DON’T DO IT.Don’t waste your time.Supporting Staff is nice considering the situation but waiting OVER 5 HOURS to see a dentist that does zero dental work is crazy.Doctor couldn’t look me in the eye. Left me reclined in the chair in the bib and disappeared. Doctor Didn’t consult me about any teeth except the one she said needs to be extracted. I would rate this as 0 if I could.1. The receptionist kept putting me on hold when I first tried making the appt, not letting me speak to inform her what I was calling about. When I showed up in person to confront her, there was already another woman there to complain about her as well. She began crying saying it was because her mother passed away but from the looks of it via past reviews, she’s been doing this for MONTHS.2. I finally get to my appointment, & I am waiting from 8:30-12:30, where I finally see the dentists assistant who does an absolute awful job, standing over me & poking my gums. When I told her to stop because it was painful she said it was her job and I should just let her. I kept asking her to leave, she finally did after some fuss. The actual dentist was really nice, she was South Asian I believe and I was really confused why she was there, she looked almost too good to be there. She was kind & professional, unlike the rest of her staff. I only came for referral forms, I would never get work done there after seeing all of these awful reviews.3. When at the front desk, someone else was complaining about getting their money back for a terrible root canal they gave them. They told me to never go back for any work, & I already told myself I wouldn’t, but how terrible of them to treat people like this.

This has to be the worst customer/patent service I have ever witness. Not only the long wait with no communication with the patent, also staff unmasked and at one point I seen staff disrespectful with other staff. There should be oversight at a location that treats there parents they way they do as also seen the front desk resecpinist mistreat an elderly lady asking question. EVERYONE should have equal rights and treated humanely regardless of insurance policy. WHO EVER is in charge of this disorganized, nasty, and unmanageable institution needs to employ those who are able to do the job. With surveys, opem communication, and oversight can things change. PLEASE REACH OUT BECAUSE SUCH QUAILY OF WORK WILL EVENTUALLY LEAD TO HURTING PATENTS AND LAWSUITS!!!

Very ghetto. There was a patient sitting in the waiting area listening to loud rap music and no one said a thing. The person that cleaned my teeth picked up an instrument from the floor and did not disinfect it. The doctor had no manners. Once she was done w my examination she just walked away without saying a word. I just sat there. Staff said ur done. WILL NOT RETURN OR RECOMMEND.

THIS IS THE WORST DENTIST. Please avoid this place if you can, I took 2 days off and still was unable to see the dentist. The first time I was scheduled for a cleaning for my daughter, got to the office and was told there was an emergency and the hygienist is not in, so only x-rays and by the way no one called. The appointment was rescheduled got there half hour early for the appointment and was waiting for over 2 hours, I left and did not get to see the dentist. This place sucks! THEY SHOULD NOT BE IN BUSINESS. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. I would sign a petition to have this place shut down. People shouldnt have to be subjected to this ONE hygienist and they scheduled more than 20 appointments in one day. TERRIBLE! TERRIBLE!

Visited the clinic on Saturday at 9 am, came for the first time for cleaning teeth. ... I was worried, the latest reviews were available .... there were 8 people in the lobby. after 15 minutes of waiting, I was invited to take pictures of my teeth. The girl spoke politely. what is she doing. 5 minutes of waiting and I went to the office of the hygienist Nora. She was very friendly, brushed my teeth well and told me how to take better care. Dr. Albina came and asked what worried me, examined the pictures and gave recommendations. I liked everything, thanks

AVOID AT ALL COSTS.In all of my 12 years living in New York, this is the most dysfunctional and unprofessional dental office Ive ever had the misfortune of visiting.In total, I was at this dentist office for 4 hours and did not even get to see a dentist for the exam.I had an appointment at 10AM and waited for an hour and a half at which point I followed up with the front desk to get an update on when I would be seen. They were not able to provide even an approximate time and instead instructed me to wander into the back area and ask a free technician for an update. The technicians were unpleasant, incredibly indifferent and unwilling to provide me with an update on the wait.After 2 hours of waiting, I was finally able to get x-rays done. I was then told I would have to wait another hour to get the cleaning. This office does not have wifi so you cannot work in the waiting room. After 1 additional hour of waiting, I went to the front desk again for an update and was told to follow up with a technician. The first technician I spoke to was unable / unwilling to provide an update. Eventually, after enough persistence, I was finally seen for a cleaning around 1PM.I will note the hygienist was very sweet and the only person in the office willing to acknowledge the absurdity of the situation.After the cleaning, I was told it would be another 1-2 hours before seeing the dentist for the exam. I had to leave and did not get the exam despite already paying the co-pay when I checked-in.Dont go here unless youre absolutely desperate and have endless time and patience.

