Hey, Harlem Community. I’d just like to share a few things and my experience with Best Dental. I’ve been going here for some years now and I must say not every experience was great. However, during 1 visit prior to COVID-19 I had to get some touch love from a dentist who was only looking out for my best interest and had my well being in mind. At first I couldn’t see the tough love I received from the dentist here. At one point during my visit all I was seeing and hearing was myself and my flesh. Corrective Criticism wasn’t something I wanted to hear. All I wanted was to come here, get my teeth cleaned and deep cleaned accordingly and go about my business. That wasn’t the case. Because of my disobedience I could’ve lost my so called healthy teeth at a young age and then been upset with the world when All I had to do was take the advice of the one person who cared enough about me to tell me the truth. I ended up having to pay over $4k for periodontal work which could’ve be avoided had I listened to the dentist here at Best Dental. The quality of service here by all of the technicians is Outstanding. The customer service is also outstanding here. The most time I had to wait to be seen was approximately 30min of that. However, each and every time I’ve been here the results where the same. In and Out. The staff is super professional and friendly and they too have shown great concern about the people the see. I say all that to say this. Sometimes, we may not like what we here and want to go get a second opinion which is OK. However, why go somewhere else and pay SO much $ for the same service. Most of the work they do is covered by insurance but less be honest for a moment. Some of us want free service and do t want to pay for anything. Some dental work require out of pocket costs and that’s Real talk. However, u will be paying so much more on the outside and elsewhere. So do me a favor and let’s all come together and support the community by visiting Best Dental and when we need to be referred they are there to refer if possible and If Not, they will point u in the right direction. I can write a whole book which I started to but will end with this. My heart is full of joy and I have true peace of mind knowing that my last visit today at Best Dental was the best ever. Keep up the great work Best Dental and People Let’s get on this train and support our Woman Owned Minority Business. We support everything else so Y not support our own.

I’m the type of person who has never missed a 6 month dental check up, so I’ve met a lot of dentists overthe years, so I know when I’ve come across a good one. Dr. Prakash is a true professional who takes the time to explain about what needs to be done in a calm manner that helps put you at ease. I can’t recommend Best Dental highly enough. This is definitely my new dental home.

I’m very glad I ended up coming here after 5+ years not visiting any dentist. I did not feel judged at all for the condition of my teeth. I was seen promptly. I also didn’t feel like I was being overcharged (I don’t have insurance). Highly recommend.

I’ve been there twice so far. Once for myself and I just took my daughter there today. Dr. Prakash was super sweet with her and made her feel very comfortable. She educated me on best ways to brush my daughter’s teeth and was super profesional about it. Definitely will be taking my daughter back again and I already scheduled another appointment for myself. Highly recommend.

I Called Friday Morning( july 16th) to schedule appointment Jennifer falsely presented her name as Janet because she knew i would complain about my call today she assumed i may have medicaid health first or another discontinue insurance when i told her otherwise she persisted in repeating the same thing over getting more upset as i provided the same resoinses as i did not know my insurance but it is in your system she said she was working from home and could not see that insurance info yet was rude in her demeanor even telling me she wasnt trying to be rude when i asked her name and it was never brought up in the conversation customer service is key and she should be held accountable for holding a high standard in that category as a staff member so not only was i told theres no orthodontists (probably due to bad extractions and failing rootcanals) but you also dont have staff that can help ease the process of scheduling on the phone due to poor customer service used to be a good location years ago but seems to be failing in recent years despite ratings also being in a prodominantly impoverished neighborhood you should be taking government assisted insurances to actually help those in the community your business resides in smh

My first time there was for crowns, they constantly asked me how much pain can I bare. I’m not going to lie the pain wasn’t as bad as my tattoos. This was 2018. My second adventure to the dentist was I woke up from pain of my wisdom tooth’s. Had to go to the emergency. They set me up with an appointment right away. Trust me I haven’t gone nowhere else. I’m from the Bronx, moved to Harlem now in Jersey. They provide me with the care as a mother provides they child when they are loved correctly. So I rate Best Dental Harlem/Morningside an easy 10. Harlem 125 Best dental is the Best dentist I ever been to in 45yrs.

