Excellent service and patient service. A warm welcome and efficient registration with James, swift scans and x-rays with Donna, excellent dental cleaning with Sajal, and brilliant follow through with Dr Klose explaining all the results, as well as ensuring all teeth and gums were thoroughly checked. The camaraderie between the West Village Dental team was also so warm and inviting - nice to see a team enjoy working with each other!

I have had to have a lot of dental work work and I have always HATED the dentist. In the city I previously went to that dental studio that “is for people who hate the dentist (rhymes with mend)” and I really didn’t love it.I came to west village dental and had the absolute BEST experience. I had to get a new crown so I had to come in three times total, and it was a lot of dental work and I left realizing that maybe I did not hate the dentist but that I had been seeing bad dentists my whole life. I truly cannot begin to speak about how amazing each member of the staff is, they make you feel very comfortable in each set of the process.My actual dental work was very painless and quite comfortable, words I truly never thought I would say in my lifetime. Dr. Klose makes you feel right at ease and gets things done efficiently and as comfortably to you as possible. Again, could not recommend more!

Dr. Klose is a great doctor with very friendly staff however the office experience was less than ideal. Dr. Klose recommended an external oral surgeon for wisdom tooth extraction, I emailed the front desk multiple times before receiving it and when I did they were blurry. As a result I was fully charged for unusable x-rays. In addition to my prescription being sent 1 hour away from my address and having a rather rushed appointment, I wont be returning. Great dentist but overall not the best experience.

I delayed important dental work for a long time for a variety of reasons. My longstanding dentist closed his office in Greenwich Village and I was anxious about starting major work with someone I didnt know and I was embarrassed that I might feel judged for letting my fear prevent me from seeking the professional dental care I sorely needed. Based on proximity and user ratings I made an appointment with Dr. Klose and it turned out to be a lucky choice. Dr. Klose was professional, warm and knowledgeable. Her explanation of my dental options were explained in an easy to understand way and I didnt feel overwhelmed by a laundry list of procedures. Her xray technician and administrative staff were friendly and very helpful regarding insurance and scheduling. I walked in feeling anxious but walked out feeling relieved and excited to work with Dr. Klose and her staff to regain good oral health and a confident smile.

My dentist recently retired and I was looking for a new one. Having seen the sandwich board on Hudson Street near my RiteAid, I decided to give them a try for a cleaning. Easy to schedule and text reminders that I liked. Easy insurance discussion. Office is spotless and marked for social distancing as best as possible. Everyone in masks and you are reminded to put yours on to go to and from the exam room. Dentist was thorough, and I liked that she put areas to discuss up on the TV in the room so we could talk about it and extra things I should have done. I think I found a new dentist!

Dr Klose is amazing, she is very professional and careful, takes her time to explain everything and overall you leave having a very positive experience... even though we all know that dentists are rarely associated with anything positive. Just had my first consultation at this office and had a really good experience. The guy at the front desk is super friendly and helpful. The dentist has a great demeanor, really takes the time to explain everything and make the proper referrals. Also, compared to some other dental offices Ive been to, they dont try to load you up on expensive procedures when its not totally necessary. I will definitely be sticking with them.

This place has been fantastic since I found them a couple years ago. Staff are always super nice and thorough and the place is really clean. Ive seen Dr Klose several times as well and she has also always been super friendly and does a great job. Sadly moving out of state so Im losing this dentist. Will be tough to replace them!

After researching dental studios since moving to NYC, I stumbled upon West Village Dental. I made my first appointment and everyone was super welcoming and nice. I was excited to have found my new permanent spot.I had a teeth cleaning and the dentist noticed a small cavity forming. She told me she can fill it right then and there, without any numbing as it should be super painless & easy. Not expecting to have to pay during that appointment, I was offered to come back and get it done next time. The Dentist told me that rather than setting my appointment for the standard 6 months later, she wants me to come back in 4 months to ensure the cavity doesnt get any worse. I set an appointment for 4 months later with the receptionist.Its 4 months later, I take the morning off work, dont have breakfast, and head to West Village Studio for my filling.Upon arrival, the dental hygienist mentions she will be doing my teeth cleaning. I tell her I am here for a cavity filling. She looks confused and tells me thats not what the notes say. I explained that the reason Im here before the standard 6 months before my last appointment was per advisement from the Dentist... to get the cavity filled. Unsure what to do, she gets the receptionist. The receptionist comes in and again tells me thats not what the notes say.The incompetence of not taking proper notes and failing to document the right next steps was frustrating.While I understand that mistakes happen, what made the situation worse was the lack of empathy or acknowledgement for the mistake that was made. The receptionist kept saying thats not what the notes say, almost as if I was making up the fact that I needed to come back for a filling (who would ever do that? lol)Again, absolutely no ownership for the mistake that THEY made. After going back and forth with the receptionist about what the notes say he offered that I wait an hour for the other dentist to try to squeeze me in. Zero consideration that I have to get back to work after taking the morning off for this.Overall, very poor first impression for a new customer whos trying to find the right dental studio. I will not be returning.

Everything from the booking of my appointment to it’s completion was seamless. The office manager (James) greeted me by name when I walked in and instantly made me feel warm and welcome.I felt safe being in the office during the Pandemic as the team and office were both prepared and diligent in in following the mandated precautions.Finally, Dr Klose was amazing. Her “bedside manner” proved she was extremely knowledgeable and confident, yet empathetic and kind. My time with Dr. Klose and her smart and funny assistant (can’t remember his name darnit) was detailed, easy to understand and felt honest. The office was community based and diverse, and I look forward to going back for my upcoming procedures.....well kind of 😳

I had such a great experience with Dr. Klose and her staff! I wanted to whiten my teeth for a family reunion, so I tried the in-office Boost whitening treatment. I couldn’t be happier with the results. My teeth are much brighter, and I’ve already gotten a lot of compliments on how white my teeth look.Dr. Klose was incredibly patient and took the time to walk me through the process so that I was comfortable with each step. This included coating my gums with a protective barrier, and then doing two coats of the bleaching agent. Dr. Klose’s staff checked on me often to make sure I wasn’t experiencing any discomfort during the bleaching process. I was surprised at how little discomfort I felt.What I liked best about Dr. Klose’s practice is that the office is friendly and you don’t feel rushed. Definitely a much more pleasant experience than other dentists I’ve seen in NYC.

*****WOULD GIVE MORE THAN 5 STARS IF I COULD*****Dr Lauren Atwell-Oglesby fitted me with a replacement crown for a crucial back tooth as well as doing several fillings and a cleaning. On each visit I was treated with kindness and compassion. The entire staff is extremely efficient and professional including their super friendly receptionist James. This office is totally state of the art - they actually make their own crowns on a very cool machine in house rather than using an outside lab.Big plus: They have nitrous oxide (laughing gas) to take the edge off in addition to Novocaine.