Just went here for a dental visit. No hygienist working. I made an appointment for 12 PM. With hesitation started to do my X Rays even though no cleaning was available. The technician then begins to explain the Dentist is going to meal so I would be waiting an hour or more. I just walked out. Besides this being super unprofessional. The place is a DUMP!

I had few options to go with because of my Aetna Justworks plan. I will not go back to this office. I have never experienced anything like this office and I had had many major oral surgeries, braces, root canal, etc. This was worse than any of that. The x-ray process alone was awful and left me in tears. All of the reviews on here are absolutely true. They are not exaggerations. Save yourself.P.S. there were very little COVID precautions

Bad costumer service and dentist!! I called the first time very polite and the front desk lady that answered was so rude and impatient and put me on hold and hung up 10 seconds later. I called again to ask when was my appointment for and she got mad and said “omg ma’am jesus” with an attitude and put me on hold again for the longest time. 0/10 do not recommend. The front desk ladies are so rude and unprofessional!! They should quit if they don’t like their job. I’m not even sure how they got hired.

Receptionist quit and walked out while we were waiting for an appointment.Dirty floors, carpets and extremely rude front of house staff. Today I come in at 730AM .. at 10 30 I was told to sit in the room to FINALLY see the dentist .. 30 mins went by and NOTHING ... 11Am still NOTHING. I then went to the receptionist and he stated “well everyone gotta wait today” then said I had to call to switch my appointment. No APOLOGY no EXPLANATION and no SOLUTION. Im sitting here now. Its the worse service ever. Every visit the patients are arguing with the staff and the office manager. Just a few minutes ago the dentist claims she was attacked by the patient and then the dentist confronted the office manager and they literally had a argument for all to here. Very unprofessional business. My purpose for this visit is to fix a tooth in denture that fell out its been 2 weeks. They said they could do it today. But now my dentist tried to tell me it cant be ready until Monday. Again so unprofessional.

Bad customer service, the lady don’t even said her name, don’t let you even speak all she said is “Metropolitan Dental please hold” and put you on hold without even letting you said a word. PLEASE READ BEFORE GOING THEREI rarely write reviews, but if this will save the next person from not going there then it is worth writing about my experience with this place in two main sections.Section 1: The Agony of Booking and the Incompetent OperatorFor a start, I had to book my appointment over the phone. It took the incompetent operator a WEEK to book the appointment. First shed put me on hold for up to 20 minutes, then hang up the phone. Call again, and same thing. It took an entire day for her to give me the right email address to send the dental eligibilitySection 2: The Appointment DayVery friendly staff in front desk, but trap is behind the first steps of filling the forms. My appointment was at 10 am, and I was called at around 11 am, which is relatively short as compared to what I read from previous patients. I was there just for cleaning, but NOPE, they have to take X-rays. Two technicians started taking x-rays, it was very long and unnecessary exposure to radiation. One of them is a beginner who has very little experience in placing the film in the right angle, her boss on the other hand wanted as much x-rays as possible.After 10-15 x-rays, I objected, and simply asked is this necessary? I am here just for cleaning and I have not been seen by a dentist and that it is already too much radiation exposure. Her response was: You are not a doctor and this is very little radiation, as much as that emitted from you computer. After this I refused to get any further X-rays. The dentist refused to even see me without X-rays and I left.PS: I am a doctor with training in radiology, and this is not the same as radiation emitted from computer. Also in medicine we see the patient and assess them clinically before doing images. One-star is over dignifying and Google need to make an option for zero-star!

225 Broadway location has horrible service, ghetto and unprofessional staff. There is a lack of communication among departments. Wait times are ridiculously long. Appointments appear to be scheduled but when you arrive there your appointment is not in the system but they send you a notification to your phone reminding you of your appointment. I have been serviced there a long time but effective today I will never return. They dont deserve the one star I gave them. Do yourself a favor, find a good dentist certainly not Metropolitan.

