Dr. Kavaler is really incredible - very professional, kind, lovely bedside manner and her team are also very knowledgeable and kind too. I went with an issue that I believed to be bladder related but turned out not to be - Dr. Kavaler referred me to a specialist doctor who I am seeing tomorrow. I can assure anyone reading this, if you are looking for a capable, brilliant, compassionate, knowledgable, think out of the box no nonsense urologist you have found her! My 88 year old mom has had painful bladder stones, UTIs, and Dr Kavaler has treated her successfully for years in ways that her previous doctor never did (which I do not understand). Dr Kavaler’s office gave me a next day appt because of a kidney stone issue. Her office is modern, clean and safe which is critical in these Covid times. Her staff was pleasant and accommodating. Even helped me find parking nearby. Dr K did a sonogram right in her office so she could see what my problem was. I was thrilled to not have to go to a lab for the tests.Dr K listened and acted. I left her office feeling great and in the hands of a caring, capable, hands-on urologist.

Shes very knowledgeable but was a bit brusque and was very aggressive with trying to get me to take birth control. She did this the last time too. She seemed not to respect my decision not to take it, without asking about my reasoning behind the decision. Other than that the visit went well.

Nice clean office. Short wait. Spoke with Dr Kavaler for 10 minutes who listened closely to my symptoms, took the appropriate tests, and then was able to diagnose my issue and clearly explain it to me over the following 15 minutes. After being treated by several urologists, the experience with Dr. Kavaler was unusual. First, I noted a book in the waiting room that shed written - comprehensive and well organized about the organs involved. Next I had a scan. By the time Dr. Kavaler saw me, I trusted that she takes her work seriously. She explained my options clearly and though other patients were waiting, answered my questions. My only problem was she had a full waiting room (understandably and deservedly), so I made sure to schedule my next appointment when that wont be the case.

She is knowledgeableand candid in her opinions which I appreciate having had medical professionals that were not so .She restored my faith in the medical profession and I trust her implicitly. I visited this doctor as I was experiencing UTI symptoms and abdominal pain. After blood particles were detected in my urine and I tested negative for a UTI, she proceeded to order an ultrasound. The results came back clear and she proceeded to tell me that it was not bladder cancer as I was too young (although cases in young patients have been documented). She was also dismissive and not interested in figuring out why blood was detected. I am very surprised with the positive reviews as this doctor was very cold, dismissive and unfriendly. I will not be returning to her office.
