I’ve been seeing Dr Jo for years after having many terrible experiences with other dentists. Her staff are so kind. Her office is very clean and spotless. I can’t ever remember having to wait after checking in. I get seated in the room immediately. The chairs are so comfortable as they also provide massages during your visit. I make sure to never miss a dental cleaning with Dr Jo. I would highly recommend.

I’ve been going to Dr. Jo since 2015 and she’s hands down the best dentist I’ve ever seen. I feel much more educated on oral hygiene and haven’t had a problem since I started going to her!! I rarely write Yelp reviews, but Astor Smile has proven to be worth my time and energy. I take my dental care very, very seriously. One of my greatest fears is losing my teeth. After moving to NY, I spent a lot of time researching to find a quality dentist I could trust my teeth with. I was skeptical. After discovering Astor Smile, and going to them for over a year, I can honestly say I am VERY VERY HAPPY. Dr. Jo is extremely caring and professional. Even after months gone by without seeing me, she ALWAYS remembers who I am and even the smallest details, like whether I floss or how my new job is going. She is the first dentist that has ever cleaned my teeth personally, herself. She spends a lot of real time and attention during each visit, unlike dentists Ive had before, who just pop in and out after the dental hygienist has finished most of the work. On top of it all, Dr. Jo is clearly very smart and an expert in modern dental medicine. I have never had a dentist use such modern technology to provide the best care and comfort to her patients. Dr. Rammal, Dr Jo and the team at Astor smile is fantastic! Ive gone in for consults, cleaning, and procedure and have only had great experiences. I recently went in for a bonding procedure using the biocelar matrix done by Dr. Rammal and am so happy with the results! The procedure was quick and painless, and he completely fixed gaps between my two front teeth and on the lateral incisors, and made them look so natural. Im SO thrilled with the results and highly recommend!!

Astor Smile -- especially Dr. Jo and her staff -- delivers hands down the most incredible Dentist experience Ive ever had. The office well decorated with modern, artful features, and there is always instrumental jazz playing softly. The dental chair is an electric massage chair, so youre super relaxed, and Dr. Jo is incredibly friendly and informative. She does an extremely thorough job and pulls up educational photos on the screen to help you understand whats going on with your teeth. She is also super up to date with the latest news regarding what foods and drinks are good and bad for you. She also remembers little details about you and asks about them when you walk in. Its a delightful experience going there, and I always look forward to it. I actually get quite excited about going, which is saying something, since were talking about a routine teeth cleaning. I just love these guys. If could give them 6 stars, I would. I tell everyone I know to go here.

I truly love going to Dr Jo - Ive never said that about a dentist (or any physician). Dr Jo runs on time, works efficiently, and explains everything very clearly (great visuals and easy to understand language). She is encouraging but doesnt make me feel guilty (never shames me for neglecting to floss). And her office is so comfortable! The chairs are massage chairs (genius!).Ive been going to Dr Jo for years and continue to do so even though Ive moved.

I have been going to Dr. Jo since 2014. She is filled with helpful information to keep your teeth healthy. When I first started seeing her, I had so many problems with cavities. Since seeing her, I have not had any cavities or dental issues. She makes you feel comfortable, and step by step, she lets you know what she is going to do. Everyone is so friendly and go above and beyond. They have the latest technology xrays are a breeze. I look forward to seeing her for my dental visits 2x a year. Before her, I dreaded seeing the dentist. The fear of seeing the dentist or having pain is not the case with her. If you are looking for a caring professional dentist, search no more, Dr. Jo, is it! Also, Dr. Rahmel is in the office two days out of the week; he has fixed my chipped and gapped front teeth so I can have a perfect smile. He did a fantastic job. Best dental cleaning/visit Ive received to date in NYC -- she personally handles the cleanings from start to finish to get the most comprehensive understanding of each patients dental health. Despite having sensitive teeth, I never felt any pain or soreness, and still came out of the visit with the cleanest teeth! She is thorough and meticulous in her work, and also emphasizes patient education -- something that is often missed in healthcare. In my case, Dr. Jo took the time to explain different procedures/problems to me (sometimes pulling up Youtube videos for better visuals), and ended the visit with dental health maintenance tips and a goody bag. Pricing for general dental check-ups & cleanings are affordable for both insurance and OOP.More specific to COVID-19: masks and social-distancing while in waiting areas, shoe-covers upon entering the office, hand-washing and temperature-taking protocols, one-time use coverings for dental chairs, etc.And lastly specific to patient happiness: Astor Smiles dental chairs are also massage chairs (10/10 recommend!!)