I had an appointment for 8:30am on 2/16/21. It took the front receptionist, Natalia one hour to tell me that I did not have an appointment. She told me that it’s for tomorrow. I rescheduled the previous Friday for the 16th and not the next day because I am working. I know when I make appointments because I can’t make them on the days I’m working. My appointments at the Manhattan office take anywhere from 3-4 hours, for that reason I make sure my appointments are on my days off even thought I work 2 blocks away.I want to say some positive things as well. Front receptionist, Natasha, who came on after I arrived was nice and quick about getting me seen. The dental hygienist, Ash was pretty good and explained what I needed to do following my deep cleaning. The X-Ray technician was good as well. I especially liked the thoroughness and professionalism of Dr. Khan. I hope the practice can keep her.

Stay away if possible. They charged me over $1000 twice for a procedure they never performed. It took 9 month to get the money back. Manager, Mario, Is never available and is in a “meeting” 24/7. Even if you make an appointment. You will never get your money back, even if you’ve been wrongfully billed. All this place cares about is how much they can bill the insurance company. They stack patients back to back and preform unnecessary procedures to pad the bottom line.

Those of you that gave this place a positive review are either staff family members who were jumped in front of the line while those that came on time waited hours and hours or the dental employees. This was by far the worst experience I have had at a dentists office. I waited 3 hours in a filthy waiting room with the staff behaving very unprofessionally. The staff were running around making jokes and being overly friendly with each other in front of clients in the waiting area. They were yelling out the patients first and last names with no concern for the patients privacy. At one point, one staff member told another that they did the wrong procedure on the wrong patient in front of everyone. The hygienist was so rough and spilled water all over my neck and shirt. The doctor came in and did not close the door and wanted to discuss my private health information in front of everyone. The nursing staff kept coming in and telling the doctor information about other patients without any regard for who was there. This was just shameful. Dont go here.

These are the rudest, most unprofessional people out there. This Russian or Ukrainian dental assistant went off on my elderly father because he asked a question regarding his plan of treatment that could affect his health( he has a blood disorder). She then proceeded to walk out and told us she can be bothered with questions like the one my father asked. Additionally we asked for a copy of his records to see another dentist elsewhere. Went in, filled the forms and we haven’t heard back. When we tried to call, they would pick up the call and hang. Please avoid. And if you’re an employee working at metropolitan dental associates that’s reading this, let your incompetent bosses know they’ll be hearing from our attorney!

Me & my husband recently had x-rays, check up & cleaning at this dental clinic. This not the “Wall Street Dental Spa” that we used to visit, so my first impression was that the place was not modern, with old equipment, a lot of paper work to fill-in & waiting to be seen more than expected; but once me & my husband were attended everything went smooth from the nice guy taken de X-Ray to “Tola” doing the cleaning for me. My husband got another hygienist “Asian Girl” and he was happy with the treatment as well. So in my opinion is good value for the money that we are paying, just need a little bit of patience & new dentist chairs. :)

Im relieved that the receptionist Maggie was as rude as she was when I called to schedule my initial appointment both times as it left a lasting impression and prompted me to do more research and ultimately has left me not wanting to be a patient at all. She has a nasty disposition, speaks rudely to patients and slams the receiver of the phone down in peoples ears without a word once she is finished. Whoever is in charge needs to have a talk with her about her attitude and/or possibly enroll her in a customer service or etiquette class or just maybe if she is that unhappy with her job, she should seek other employment...that attitude is better suited for fast food drive thru not a dentist office!!!

Omg do not go here !!!!!! They are so unprofessional I have been waiting over one year to get my bands and wires changed for my braces you call they put you on hold and transfer you to one person after the next they always cancel your appointment and some way some how there dentist for pediatric braces is NEVER in and I mean NEVER these people will give you a disease. And boy do they know how to hang up the phone on you thats the one good thing they can do with their job hang up the phone and be rude to clients. First of all when you go there you will have to wait at least 90 minutes before they call your name..the doctor who fixed my crown couldn’t make it the right way and it came off in the same night and i had to take another appointment and i went there the doctor inserted the crown and it came off again after 10 days only so this people don’t know what they are doing or they want you to keep coming so they take money from your insurancebad doctors bad receptionists

I normally dont do reviews. But my son has had braces now for 3 years. These people needed for me to pay for his retainers as soon as treatment started. I paid them off before the first year of treatment. The turn around at this place is crazy. My son had an appointment back in August. They cancelled with. No explanation. It is now December I still cant get through no one has bothered to call me either. They have cancelled on me plenty before covid hit. My son goes to school update and was making special trips to see the dentist and they would cancel last minute. And I explained to then time after time he is away to Please place a note on the account. So here we are December and no world. But yet they still have my nearly 800 dollars that I paid for retainers my son will never see. Please avoid them. They are horrible.

