Took the day off from work and went for a consultation because the endo who had been treating me for years had closed his practice. They did bloodwork and I was told to call back in few days to see if my meds had to be adjusted. When I called, I was told that they couldnt give me the info over the phone and I had to go back in for an office visit to get my blood work results. So they wanted me to take another day off work, pay another $250 for an office visit to get my thyroid levels when all of my doctors in the past have given me the info over the phone!? NOPE! They even ignored my PCPs multiple requests for the info and she ended up redoing the lab work, and yes my meds has to be adjusted btw Im a thyroid cancer survivor and those meds serve as my bodys thyroid. Oh and every year I get a call and mail from this doctor inviting me to pay an annual fee to be one of his VIP clients.

Dr. Merker is hands down one of the best Drs Ive ever had and has the best in Jane and Nickie. He has been a fantastic endocrinologist and is also the reason I am still here. In 2014, I began experiencing facial symptoms. After being told by two neurologists that there was either nothing wrong with me, in one instance, given anticonvulsants to take without having further tests run, I went to Dr. Merker. Dr. Merker agreed to run one last test that ended up diagnosing me with what we were to find a growing, un-ruptured aneurysm. Many doctors write a prescription and send you away; Dr. Merker is data-driven and looks at the entire picture to ensure the problem is pinpointed and resolved. I will be forever grateful to Dr. Merker and am happy to wait when there are delays to appointments. He gives his patients his full attention and digs deep to ensure they are on the right track.

Got my A1C from over 14 to 9 to 8, currently 7.4. Enough said.

I have been a patient of Dr. Merker for many years and I consider myself really lucky to have found such a wonderful and caring doctor, he and his staff are amazing kind and treat all his patients like family. Once I told my sister about him she became a patient and now travels all the way from the Bronx for her appointments, Now my sister myself and my wife are all patients of his and we could not be happier, It is not often you can find a doctor that takes the time to listen and make real decisions about our health without making you wait for hours in a crowded waiting room. Ive been a patient of Dr. Merker for over 15 years. Hes very thorough in his care, listens to the patient and works to find solutions. We have a good rapport and I trust him to guide me in my medical decisions. I highly recommend his Concierge practice as well.

Very responsive to my and my wifes calls and questions. Personally picks up the phone when we call and discusses our problems and/or thoughts.We joined his concierge group and am very satisfied with the service. If there are still openings for his group we recommend that you join.

I have been Dr Merker’s patient for many years. I just celebrated my 89 th birthday. He supervised my treatment for many decades of various illnesses. He always gave me the time and careful concern and his breathe of knowledge is startling. I think It unusual in today’s medical environment. I can think of no primary physician I could recommend more highly.

Dr. Merker is very professional, very thorough and an excellent listener. He is responsive and follows through on questions asked and issues raised. The office staff are welcoming and extremely helpful, both in person and on the phone. Importantly, while he uses the computer, he is focussed on the patient, not the screen.

As his daughter, I worked there for years while studying for my lmsw in social work, after graduating from ivy league. My father, a Harvard educated man has always placed others as a first priority. Safety is at the forefront. Sterile equipment, using clean gloves and fresh masks at a time when the world 🌎 is in a fragile place, as we try to stay united. I tend to think that those who care about their worth will not look for a false sense of security or emotional shelter from any doctor. His patients are from top hospitals Northwell Health and Mt. SINAI Hospital. As I currently serve vulnerable populations, whom include the LGBTQ population and those with life threatening illness, treating people with respect and dignity is paramount, which is why Dr. EDWARD Merker is worth the wait and your time.
