I have been under Dr. Gupta’s care for over 7 years now, starting when she was at a larger hospital practice and then moved with her to Yantra. She has always been thorough, thoughtful, and caring. I really needed an endocrinologist that was well versed in the nuances of treating post-thyroidectomy hormone levels based not just on labs but also my personal optimal ranges. She has helped me stay where I best function by addressing multiple factors, not just the standard lab ranges. I’ve been under her care for over a year now. Dr.Gupta is excellent , easy to talk to , she is patient and very knowledgeable. She discusses your options with you and never forces any meds or supplements on you , she however would recommend what’s best for you. I live on Long Island and the first time I saw her, I went all the way to the city to see her because it’s always the best to meet in person for the first time to get to know one and another and built a good patient/doctor relationship . The office was very clean and beautifully decorated. The receptionist was real cold. No smile , no “how are you”, short answers, simply put unfriendly, but let me make it clear that she was not rude at all. In the last a few months I’ve been in contact with dr. Gupta’s office via emails (lots) and a couple of phone calls and with the calls I’m seeing it’s the same attitude, but you know what , I rather deal with someone who is cold but they are competent and gets back to me quickly then someone who’s super friendly but delays the email responses or isn’t competent at all. I’m mentioning this because if someone else is turned off by the receptionist lack of warmth, then know this , she does her job well and that is what’s most important , as for Dr.Gupta she is great in every way. I highly recommend her and her team !

This is a long overdue review for the best doctor i have encountered in NYC. After years of not feeling 100%, a doctor at Sloan Kettering recommended Dr. Gupta who quickly identified my issue (Hashimotos) and recommended an AIP diet. Yantra Endocrinology is an beautiful oasis in the midst of the chaotic NYC medical field. You walk into the space and feel immediately at ease and calm. The staff is inviting and warm, welcoming you to your visit. Dr. Gupta takes her time speaking to you and really listens to your concerns. She is very knowledgeable and offers choices, but she is not dogmatic with her recommendations. She is gentle and very approachable. I heartily recommend her practice!

I’m a huge fan of this practice. Dr. Gupta is warm, knowledgeable, and punctual, and really takes the time to get to know you so she can create an effective treatment plan. And it’s a major time saver to have your ultrasounds done right in her office. The waiting room (though I’ve never actually waited more than a few minutes) is calm and inviting. Dr. Gupta is an amazing doctor! She is extremely comforting, highly intelligent and knowledgeable. I have been battling Hashimoto’s for 10 years and desperately need a doctor who incorporates supplements, herbs to tackle the nagging problem and who does the ultrasound herself. I was fortunate enough to find Dr. A. Gupta! She was very attentive to my concerns, recommended the supplements and even smoothie that reduce inflammation, and discussed the foods that should be avoided. Dr. Gupta impressed me. After six months of visiting doctors in Westchester, I was discouraged. Im not sleeping, I have chronic pain, I am having all kinds of crazy issues, and I cant figure out whats wrong even though I have had test after test. While the waiting area is usually full of patients, there is always room to sit comfortably and you are never called upon later than your appointment time. The best Endocrinologist I have found in last 15 years!She is thorough, knowledgeable with latest research, and genuinely interested in my wellness through sustainable methods.Every doctor used to control my TSH level through medicine, but Dr. Ashita was able to manage my symptoms of bloating and tiring through medicines. I met Dr Gupta today. I have nothing but good things here. Staff was nice, office is very tranquil and she was fabulous. I’ve been searching for an endo like her and now after 4 tries the fifth was my charm. She’s close to Penn Station which is great. She takes insurance. It’s almost too good to be true but it’s true!

I cannot say enough about Dr. Gupta: she is kind, caring and an incredible doctor. My daughter found her online, based upon reviews, when a mass was found on my thyroid, incidentally, by an MRI of my C-Spine and I needed an endocrinologist. I am now compelled to write a review online because had those other reviews not been posted, we may never have found her. She performed the MRI guided biopsies flawlessly and painlessly-she is a wonderful doctor, I cannot recommend her highly enough, her competency, skill and kindness naturally instill confidence. I had called several times, always got an automated answer. I left a message a month ago and never received a call back. Called today left a essays and did recover a return call. I tried to tried to book appointment as a new patient and now they are no longer accepting new patients. Mind you on my insurance website it states they are. Was really looking forward to finding a new physician very disappointed at this process.

Such an amazing place. Its traumatizing to have to go see an endocrinologist, but this place is calming and quiet, and both doctors here, Dr. Ashita Gupta and Dr. Ana Maria Kausel were incredible. They took a lot of time with me to explain everything, and best of all, Dr. Kausel was available by email, too! I had to have a thyroid biopsy, something I had done before at a hospital where it was crowded and tense, and you had to wait, and it made it all more nerve wracking. Dr. Gupta did my biopsy--alone--in a private room that was peaceful, calm. The whole procedure took 4 minutes, there was no pain. She talked quietly through it to tell me what she was doing and why. I feel absolute trust with both these doctors. And I would never consider going anywhere else.

Dr. Gupta is an exceptional endocrinologist. She is kind, compassionate, caring, and thoughtful. Most importantly, she is extremely collaborative in the individualized care she provides for each of her patients; she listens carefully to her patients (e.g., symptoms, concerns, etc.) and factors that information into each patients treatment plan. After years of unproductive, disappointing, frustrating appointments with various endocrinologists, I found Dr. Gupta, who is an absolute godsend. She spent almost an hour listening as I told her about my unrelenting symptoms (which all my previous endocrinologists had disregarded) and reviewing the studies I brought to support my request to try a treatment protocol that is commonly practiced in Europe but not in the United States. Im happy to report that, with Dr. Guptas help, my symptoms have substantially decreased, and I actually look forward to going to the doctor for the first time in my life. Highly recommend Dr. Gupta!! This is my 4th Endo in less than a year and I am elated to say that I have finally found the perfect combination. Very calming atmosphere, and amazing communication!