I wish negative stars were an option..........Horrible service! I set an appointment for 10am. Nearly an hour and a half later I asked the front desk staff what was going on. (They were going to look into it) I asked for my records to be destroyed because I was leaving. My name gets called and I am told by the next person that there are 3 people ahead of me and I would be sitting in a tiny room for another half an hour. Unacceptable! With Covid-19 running rampant you would think that a professional business would have their appointment book in order. Ill never go back! Ill take my business elsewhere!

I do not recommend this place at. I had a fill in done her in less than 24 hours later it falls out !! I can the place back and tell me I wasn’t supposed to eat for 2 hours after. I didn’t eat for the rest of the day there is no way the fillin fell out because I ate too early. They redo the fillin and it fell out AGAIN. I was told I can get a refund because the service was never done. I have been calling every single day for a MONTH!!! Today I called the head office and I was hung up on and placed on hold and forgotten about TWICE. The workers here are incompetent and disrespectful! ONE STAR. RUNNNN.

HORRIFIC. HORRIBLE. DO NOT COME HERE AT ALL. NegligenceHorrible place and the doctor that reviewed my xrays missed a tooth that needed to be extracted. I specifically asked him about that tooth and he said no it just needs a root canal. He then placed another tooth all the way in the back of my mouth for the root canal. The place is unorganized chaos. The oral surgeon HERE attempted to sedate me and FAILED. She woke me up, did not explain to me herself what happened, was not even there in the room when I woke up, refused to talk to me and sent me home. Safety protocols requires 3 ppl in the room during sedation and there was only 2. And no leads were placed on my chest to monitor me. DO NOT CUT CORNERS WITH A PERSONS LIFE FOR PROFIT. I had to find a new oral surgeon that successfully sedated me on 2 separate occasions for wisdom teeth extractions. Now that I did the extractions I found out today that the doctor at metropolitan that reviewed my x-rays was negligent and did not put down a tooth that needed to be extracted. I had my last extractions last week thursday and now I need to schedule another appointment due to the negligence of this place. I WILL NEVER GO BACK AFTER TODAY. I WILL BE REPORTING THEM TO THE STATE AND EVERY GOVERNMENT AGENCY THAT OVERSEE THEM.

Two out of three front desk staff were non-mask compliant and one even went so far as to further remove her mask to speak with me. Staff was rude, there was an outrageous wait time. Ultimately I left before being seen because of the earlier issues, I had no confidence that the doctors would be more professional than the rest of the staff.

After I was on 3 hours waiting.Didnt try to find out what was the problem.. The sensation was.. Like . I dont care.. The nurse took me to the surgeon side, Where the surgeons staff told me to come back by next week.. Beside.. Everyone knew I was on pain.. This is why I was there.. I ask for prescription .. The nurse told me the system was down.. And They do not have papel to write down one ... I am thinking. I lose around 5 hours. I paid for a service, that did not resolve my situation.. Plus.. Got out of there on pain.. Without a medication or prescription... You are making money without helping people.

This has been a detrimental experience with the front office and the most disrespectful office manager in history by the name of Mario. How does the owner Dr. Cohen leave everything up to him to mistreat patients and whoever is in need of factual answers which the front desk is in capable of handling. I have been calling for the past whole entire week, left messages for Mario the manager to get back to me and yet every time he’s unavailable and his front desk staff same girl is rude and unkind hung up the phone on me multiple times stating she can only keep on taking messages for him if he’s irresponsible in not getting back to patients. Dr. Cohen I expect you to take control and discipline Mario and your front workers for hanging up the phone on patients for u resolvable issues. Mario isn’t taking his job seriously. I wished I never listened to my dentist by being my daughter to this office. They cancel my daughters appointment upon your arrival. I feel that’s the worst services ever. When you call the office to speak with a manager who’s suppose be Mario he never calls back he’s always in a so call meeting is what I’m always told. Then you have one of the lady’s by the name of Deidra which is the name that was given, to come on the phone and say to me the client who’s paying for the services “OMG HEREE WE GO”Very rude and unprofessional. My son has braces on his teeth for almost 7 years now. They keep canceling appointments. They hung up the phone on me several times when I tried calling them. They treated me very disrespectful.. They kept hanging up the phone on me. Someone pretended he was a supervisor but he spoke like he had a 2nd grade education so I knew he was not. They would never treat white people like this. After several hang-up calls. I finally got an appt which they cancelled the day befor.in January. Now after 2 or 3 more cancellations he was rescheduled for June. These people will put a disease in your mouth. I wouldnt trust them to do anything concerning something so personal. There are 1000s of practices out there. Do not trust these people. Cancel your appts and move on.