Hello! If I can give this place 0 stars I would. They are scammers, the doctor in this clinic has all her staff trained to scam you and the your insurance. They will charge you for things that you don’t need. They will also falsely say you have certain issues when you do not. CALL YOUR INSURANCE PRIOR TO DOING SERVICES with her. If you notice she never has the same consistent staff and also the biller is a scam artist too! Her reviews must be paid for!

Amazing staff and doctor! Dr. Prakash is a great dentist, always flexible and sees you as soon as she can. She is very thorough and takes the time to explain in details all dental concerns and questions. Highly recommended!!

You need to come to see Dr. Prakash. Hands down, best dentist ever. She is so calm, with a light touch. She explains everything in a way that you can understand and makes you want to do more about the health of your teeth and gums. Most importantly, she is honest and does amazing work!This comes from someone that truly doesnt like going to the dentist (but I guess who does?) Just had the best experience here yesterday. This is my first time here and I know for sure I will stay with this place from now on. Dr. Prakash was very attentive and an absolute expert. Got my cleaning done and my teeth are feeling FRESH! People at the front desk handled my paperwork and everything fast and were super nice too. Visiting the dentist’s always seemed like a hassle to me especially during this time but Best Dental definitely changed my mind even with all the COVID regulations. A+++!!!

Im quite self conscious about my teeth whenever I visit the dentist, particularly given I havent been able to visit the dentist in a little over a year (due to COVID!). Dr Prakashs fantastic bedside manner put a complete stop to any worries I had, and her friendly and professional attitude during my visit calmed my nerves. All of the staff were wearing PPE, and hand sanitizer was available as well. My teeth feel wonderful and clean, and Ill definitely be visiting again!

My experience at Best Dental in Harlem, in short, has been incredible. The dentist named Dr. Prakash and her staff kindly assisted me while I undertook the procedure of having my first crown set in.Dr. Prakash was kind enough to educate me about the procedure, the crown itself, and more importantly, how to care and maintain the crown after the procedure. I should also add that my expressed preferences as a nervous patient were taken into account and more importantly acted upon.The employees also spent time with my wife and me just talking about dentistry and instructing us on the best methods of obtaining excellent oral hygiene. This display of interest and clear passion for my oral hygiene made my experience feel much more personalized and tailored to me, and I checked out with the confidence of knowing that I was being cared for by true professionals in their field.In conclusion, Best Dental in Harlem is wonderful. I had one of the finest and most memorable dentist appointment experiences ever, and look forward to my next visit this location soon.Thank you so much again for all of your care Dr. Prakash.

I have been looking for a good dentist in this area and finally found one. Dr. Prakash and the staff were very helpful in making me feel comfortable as it was my first visit to this clinic. The office was clean and it felt very safe during these times. I definitely recommend them.

Amazing place. It has a nice practice, and the staff is incredibly friendly. They really went out of their way to help me when I was having insurance issues, and were extremely friendly when I was getting x rays done etc.

I had the worst toothache of my life and I hadn’t gone to the dentist in at least six years. It finally came to the point where I was unable to sleep at night, so I decided it’s time.... I needed to find a good dentist and get my tooth looked examined. I have a bit of a fear of dentists, hence the 6 year hiatus. I ended up stumbling upon Dr. Prakash’s practice from my thorough research. She was able to locate and fill the hole in my tooth which was causing me so much pain. As nervous as I was going in to fix my tooth, it ended up being a quick, easy and painless fix. The office was clean and the staff was pleasant. I will now make sure to visit Dr. Prakash for my cleanings twice a year. They also gave me a great lesson on better flossing habits. Thanks Doc, see you in 6 months!

