sham....done by relatives or fellow doctors to whom this shameful clinic refers. It’s impossible to reach anyone or talk to a real person. You are seen by NP’s , when you want to see the doctor. The staff are these overweight girls who don’t bother to even look at you when you walk in. Well, they are doing something on their cell phone...it’s a dreary, drab unfriendly place and you leave feeling ripped off.

Doctor asked receptionist to send a message through the patient portal at end of business day generically asking me to come in for a follow-up after blood test results. Extremely unprofessional. Blood tests test for everything under the moon and sending a generic message like that is extremely concerning. Especially terrible because they have in my chart I am on anxiety medication. Either the results are bad and the doctor calls or the results or normal and I shouldnt need to come in - there shouldnt be an in between. I will not be going back here. Doctors @ St Lukes provide all labs over test and do not require a follow-up unless there is a problem. I will be returning there.

Usually dont write reviews, but wow what an awful experience this has been. I just got out of an appointment with Kimberly Dy and she was incredibly rude and confrontational. Ive seen Dr. Martindale and Dr. Gaur and theyre very sweet and professional, but nurse practitioner Kimberly Dy really made me feel like a second-rate patient. I disageed with her opinion after her diagnosis and she said that I should have asked for a different doctor. She agreed to prescribe but then she just walked out and said You can show yourself out. This experience was preceded by 8 non-responsive phone calls and a voicemail greeting that doesnt even mention the name of the clinic (So I dont even know if the number is correct). I had to walk into the office to make an appointment, I couldnt understand a word the receptionist was saying because the air conditioner is next to the receptionist and running like a jet engine. This place needs to get it together. With the exception of the two doctors that Ive seen, I cannot recommend this place. And even though its in my neighborhood and very convenient, Im switching to a more professional practice where they know how to treat sick people.

I received adequate medical care from Dr Bregman, who I found to be knowledgeable and compassionate during my annual exam. You need to BE WARY of Westside and their billing practices before selecting any doctors here. I dropped in for a flu shot (having talked to the receptionist to confirm that they do drop-in flu shots) after missing the free ones at my work, and they charged my insurance a full office visit — same price as if I’d received medical care from the doctor along with a large fee for the shot itself. Since I’d been healthy and not met my deductible, my 6-minutes flu shot cost me more than $100. You should also know that Westside and their offshore billing company will not let you speak via phone to them regarding bills. You can only “talk” to them through their online app. Not in real time, but back and forth over days and weeks. That means you can never really clarify office billing policies, state your case or get a straight answer.

The worst damn service you could possibly receive from reception. I honestly havent switched providers yet, only due to the proximity/convenience of the location and the ok treatment received from the doctors and nurses. Nothing stellar; nothing to brag about. (With the exception of a medical assistant named Bianca, who was always pleasant during my visits.)The one-star rating is specifically for the receptionists (yes, plural -- as in multiple employees at the front desk) clearly have not been HIPAA trained. Otherwise, my damn appointment visit wouldnt be discussed in an open forum such as the waiting room.Furthermore, I deserve to know what fees are being applied to every visit, no matter the cost. Whether $15, $150 or $1500 - its my hardworking dollar that helps to keep the lights on in your facility. So keep your eye roll and snarky attitude to yourself; put on a damn smile and be informative. As a healthcare receptionist, isnt that part of your duties? Or are you paid based on the number of rude remarks and terrible treatment provided to patients? Also, update your damn systems to show that I paid my bill. Everytime I pay for a visit in cash, your system cant seem to find any Or is someone pocketing some extra funds back there?Lastly, whats up with the follow-up policy? NPs have referred me out to specialists, where Ive visited for specific tests. Yet, nothing has been communicated to me from the NPs or doctors about test results received and what to do with such results. You know what communications I do receive immediately following a visit? The damn bill.Save yourself the headache and find another provider.

Ooh sorry everyone has had such poor Google experiences. Id give 3.5 if I could.Mine has been good - no walk-ins but CityMD is 6 blocks down for Urgent Care. My PCP is Dr. Martindale and hes great, thorough, personable. Klara (their patient communication system) is frustrating only because I havent tried to use it and I dont really have use for mail chat.Appointments are usually available within a few days depending on what you need. The front desk usually answers my calls. Sometimes they dont and thats because theyre busy. They have forgotten to call me back, have rules I dont understand about results disclosure via telephone. If you need a PCP for continuity and familiarity and personalization of care, they do the job. They fill that gap for CityMD. Otherwise CityMD is a little better with communication but it depends what youre looking for.I hope this helps.