My heart goes out to anyone who has had to come to this practice in need of help only to suffer more. My best suggestion is to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. Dr. Etufugh told me I must be sedated for an extraction (if you look at the other reviews here you’ll see others were suggested to do the same). While this is covered by insurance, they made me pay out of pocket and has since refused to reimburse me. It’s been NINE MONTHS. I’ve called every other week, emailed Mario 4 times now. They’re not going to help you. File an official complaint at the BBB and switch dentists. Anyone trying to scam their patients during this pandemic is just dead inside, don’t expect human responses.

This place is absolutely horrible and should be shut down immediately. I called to make an appointment at the beginning of the week with Mario , no last name provided, he never registered me for my upcoming appointment and when arrived they had no record of my scheduled appointment. I arrived at 10:30am and was not seen until 1:30 by someone who took xrays and despite me informing her of my chief complaint she did not take the correct X-ray so i had to take a second round of X-ray. When i was finally seen by the dentist 45 minutes later he came in the room for 2 minutes and said I’m sending you to oral surgery to have your wisdom teeth removed they all need to be extracted. He also said you have four cavities and you need your teeth cleaned. He walked out and never returned. He never took the time to discuss the next steps and if the procedure would be done the same day. The nurse who came to do the cleaning provided me with more information then the actual dentist and much to my frustration she still did not have all the answers. I was sent to oral surgery the same day only to have waited an addition hour and thirty minutes to be told you have to come back tomorrow to have your teeth extracted. I was completely upset because i had been there all day to receive little information and no real service and my chief complaint was not addressed.To add insult to injury i return the very next day for the extraction procedure and was told i would have all four of my wisdom teeth extracted which is what i thought was done as no one told me anything different. However it was much to my surprise when i looked in my mouth the same day i realized they didn’t extract all four teeth . They only extracted two and left two teeth chipped and jagged. The anger comes in with the lack of communication l. The oral surgeon never informed me she was not able to extract my teeth completely and never provided me with a follow up appointment to complete the procedure. In my opinion the dentist and oral surgeon were very unprofessional and only cared about the money they would make by seeing patients and not about the quality of work and service provided. I’m hoping someone really look at these reviews and shut this practice down completely.

Nicole at the mainreception area was very rude .She told me that I did not have to return to that office after I told her I didnt like the way she spoke to me while setting up my appointment.. I also had an unpleasant experience in the peridontal area. The receptionist was also rude. Some of the people need training to deal with the patients.The hygienist, Asha was pleasant and caring.

Im giving them a 1 out of courtesy, but the receptionist have nasty attitudes. Some of the staff are unprofessional. I would recommend the dentist, but some of the other employees, mainly surgical front desk ,and main receptionist are rude. I will not recommend this place.

The staff at this establishment is not only slow but rather unprofessional. We are in the middle of a pandemic yet this facility is very packed, there are no hand sanitizer in sight, you are there 4 or more hours after your appointment still waiting. Doctors/nurses are leaving for smoke breaks or just walking around and receptionist is leaving the front desk unattended for more than 20 minutes at a time.This is a health risk. You should only schedule base on your staff and consider the time needed for each procedure. Do not pack your appointment list for the mere purpose of making money.

DO NOT GO HERE! I had my metal filings removed and replaced here in August and one popped off of my tooth last week. I went in today for it to be replaced and after waiting two hours I was told that they can not fix it and I would have to wait until Dec. 28. A month and a half away! I am missing a large portion of my tooth because of their shoddy workmanship. When I expressed that I was upset about this and asked if there was anything else that could be done Natalia told me to find a new dentist and walked out of the room with my file and did not even give me a chance to make the appointment anyway.

