Had my first visit with Dr. Ahmed and it was beyond exceptional! She not only squeezed me in on a very tight schedule, she called me and set up an immediate virtual visit since I told her my wedding was around the corner and I wanted to get this done ASAP! I have never felt more comfortable in a dentists office. The cleanliness, the staff, the bedside manner - everything is just top-notch. More than anything, I would recommend this office for the simple fact that they actually care and listen. After suffering with severe TMD for 4 months and seeing several different types of doctors who either couldnt identify the problem or offered no permanent solution, I finally came to Smile Design and they immediately came up with not only a diagnosis, but a real, sustainable treatment plan. I absolutely adore this beautiful establishment. The first time I came here was for an emergency root canal, done by Dr. Patrick Ng-A-Fook, a top of the line Endodontist. He did such a wonderful, detailed job on the root canal. After that I had the pleasure of Dr. Mahvish Ahmed completing the extensive after treatment. Not only is she one of THE BEST dentists, she is also one of the sweetest people and knows how to make you feel comfortable. She definitely knows how to work that numbing needle where you don’t feel much of anything. They really pull out the red carpet over there. The ENTIRE staff is amazing. Hands down I give this place 7 stars!!! Dr Gause runs a wonderful place!

I rarely write any reviews but I wanted to share and explain my outrages experience especially the front desk with the following facts:1) At my recent visit last week I have never been notified in advance that there is a COVID test upon arrival and there is a decent CHARGE for it even though the rest of the NY state is testing for free and I could of bring it with me with out paying extra if I knew in advance.2) They dont bother to notify you that their prices went up 20%-30% in the middle of ongoing pandemic while all the businesses are dropping their prices. At my last visit I was also bummed at the check out that I had to pay more for the same procedure I have been doing for sometime with them. I didnt refuse to pay more but It felt like they are taking advantage of their patients and again ongoing unprofessional approach.3) I agree with other reviews here they will smile to your face and act friendly but they dont do their job after you leave the office as long as swipe of your credit card is done. No one will follow up with you on separate appointments that was promised to be set up with different specialists. You have been referred to from the main doctor to see them and you dont know those doctors and you have to chase them over and over again to get that done.4 ) Filing claims with your insurance for medical needs of botox that was performed in the past with them and due after 6 months is another complicated task for front desk people. Even though your insurance fully pay for it and its been done in the past by their Dr. After my last visit I was keep calling them over and over again and texting. Front desk have promised its done but the new person who picks up the phone tells you that there is no records of it and they dont accept my insurance after days of previous conversations waisted. This is happens every time you call and feels beyond frustration because they cant pull any records correctly and mislead you with new info every time, mostly negative one.4) The last most disrespectful experience I had this morning. After a long chase for days with bunch of different people at front desk on setting up periodontist referral appointment I was finally able to get the virtual one at 10 am with periodontist Dr Daniel Berant. Of course, it never happened. This doctor never showed up and nobody bother to tell me that he canceled on me. I have been sitting and waiting for over an hour texting their messenger system and asking where is my doctor but no one ever responded to me. After I called the front desk acted so dumb as usual like they have no clue on what is going and they just walked in on me and that Dr most forgot or working on his other appointments already. It was so humiliating and unprofessional.I was referred to this office from the modeling agency some time ago. I have been contacted and invited from their manager to be their patient but nobody cared that I am referral anymore. I honestly have never experienced this before.

Visiting the dentist is never a joyful experience, but the staff here at Smile Dental have of way of making it comfortable. My hygienist is amazing. Dr. Gause has a wonderful staff that is equipped to handle all of your dental needs.

I just completed my Invisalign treatment and it feels bittersweet. I am very happy with my new smile and the fact that I no longer need to wear the trays all day but a little sad I won’t have my short progress appointments to see my fave ladies in the office. Dr. Ahmed is excellent and really cares that you are happy with your results. Sadete is the best dental assistant and getting the Zoom whitening treatment with her left me with a bright smile and minimal sensitivity. Scheduling appointments was always a breeze with Judeen. The location was very convenient to me working in the city, even through an office move. In a couple months I will no longer be working in NYC so I lose the convenience but I still plan to come to Smile Design Manhattan from NJ for cleanings with Hanay - that should say a lot! Everyone I’ve dealt with takes pride in their work and makes me feel special even though they have plenty of patients. Highly recommend!

If I could give 6 stars, I would. I am 33 weeks pregnant and was up all night with a throbbing pain in my tooth. This is a tooth that had been hurting me before but my current dentist would not work on me because of the pregnancy. When my husband contacted Dr. Gause, there was absolutely no hesitation about working on me while pregnant. In fact, his main concern was that he take the pain away for the sake of the baby. All he needed was medical clearance from my doctor. I was able to get a same day appointment & was worked on with both Dr. Gause & his root canal specialist who, by the way, deserves 5 stars on his own as well! I felt absolutely no pain during the procedure. I was a bit uncomfortable with laying on my back being so pregnant so his specialist finished the procedure while standing up so that I could be comfortable. Dr. Gause & and his assistant finished the procedure by placing a permanent filling to get me through the end of my pregnancy (and come back after delivery for the crown). It was an absolute art how they worked seamlessly amongst each other. I would recommend Smile Design to ANYONE needing any dentistry work!

Wow so many great things to say about this establishment. First, the doctor and staff are super nice and so informative. When I was getting my teeth cleaned I was told what was going on every step of the way. I’m use to dentist just going in my mouth very rough not caring to be gentle that i actually thought that was part of the dentist experience. It also was very clean and not a messy job at all. The whole time I felt very comfortable. They went above and beyond by also telling me how to improve my overall oral health. My biggest problem is I don’t floss enough which didn’t surprise me. In general this was the best teeth cleaning experience I’ve ever had by far. My teeth have never felt so smooth. I’m so excited to go back for my teeth whitening appointment!