You cannot find a more honest person than a child. This is much better than the last office! said my six year old who I brought for a cleaning today. It was our first time here. The appointment was not too far out, and the wait time was moderate. A friendly hygienist took the time to get him acquainted with the equipment and comfortable enough (he is very shy around strangers) to let her work. We then saw the Dr., who was also very friendly and welcoming. The staff at the front desk were also very nice. I would 100% recommend.

Best Dental refused to do a normal cleaning for me saying that I need a deep cleaning/scaling that was not covered by insurance. 4 days later I go to a different dentist for a second opinion. I get a normal cleaning and they told me my dental hygiene is great and there was barely anything to clean. The dentist said i absolutely do not need scaling, and that whoever told me that did it because it makes them money. So there you go, Best Dental is corrupt and looking to scam their patients. Before you drop hundreds of dollars on a deep cleaning please get a second opinion! They are just trying to keep their wallets fat.

I really wish I could give this place 5 stars, but it didn’t live up to all these great reviews. I came to best dental because of all the 5 star reviews. Expecting the best dental experience of my life, i was throughly disappointed. The wait time just to be seen was ridiculous. They explained that there was only one dentist in that day, so I was understanding of that. Next they took me into a room, again having a long wait time. Once someone finally does come in, they are immediately trying to get me to have expensive procedures done. I wasn’t sure if I wanted them or not, but i felt pressured into getting them. All of the staff is nice. So is the dentist. That being said, this is far from the best dental experience you will have.

Dr. Prakash put me at ease. Shes extremely calming and really seems to care about her patients. Its difficult to find someone who is as genuine and takes the time to thoroughly address procedures and concerns.

The front desk staff was amazing played with my son while he was waiting for me to finish, everyone was extremely professional and nice to both myself and my son. They did a great job with mine and my sons exam, were very experienced and informative. We have now changed dentists

Dr. Prakash and her staff are warm, gentle and caring. I didn’t think an office like this would exist in Harlem but it does. She listens to my questions and concerns. When she addresses them she goes above and beyond to explain the procedures and their benefits. I’m so happy with my dental work and will recommend her to all my friends and family.

I rate this office zero stars because they pretend to understand what your are asking for at the reception and confirm that they do that procedure once you’re with the doctor you’re offered other things because that’s what she wants to sell they are very rude and unprofessional and don’t return calls when they’re supposed too👎🏾

Today was my first visit to best dental and it was an all around wonderful experience that I highly recommend! The office is clean and organized and the staff is super helpful, polite, and genuinely seem happy to be there. Miriam, the dental hygienist was very thorough but also careful of my permanent retainer from braces 10 years ago which I always worry about when I go to a new dentist. The receptionist was sweet and helped me figure out my insurance. Dr. Prakash was professional but friendly. I really felt like overall Best Dental prioritizes the patient’s best interest.

First time patient, process was quick and simple. Receptionist are friendly and staff was knowledgeable and friendly as well. Comfortable, Clean waiting room with lovely subway tile and marble front desk with tv and restroom. Will definitely come back every six months 😊

I wish my review wouldve been based on their dental services but unfortunately I didnt make it pass reception.I found Best Dental on my insurances online provider directory. I cross referenced reviews on yelp and thought that this dentist would have my best interest at heart. On 5/31/19 I called to make an appointment and was told that I would have to pay out of pocket for an exam since I visited another dentist within the last six months. I then called my insurance and they noted and confirmed that my exam expenses will be covered since I had major issues with my most recent dental work covered by them. The insurance agent also verified that Best Dental accepted the insurance (Liberty Dental - Empire BCBS Health Plus Essential Plan) when she switched them to my primary dental provider over the phone. After that I called Best Dental back, explained what the agent confirmed, and then proceeded to make a appointment for the following week on 6/6/19.On the day of my appointment I arrive and they tell me that they no longer accept my insurance under their new management. The receptionist even went to the back to check with the dentist and came back to deny me. After returning home to retrace me tracks, I called Best Dental again to confirm the date in which they stopped accepting my insurance and the same receptionist says on 6/1. I dont know how true this is or if I just happen to fall right in-between their changes but its negligent and unprofessional. I shouldve been notified before my appointment. Now Ive lost a day of work as a freelancer and Im starting over yet again to get me teeth fixed.