I have been coming to this location Metropolitan Dental Associate for many years. I have dealt with many people before. Yes, there may be a time where I had to wait. But I must say the young lady in the front reception desk, (Nicole) is very friendly, professional, and always helpful with any question or problem I may have. It is a pleasure to have someone, who is so pleasant. She is always attentive and always shows concern for the patient and is capable of making you feel at ease, while even walking me to the other offices across the hall, while explaining the process. Thank you & Kudos to Nicole, for making the visit a great one. It is people like Nicole who raise the standard of the office or business where they work. Her smile always come a long way.

There is too much cross-contamination going on in this place I’ve personally seen a staff member put their hand in a patient’s mouth then touch the keyboard to the computer then touch the x-ray machine and then back into the patients mouth. Then continue on to the next patient touching the x-ray machine touching the keyboard to the computer back into the patient’s mouth again without sanitizing anything. The staff seems to be pretty young and inexperienced. Also they are booking too many people and the wait is long. This should not be happening during a pandemic space out the appointments take on less patients each day, clean and sanitize properly . Having patients sign a coronavirus waiver is not the answer. Your staff must sanitize properly and keep patients safe not just throw their hands up in the air and think it’s business as usual these are bad times straighten up and , get in the game.

I have been getting dental services from Metropolitan Dental for many years now. I started at the Brooklyn location and recently switched to the Manhattan office. I can not say that I have been 100% satisfied with the service at the Manhattan office. But the reason for my review is to give kudos and praises to the front receptionist Valeria. This woman is super awesome. Her professional and attentive care to the patients is outstanding. I have witnessed her multitask with signing patients in and calming them down. The patients were upset either about the long wait or wrong appointments which have been the cause of the assistants not inputting the information into the system. Valeria is super awesome and I truly believes she deserves to be recognized. The star rating is for Valeria.

But, since I was in pain, feeling like having no choice, I went to the clinic. And despite expectations I have been met with kindness, emphaty and professionalism. 0 stars for starters. I dont even know where to begin. I went to this dentist as I was referred by my primary dentist, being that they were closed due to COVID-19. I went to the office for an extraction initially and then was told I can have my implant done there as well. Now Im thinking to myself, this will work given my primary dentist is closed. The front desk staff was helpful and even allowed me to charge my phone.This is where is discuss their money hungry oral surgeon Dr. Ngozi Etufugh. At first I was impressed because Im like hey she knows her stuff and seems like she knows what she is doing. In mid April I had my tooth removed from her. I was told after the procedure that I would need to get an implant. I didnt fret because I know my insurance covers it. She broke it down to me when I am expected to arrive for each followup. On 6/10/20 I had the implant installed. She had the bone graph done the same day I had the extraction. I returned on 6/25/20 for a 2 week checkup to ensure that my mouth was healing well, which it was. I had another appointment on 7/24/20 and this is where I began to look at her suspect. On that day I was under the impression I would be getting x-rays done. NOPE. I was given a referral to have my x-ray done at another place. I remember asking like why cant I do it here, and come to think of it my question was brushed off. Prior to me leaving the office, I was told to come back on 9/25/20 and I have to pay out of pocket $1,500 for my crown. Not to mention that referral for an x-ray was a $289 fee out of pocket as well. So I am thinking to myself why am I paying for an x-ray when insurance covers that. Lets fast forward to today, in which I called my insurance and they told me I am covered up to 1,000 for a crown, meaning that THE most I should be paying is $500. She is getting a cut from somewhere obviously because these hiked up prices dont make any sense. I will not be returning for my visit this month and I will be reporting this to my insurance. I am happy that I had a wake up moment before I shared out all that money. SAVE YOURSELF AND MONEY.Helpful tip: Get the procedure code for the work they do. contact your insurance they will tell you how much is covered for that procedure. That will let you know right there, if youre being taken advantage of.

Very nasty way for a dentist and assistant dentist to treat patients. I sat down for three hours only to realize the two Latino dentist and assistant dentist were not calling patients in the order they arrived. The two were calling Latino patients only when a lot of the patients had just walked in the room. I ask how are they calling the patients , they said in order. Only to see with my own eyes they were discriminating against the other people in the room and playing favorites with their own race. Opening the file and going threw the names of the people they wanted to pick. Very disappointed and disgusted with the two people working yesterday. Just finish writing a letter to the Dental Association. I will report this.

