I had been looking for exactly this kind of eyecare place; the office itself, the staff and the doctor are wonderful. I dont usually write reviews but I do guide myself from reviews I read, so I would like to highly recommend West Village Eyecare because it may help someone else in their search.

Fantastic, personable, and thorough! I was switching from a nearby optometrist, and Dr. Zupa was just wonderful! Ive never thought anything one way or the other about my optometrist, but this was by far the best exam Ive ever gotten, and now I find myself a big fan of my optometrist! Dr. Zupa reviewed my eye health and taught me things Ive never learned over decades of eye exams! The office was small and clean and everyone was very friendly and professional. Im so glad I found them!

Great experience and highly recommend. Attentive front desk staff, Amanda, who is professional and kind. She efficiently reached out to me when I submitted the incorrect insurance information and verified everything before I arrived for my appointment. Text reminders for the appointment were appreciated. Dr. Serhrouchni has a wonderful manner. His exam was through, he explained everything as he was doing it, showed me the imaging they took. Just all around wonderful.

Update: Management reached out and tried to rectify the situation. I appreciate them being engaged and add a star for that. Stated being shorthanded as the reason for the trouble. I chose not to seek a remedy to the situation as it was in response to my review but it does appear they are open to listen and try to resolve issues.Small office with generally friendly staff. The doctor was very thorough with the fitment of my contact lenses.Slow response, no attention to detail, and overcharges.I asked for my prescription to be emailed to me.I would then respond with how my test contacts were fitting and to lock in the prescription.The doctor gave me the incorrect box of contacts to try (gave me contacts for people with astigmatism, these were not the ones I tried on in the office and wore out to test). This alone is not a big deal.When emailing to find out if these were, in fact, the wrong ones and to set up to pick up the correct ones, the responses were slow. Small office so Im sure it gets busy (management later stated they were shorthanded). This alone is not a big deal.Once I picked them up and found them to fit, I shot in an email to go ahead and order some. I was told there was a minimum order which I was fine with, however, they were trying to charge about $42 per box over retail. (Online there are even more coupons, driving the markup even further. I ended up getting 2 boxes covered by insurance online with money to spare when they wanted my insurance + $80) This alone is not a big deal.However, all these things combined made it a bad experience.

Dr. Zupa is very comprehensive and helped me with my glasses issues. Would highly recommend for general eye exams as well as contact exams!

Had an eye examination here this morning and it was one of the better ophthalmologists I’ve been to. Dr Victoria Zupa is the resident doctor and is very efficient and has the nicest manner. Receptionists are great. Would definitely recommend this office.

In todays hurry up world, it is amazing to find somebody like Doctor Hakim Serhrouchni. His professionalism, thoughtfulness and caring attitude toward his patients is wonderful. Dr. Hakim is the best. He got my eyes through a bad eye infection, and more than any other medical professional Ive seen, really cares about my eye health.Recently I was out of town and forgot to bring my contacts. I needed to pick up lenses the same day, and when I called Hakim he totally sorted me out with a local shop here and got me some free samples. Enough to get through the week. What a guy.

I saw Dr. Serhrouchni - he saw me right away, was thoughtful and thorough throughout my eye exam, and put me at ease. His office ordered my contacts right away so they were delivered the next day (very useful, since I was going on vacation).I would recommend - and have recommended - West Village Eyecare for anyone looking for expert, kind, and extremely professional opticians.

I was looking for a doctor that was primarily an optometrist, not an eyeglasses/contact salesperson. Dr. Serhrouchni fit the bill and provided excellent care. The practice has fantastic service too, sending an email when your contacts or glasses are ready for pickup.Theyre not pushy about getting your contacts or glasses through them, but doing so is the assumed default. Ive ordered contacts online for less.

I am not a patient at West Village Eyecare, but that didnt matter to the amazing people there. I woke up this morning and broke my glasses. With no backup and no contacts, I was stuck wearing my prescription sunglasses to get to work. I called West Village Eyecare at 9:15am and in under an hour I was able to pick up a pair of trial contacts, free of charge. I even made it clear to them I was unlikely to purchase future contacts or glasses from them, but that didnt stop them from giving the quickest and best service they could, to get me, a complete stranger, out of the bind I was in. A special thank you to Amanda, who was the person who facilitated all this, though clearly this is just the way they do business.

Ive been a patient of Dr. Serhrouchini for several years. As an airline pilot, taking care of my eyesight is crucial. I strongly recommend Dr. Serhrouchni for his friendly and patient manner as well as his expertise. Who ever looks forward to a visit to the eye doctor? I have been a patient of Dr. Serhrouchni for years. He always provides excellent service and takes time to make sure the lenses I need are the best possible for my vision. And there is no pressure to buy any particular frames. He and the staff will, of course, offer their opinion if you are unsure of a choice of frame but, otherwise, the decision is up to you.

Im 27 and my vision has been fluctuating for the last 6 months. Ive seen 2 doctors before visiting Dr. Victoria Zupa. The other doctors saw me, gave me a prescription and sent me on my way. I would get the prescriptions filled (which isnt cheap, on top of the doctor copays) and then a month later my vision would be blurry again. Dr. Zupa was the first to re-check my vision to see if the prescription was consistent, which was so gracious and thorough. She cares about her patients and wants to make sure that what she is doing will benefit me and I really appreciate her. Im very thankful for her thoughtfulness and Ill definitely be sticking with West Village Eyecare.
