I have visited Dr Ostad for a number of years for treatment of skin cancers having been referred initially by another dermatologist with the highest recommendations. He has met and exceeded these high expectations. His dermatological knowledge, surgical skills and warm and friendly personality are all absolutely first rate. Despite the inability to get reimbursed by Medicare I still chose to remain under his care and grateful for it.

I have been a patient of Dr Ostads for many years and I value his skill and experience. He is an amazing doctor, very compassionate, caring and honest. His office is well run and the staff is professional and pleasant. He takes his time during visits and always gives you his full attention, something that is sadly lacking during most doctor visits these days. I had a fairly deep, elongated cheek scar as an outcome of complications resulting from a serious skin infection. I approached my visit with Dr. Ostad with a strong foundation of trust, since he had been recommended by highly respected sources. Dr. Ostad put me at ease quickly with his compassionate manner and was confident he could make things better. Dr. Ostad excised the scar tissue and beautifully stitched the wound with almost no noticeable scar remaining. I am very grateful. His surgical skill is remarkable and the result was nothing less than masterful. In addition, it seems clear to me that Dr. Ostad empathizes with the personal story underlying each patient visit and surrounds himself with equally compassionate and talented professional medical staff to assist him. Dr. Ostad is one of the best doctors I have ever had, he really improved my quality of life by helping me with my rosacea. Prior to meeting Dr. Ostad, I was on so many medicated creams and facial washes that really never helped the underlying issues of my condition. His laser treatments have decreased the burning, stinging, and redness from rosacea and I have not been this happy with my skin in years. He has amazing bed side manner and is so easy to follow along with when he is explaining something. All of his staff is also so professional and caring and I have never had any issues.

Dr. Ostad is an outstanding physician. Years ago, when I was seeing another dermatologist, I had a growth on my shoulder that changed colors. The former dr. told me it was nothing to be concerned with. Not satisfied, I went for a second opinion. I was referred to Dr. Ostad by my GP. After the biopsy, Dr. Ostad urged me to return as quickly as possible and the carcinoma was expertly extracted.Over the years, Dr. Ostad has performed several procedures, all superbly completed. I find him to be thorough and professional with excellent skills. Dr. Ostad and his staff have my highest recommendation.Unfortunately, Dr. Ostad recently chose to forego Medicare and all other insurance. This creates a difficult situation for older patients, such as myself, who had service-oriented careers and now rely on insurance to meet medical expenses.

Ostads practice is an example of excellence pushed to the upper limit. The office visit to schedule the MOHS procedure was very efficiently and politely handled. When I came for the procedure, I was taken immediately, Dr. Ostad came in as soon as the prep was done. He called the referring physician for a quick consult, did the procedure and stitched me up. All the while conducting a friendly and interested conversation. The incision required 10 stitches on 2 levels of tissue and was done so well that a week after the stitches were removed, there was no scar!

Dr. Ostad is a true professional! He is not only extremely knowledgeable in his field but has a wonderful bedside manner. He always ensures that you are comfortable during procedures he is performing on you and looks for your feedback. I have never had Pico laser treatment (or any laser treatment or treatment for that matter) on my badly-neglected pigmented skin and now I have had 4 sessions this year with much improvement to show for it. As usual, Dr. Ostad displayed outstanding professionalism and a verycaring demeanor. Unfortunately, I do not rate the support staff nearlyas high. I can understand the need for strong protocols during thepandemic. However, I was turned off by the way I was told that I could not remain in the reception area because I arrived well in advance of my scheduled appointment, particularly given the 91 degree heat outside. Further, one day following my visit, I went to my pharmacy to pick up the prescription that the doctors assistant supposedly ordered only to betold that there was no prescription for me at the pharmacy.

I’ve been wanting to get filler in my jaw/chin for years now, and I’m so happy I went with Dr. Ostad. The before and after speaks for itself, I saw results immediately. Dr. Ostad runs an efficient office where you rarely wait and in the new Covid era, the privacy and social distance are closely monitored. I did not see another patient in the office as his team effectively keeps patients apart. Having been a patient for over two decades, I would not trust anyone else with the supervision of my health. He remembers details of my physical history and can closely monitor the importance of evolving medical conditions unique to my situation. I also use his skin products that surpass anything else I have tried commercially.Highly recommended.

He has successfully treated me for numerous forms of skin cancer (melanoma, basal cell, and squamous cell) and in every instance, once the malignancy was removed, it never came back. On April 25, 2019, Dr. Ostad used Moh’s surgical technique for extraction of a basal cell carcinoma on my nose. After excision, he had to perform extensive reconstruction due to the tumor’s large size. During the whole procedure, Dr. Ostad kept me well informed about the various stages.