When I went to go ask one last time she said “oh, the file is right here”. Ridiculous. This entire time being on them about it and she went to go drop it off in the back. The recent reviews say it all but there is one thing that should be absolutely known. They extracted the wrong tooth from my son. In all honesty, I know the Doctor felt terrible because she went with what was presented to her. Although the referral my son handed in at the front had the right tooth, by the way they refused to give him the original referral. Anyway, after all was said and done, I spoke to the office manager who, instead of trying his damnedest to rectify the situation, he gave my son an ultimatum. Rectify it with us on us or do whatever you want. In other words, we HAVE to let them fix it. So the question stands, How do we let the people who made the error fix it? It wasnt a small error. Anyway, I called to get the contact information of Dr. Paul Cohen and the office Manager Mario made sure that the operators try to give me his email. THEN, The Dr. doesnt have an email. Then, the Dr. is not available. The office manager Mario made matters worst with his Mightier than thou attitude. This place needs to go out of business with their antiquated equipment and their extremely high employee turn-around %. This would explain why the call center is the worst to deal with. Its obvious they dont want to be there. DO NOT EVEN LOOK IN THE DIRECTION OF THIS PLACE. I WOULD RATHER GO TO NYU SCHOOL OF DENTISTRY AND LET A STUDENT WORK ON ME OR MY FAMILY. One star is too much for this place. They lost 2 patients by their action and I will make sure that they cover my sons work.

This is the first time I had a painless tooth procedure done, ever in my whole life. I am 57 and was wide awake. I am very happy with my root canal and replacement. I put this off for weeks because of past experiences with painful dental procedures. I will go back and get everything done!

Most of the reviews describing the customer service and packed rooms were correct. I did not even stay to be seen. Any dental or medical office is first represented by the front end staff as well as the aesthetics of the office. If either is off, thats your first clue. The receptionist was not friendly and seemed like she was annoyed to be there. While the office is nice It felt like being in a government program office. You had people talking loudly on their phones, inappropriate conversations all around. When you walk in , different procedures are sectioned off into their own office (oral surgery, general, orthodontic, etc.) All of them were packed. It was very uncomfortable to be there. I left midway through completing my paperwork. Only good thing is that their office is open on Saturdays.

There a lot left to be desired. If could give half a star I would. The bathroom was dirty. The Dental Surgeon had a poor bedside manner.The waiting is horrific! I had a 12:30pm appointment for Oral Surgery. They called me back to be seen at 5:40pm, only to wait some more! I was so frustrated I that rescheduled. I asked for the first appointment so I could be seen right away. My next appointment, was for 8am. I arrived at 10mins to 8am and there were three people ahead of me. They seem to be unorganized and severely overlooked.The front desk clerk actually asked me where my file was. Uuuhmmm I dont work there. I also witnessed another front desk staff argue with a client, very rude and unprofessional. I also noted there were no Hand Saniterizer available, and no Pre-screening for COVID 19. Lastly some of the chairs offered were over worn and looked like they came from a dump. Needless to say I will not return if I ever need Dental Surgery again. How ever it was when I was sent to the back where the issue started!First of all I can understand the pressure of being understaffed due to the pandemic, everything just went up into air.First off all the doctor asked me how I was doing and very basic questions, I explained “or tired” to explain the full issue but was immediately cut off as the doctor told the nurse to prepare the tools needed.I then was Stabbed.. literally with 3 shots with out a slowdown in between, with so much chemical things going on just to numb my mouth and gums I literally felt like I couldn’t swallow..and panicked.. NEVER had a experience like that with any other dentist.The doctor and nurse decided for the seurm to take effect and kept asking if “my mouth feels heaven” I replay with a no and before I can ask what to expect or how long it usually takes.. they just walk away.. after another 20min once again asked, responded with the same answer and waited another 20min.When they came back I told them that whatever you guys are expecting it’s not happening.. either it was Not enough or done incorrectly. Then they decided to just sedate me and pull out my tooth.Once sedated the process was completed.. however I definitely felt pain towards the end.Honestly the worst. I didn’t even receive detail information on what was the cause ofThe issue, the cause of my major headache and jaw pain..or to see if their was any other issues that could have or potentially lead to a problem later on. and how to really take care of the area after the surgery.Look elsewhere and forget about this dump. Seriously shut this place down.