I feel really well taken care of by the doctor. One of the best cleanings I had from the hygienist. Office was small but clean. Really friendly staff as well. I have made appointments for all my kids and husband too.

The staff is friendly & knowledgeable. Theyre very good about scheduling appointments & I even got a text an email for reminder & confirmation. Great for if youre forgetful.

All of the women that helped me are so professional and kind. From the dentist herself to the assistants and administrators everyone was transparent, efficient, and pleasant to speak to. I’m so happy I’ve found a dental clinic that is such a pleasure to come to.

This is the best dentist Ive ever been to in my life! The staff is truly amazing and their professionalism is surpassed by no other. Ive had multiple proceedures done including an emergency repair of a temporary crown and each time I received excellent pain free care. Words cant express how satisfied I am with Best Dental Care NY. Dr. Prakash is a amazing dentist. I Am so scared of dentist and she took the time to listen to me and my concerns and did a great job on my mouth. Highly recommend. And the staff are all good too, they worked with my insurance and help me set up payment plan so I can easily afford my work.

I just called to make an appointment and the receptionist was extremely rude. I asked her whether or not they accepted my insurance and she put me on hold to check after sounding like i was bothering her. 30 minutes later she picks the phone back up and asked me, very rudely, who was I on hold for. I tell her again what the situation was and she says, once again, that she isnt sure. Meaning that she never even bothered to check and just left me hold hoping I would hang up. So I ask if she can check my insurance ID number and she sighs and hangs up on me. People really shouldnt come into work if they dont want to be there.

Service was very quick and super friendly! Felt like my family was taking care of me. 13/10 do recommend

Dr Prakash has to be one of the best dentists I have ever been too. The name of the office doesnt disappoint. My appointments have been pain free and I am very happy with my work.

Staff is very friendly. Very up to date with dental procedures. They don’t use silver fillings, they use clear fillings so no one can tell you’ve had any work done . Staff is very diversified. Also I was in and out.

Dr. Prakash is an excellent dentist! Im terribly afraid of the dentist and shes very sensitive to that and goes the extra mile to make everyone feel comfortable. I first visited Best Dental about a year ago and it was amazing. I was dealing with some gum sensitivity and Dr Prakash took her time to listen to my problems and recommended a quick and simple treatment. I’ve been pain free ever since then. Dr Prakash and the staff at Best Dental have given me the best dental experience I have had in years. The staff are very polite and friendly and leave me looking forward to my next visit every time.

I never thought that extracting wisdom tooth was going to bring me to the life threatening situation until I met with Dr. Hirsch. After extraction, the sinus was left open which led to Oroantral Fistula (OAF) condition. Nothing was done for weeks even though I reported few symptoms.Eventually, I had a very complicated sinus surgery (Caldwell-Luc method) at the different clinic and lived in pain for months.He doesn’t deserve a single star, but thank you google!

This was my second time visiting the dentist office I called in the morning about my chipped tooth and they gave me appointment for the same day (amazing) when I arrived everyone was friendly and attentive the office was very clean and I was seen right away at my schedule time. I just wanted to thank Dr. Prakash and her staff for such a painless experience. I came to the office with a few problems in my mouth and had to have a few procedures done with Dr. Prakash. Honestly, I have to say she is one of the most gentle, and caring dentists I have ever been too. Sometimes the office has really long wait times, but it’s worth it. Just be patient and she will take care of you.

Ive been to many dentists and I would say that this office has the most friendly and skilled dentist, hygienists, and assistants. On top of that, for those without insurance or need procedures that insurance doesnt cover, many procedures are a lot more affordable than at other dental clinics nationwide.