Note: I was asked to make a review by the practice, but it was made clear that my treatment would be identical in any case.For context, I found an appointment with Dr. Gupta via ZocDoc due to an abnormal blood test result from a different context. Ive had two appointments thus far, resulting in a diagnosis of PCOS with related blood sugar concerns. I was also prescribed a medication.Pros:- Dr. Gupta took my concerns seriously, and took the time to patiently answer my myriad of questions.- The doctor tailored the treatment to my needs, and ensured I felt comfortable with the results. (I have a bad history with birth control, which is a common treatment for PCOS, so we avoided this after discussing pros and cons.)- The doctor gave me concrete recommendations regarding natural supplements and dietary changes to make. I know that the safety/efficacy of alternative treatments can sometimes be problematic, so working with a certified doctor who was familiar with the subject was greatly helpful.- Getting bloodwork done was easy (referred electronically to Quest Diagnostics).- Creating an appointment was easy (I prefer to schedule appointments online, as Im rather busy).- Not very important, but the office is very nice. :)Cons:- It can be hard to get in touch with the receptionist directly. However, Ive found that I am called back within a few hours when I leave a message.- The office tends to only have availability far in the future, but tends to have some last-minute cancellations. This means that getting a good appointment time sometimes requires checking repeatedly.All-in-all, I would strongly recommend Dr. Gupta.

I had a positive experience with Dr Gupta - shes a practiced endocrinologist with a more holistic approach to managing autoimmune inflammation. Dr. Gupta is a wonderful doctor. Aside from being uber knowledgable, she is an absolutely lovely person. She asks the right questions, listens, and remembers what you tell her. That sounds so simple, but Ive been hard pressed to find a doctor in NYC who does those things. She takes the time to answer all my questions, and always explains why shes prescribing a medicine or some course of action and not some other. What Ive experienced more than anything since seeing Dr. Gupta is CLARITY, a total godsend in a medical culture where one doctor tells you something, and the next doctor tells you the opposite. I finally feel like Im on top of my thyroid health, and that I have a doctor whos not going to all of a sudden start charging me for ridiculous tests or upselling me on therapies that dont work. Dr. Gupta is solid, and dedicated to the health of her patients.

I have been a patient at Yantra Endocrinology for a little over a year now and I can honestly say if you prefer an atmosphere where your doctor works with you and has an actual conversation with you about your health and your options over a doctor who says hi, take this, come back in 2 weeks, bye, then this place is for you. I am not a fan of taking meds if I dont have to, Dr. Gupta applies simple back to the basics medicine that allows you to heal your body from within with a more holistic approach. This is not to say medication is not will not be applied to the treatment process, but she gives you a full scope of your options and plans to follow so that you do not end up on a cocktail of medications.When you get your blood work she does go over everything with you and your options to improve your blood work especially where there maybe some abnormalities. As I mentioned previously she does give you both your natural options (ie - basic nutritional suggestions via types of foods known to help with a conditions or supplements that one can take to aid in a deficiency ) and your textbook medical options in which would require prescribed medications...if needed. If the latter is the case she does go over the pros and cons of every med that is recommended for the particular problem that requires the aid of pharmaceuticals so you are making an informed decision.Wait time is not long, appointments are scheduled in such a way that you will not feel rushed nor feel like you have been waiting forever to be seen.As I mentioned if you are looking to have a discussion about your health and the options available, rather than have a doctor that just writes scripts and doesnt even know your name, then this is the place for you.

I highly recommend Yanta Wellness. At 33 I was diagnosed with Hashimotos thyroid condition. I have spent the last two years trying to find someone who would and could really help me. I saw two PCPs, SIX yes SIX endocrinologists and paid a ton of money out of pocket for a naturopath. I was about to totally give up and then I found Dr. Gupta. She is extremely knowledgable in treating thyroid issues in ALL manners including normal medications, addressing T3 conversion, NDTs as well as supplements. SO SO many doctors I have seen would never help me to address underlining issues or what medications would/would not work well with me. Dr. Gupta has always taken her time, listened to me and explained everything. She never dismissed me or my concerns. Many professional doctors and unfortunately in my experience endocrinologists will only look at TSH or T4 in terms of thyroid but she will look at the whole COMPLETE picture which is necessary to get optimal. Although the office takes most major insurances I actually pay out of pocket because she is worth it!! She has given me a peace of mind that someone is on my side in this battle and I cant recommend her more. A++

It’s really hard to find an oasis in NYC, but Yantra Endocrinology+Wellness is it! Each time I have an appointment with Dr. Ashita Gupta, I look forward to it, because not only will I receive a high level of service from Dr. Gupta (knowledgeable, efficient but not rushed), but I’ll also get a chance to take the stress off till the end of the day (at least).

Dr. Gupta has always been open and honest with me. These qualities are what I look for in any physician that I interact with. She also is quite qualified in her job.

I cant believe the good reviews here?? She was dismissive and told me to try alternative medicine with no further advice. She also asked if I wanted an ultrasound then she never followed up with it again. She gave me a lot of attitude for no reason.
