Wonderful staff. Josephine is a thorough and terrific hygienist. Dr Vogel is a compassionate and thoughtful dentist. He will only suggest work that is needed. He is Honest and trustworthy.

My first time at a dentist in almost 3 years due to the pandemic and many other reasons. I can’t recommend them more. If you have any fears at all about going to the dentist, these folks are the right ones for you. Everything ran smoothly and comfortably. I was in terrible pain from an extraction. My dentist was far away from where I live and Dr Shipper had me come in. I had a dry socket which he treated with dry socket paste that immediately stopped the pain. I was taking IBUPROFEN and he said for intense pain I could take 2 Tylenol with it. He also told me I could come back in 2 days for more dry socket paste which I did. The office staff were all very nice and helpful. The office was very clean and close to my apartment. I am so grateful they saw me and as soon as I called. They are a wonderful, professional, excellent dental office I will highly recommend.

I broke a rear molar and they were able to see me that day. Dr. Shipper used a conservative plan to save the tooth with a composite. His work is first rate! Fantastic dentist on the Upper West Side. They handle my entire family including kids. We love everyone here and most importantly the dental service is great. They rebuilt a shattered tooth, have done excellent crown work and provide nice routine cleaning. The staff is friendly and it’s in a great location right off the park.

Dr. Shipper is an amazing dentist. Very knowledgeable, diligent, and gentle. Heidi and staff are lovely. They are thorough, and make the experience as painless as possible. The technology they use is very modern, and I have never seen my teeth in 360 degrees so up close and personal in color. They taught me that previous dentists had lied or were unequipped to help me with my dental needs. I literally was able to eat after every procedure, and I am talking root canals and all. Food is very important to me. The staff explains everything they are doing before they do it, and give you great choice. Dr. Shipper even let me admire my crown before it was put in. Dr. Vogel, I hear is amazing as well. My teeth cleaning was so well done as well. Did I mention they are open on most holidays? As a teacher that works well for my schedule.One tiny caveat is that they do not accept most insurance and services are a bit pricey, but this is Manhattan. That being said they communicate to insurance in a way to squeeze as much as they can on your behalf. If you think of your teeth as an investment then it is totally worth the money. Remember that you get what you pay for. Before I came to Central Park Dental, I had bad teeth sensitivity and bleeding while brushing, which I suffered with my whole life. That was gone after first procedure.

This is thee place to go for all of your Dental needs .Over the years I have had numerous work done but have never been sent to someone else for a extraction, or a root canal or any complicated issue. Never have I experienced pain and always am given complete explanation and photos when appropriate.I always had a fear of dentists until I met Dr. Shipper.

The cleaning was more than thorough, the Hygienist did a fantastic job. The filling was smooth and painless. This place is as good as it gets! My main visit was to discuss Veneers and he told me to put that aside. Central Park West Dental would make even the most timid dentist goers actually WANT to go to the dentist. Dr. Vogel couldnt be nicer and is certainly an expert at his job not to mention all of his technicians and their ability to put their patients at ease compliment a very highly trained group of people. The atmosphere in the office is cheerful and very positive. You couldnt ask for a better experience if you are going to a dentist. I was delighted when my insurance was able to cover the cost of coming to this office. Heidi and Sheri at the front desks make the experience even better. Their professionalism and friendliness make for the icing on the cake! And folding the already filled out paperwork for your insurance, and putting in a pre-addressed envelope isnt bad either. I highly recommend this office!

A+++++! Briana does my cleanings and she is truly incredible.I have periodontal disease and sensitive teeth and so always dreaded my 3x a year cleanings.....but no more! She has a really light touch and is very careful, so both times shes done my cleaning Ive had absolutely NO PAIN! I couldnt believe it. I will never let anyone do my cleanings again! Dr. Vogel does my dental work and hes fantastic too. Love this place.

I approached with fear and trepidation - I had previously had a very bad experience with another dental practice. The minute I made the appointment, I felt more comfortable. The staff is very friendly, helpful, organized and efficient. But Dr. Vogel - I CANT PRAISE HIM ENOUGH! He did a fantastic job. A real master of the mouth. From reception to the dentists chair, everything about this practice is good. From the minute you meet Heidi at the front desk, you are made to feel both comfortable and welcome. My partner has been a patient for several yrs now and I needed a new dentist as mine moved out of state.Dr Vogel is terrific. Friendly, informative, not in a rush, explains in detail. Originally he put back a crown that had gotten loose. I could not believe just how thorough he and his staff were.A few weeks later I decided to have zoom whitening. I had not whitened my teeth in many years.They look 100% better, whiter, healthier, without the white looking looking like u could get a tan looking at them. A perfect enhancement.Next, at 64, I questioned what it would take to straighten my teeth, thinking honestly that boat had sailed. A few weeks later I am doing invisalign which will straighten my teeth and assist my bite for the first time in my life.You cannot see them in your mouth and no one has noticed I even am wearing it. A surprise for me as I had never anticipated this. BTW I was the curious guy, this idea was not originated by Dr Vogel. There is no salesman ship needed. Being there is what sold me. The comfort of a great practice is all you need to feel confident in the staff. I am not only very happy, but grateful to everyone I have come in contact with, and especially Heidi and Dr Vogel. It should be an interesting year ending with a smile I have dreamed of all my life.as a follow up to the review I posted early this year, I am now at the finish line with invisalign( hmm that rhymed, go figure?) my teeth are just about straight and my bite much improved) worth the time, effort, and expense.Dr vogel and staff have been very supportive through the process with always a warm welcoming & continued good will. if you are considering this dental practice, dont hesitate....