If you are reading this review or any one of the the other hundred reviews regarding this place then you need to not waste your time, money, or health. This place is horrible. They dont follow any rules of social distancing during this Pandemic mainly because they overbook and there is not enough space or seats for the amount of people. They dont believe in appointment times. I had a 9am appointment and wasnt called in for an xray until 11:30am. While I was waiting and observing the interaction with the front desk staff and the patients it was downright horrifying. There was no professionalism among the group of women at the desk. Once i was called back into the xray room the equipped is old, dirty, and the room was filthy. This place really needs to be condemned and even if its the last dental office standing in NY there is no way I would ever go back there. Unless you are desperate and have absolutely no other options avoid this place at all cost.

I though this place would have changed a bit in the age of Covid and the re-opening of NYC; not at all. I could not believe the amount of people seated/waiting in the reception area. They clearly booked more patients than they could handle. People are sitting here (many on broken chairs) side by side. Not one staff member has come to sanitize the area or offer something as basic as hand sanitizer. The wait for my appointment for a regular checkup is already almost two hours past it’s scheduled time and I can still see at least 10 people who arrived before me waiting. The facilities overall appear very unkempt and in some areas outright dirty. No one from the staff has been rude to me, but don’t expect anything but the bare minimum of customer service. Visiting here is similar to a used car dealership. Expect to get some very eager sales pitches for additional (and often costly) services. The only positive thing this place offers is its location (assuming you live/work in the area). Other than that do yourself a favor and avoid this place like the plague (you may actually catch it waiting around here).

I never write reviews but I dont want someone to waste their time like I did. This office is terrible. I waited 2 hour and 40 min to get seen and once I was seen I was told I wouldnt be able to get a teeth cleaning, which was the only reason for my appointment. Three other people stormed out while I was waiting, I wish I had left then. Reading other reviews, this isnt an isolated incident - it seems like they consistently over-book and then are surprised that people get frustrated? I dont really get it. The dentist just said sorry but obviously didnt care, no accountability

A truly hellish experience.. extremely unprofessional and disorganized, you never realized it could be this bad.appointment times dont matter, expect to wait at least 2 hours, expect that after waiting you might be told you will have to reschedule, expect that the doctor will spend 2 minutes with you and mention the tooth is unsavable and a new one is $3k.. expect Natalia, the head assistant will enter dressed in scrubs, look at the x-rays and confidently double-down, telling you theres nothing to discuss, its hopeless, quote you $3500, and when you ask questions, tell you she has other patients and pretend you cant have your x-rays, become rude and exasperated out of nowhere and storm out. dont expect to get a cleaning even though thats what youve scheduled and come in for twice now..expect that when you go to a normal dentist for a second opinion, they will look at you puzzled and say the teeth are totally salvageable and who told you that? and they must have mortgages to pay.

What an absolute joke of a practice. You’ll wait forever (doesn’t matter if your appointment is first thing in the morning or not, you’re waiting way beyond your appointment time), the receptionist will yell at you when you ask how long it will be, and then when you get back there they purposefully choose expensive procedures that aren’t correct to what needs to be done. Always ask what code they’re using and check with your insurance.I had the added bonus of waiting over 2 hours for my appointment, getting some unnecessary scaling done which was beyond painful while the hygienist talk to me incessantly. On top of that they said I needed a canal so I walked across the hallway, set up that appointment, showed up at 8:40 am, wasn’t seen til 9:40 am and told I need an extraction instead of a root canal and crown. Oh, also, they won’t be refunding my $75 because the Dr touched my tooth once with a machine.I’m in full rage mode right now. Wasted my time and money twice now. Avoid at all costs.

I would like to start off by saying this ‘facility ‘should not be open to the public. Their staff turnover is in fact incredibly high as referenced by another, this is for A REASON. The management is nothing but a joke. There is no communication between the employees and things are often mixed up when they shouldn’t be. They have attempted to overcharge me numerous times. I have never waited for less than an hour here and even managed to be left unattended for 3+ hours. You’re completely dismissed upon entrance, be prepared to demand things. I truly believe the people working here have never heard of professionalism. Additionally, I have heard offensive remarks made by staff involving no discretion. They extracted my teeth in June 2020, did not submit my paperwork to my insurance company for two months then when finally I kept calling got approval now they telling me to wait 3 kore weeks to be seen to get dentures. This place is awful. I went in to get a broken tooth fixed. They left me in the waiting room for almost ah hour and when I said I needed to get back to my office by 4 pm I was told that was not going to be possible. A 2:30 pm appointment shouldn’t take 2 hours.Avoid. You’re better off pulling your own teeth out.
