Y staff is amaizing, friendly, welcoming and professional.Great space for a daily workout.

Enjoy swimming there. Need to reserve a 1/2 lane.

While the 14th Street Y is a place to exercise, it was also used recently for a venue on an open house for the Canarsie tunnel closure. I felt it was a great place to do this, given the fact that theres so much to learn about how the tunnel closure would change peoples commute through the city.

Very much enjoyed the Theater, not your mothers Valentines day was perfect for Valentines day.Kudos to the writing, acting and the support.The plaque below was incredibly special to me .Much love and respect.

The 14th Street Y is a place where you can go and hang out. It has a fitness center, basketball court, swimming pool, male and female locker rooms, sauna and you can even take a few fitness classes. Another great thing about this place is you can bring your kids to learn how to swim. I think they also have day care. Its reasonably priced and you get what you pay for.

A wonderful, inclusive community center, once you pay.The lounge area in the front has seats, tables, and an area for kids to run around. There is stroller parking and a snack-vending machine.The gym receives regular updates to its equipment.The pool has women-only as well as family swim times, and offers classes for kids from infancy through young adult hood.The children’s programming includes part- and full-time programs in early education, as well as after-school dance, basketball, and swimming.The early childhood program provides great resources for parents as well as children 0–3.The arts and theatre programs offer a tremendous diversity of thoughtful entertainment.

Very well equipped Gym Facility - latest workout equipment to work on every part of body/muscle group. Nice size pool to do those laps....Locker rooms are ample and include shower area and a sauna room...Have alot of activities/Events going on to peak young and old interests.

I have been going to the gym for over 2 years. I have never been to the pool but heard good things about it. Fitness center is good. Basic machines. Can be a bit tight during the rush hours. Overall a good place. The membership fees a quite nominal and love the fact that they charge monthly with no commitment or contract. Quite hassle free.

The 14th Street Y is an incredible fitness and community center. The center features group fitness classes, gym equipment and a great pool. It has a modern locker room, nice sauna and clean showers. I am so glad I decided to take adult swim lessons here. My instructors have been so professional, making me feel safe and comfortable in the water. They are so patient and have helped me overcome my fear of swimming!

Great place its run with professionalism everyone was welcoming. The swimming pool was great and the summer the classes well attended by women who were in great shape, dont you dare look at their age and think anything less!! The teacher and the music were well-chosen loved it. It was a true workout!!! There was even a lifeguard, who was kind enough to give me another swimming cap, to borrow, when mine wouldnt stay on.

Great place to get coffee, breakfast. It’s extremely spacious and good for large groups

Gym, pool yoga and activities for the young and old. A lot of good things about this place. Use to be a public school at the turn of the 20 century. Meyer Lansky and lucky Luciano met there and began their life long friendship. So its been reported

My friend purchased a 5 pack of private 30 minute swim lessons for me. I attend sessions once a week. My swim instructor is knowledgeable, encouraging, pushes me enough yet understands I have boundaries. I am happy to finally not be scared to dip even just a toe into water now.

Great neighborhood community center. Has a ton of kids activities. Swim coaches are great! Music class is fun! Enjoy

Great gym

Very convenient for people who live in that area, they have activities for the whole family; different fitness classes for the adults but also music classes, art classes and playful classes to keep kids active. The people who work there so friendly and helpful , I had a great experience there awesome 👍👍

Well beloved community center plus theres one of the best downtown hidden theaters up on the second floor. A true gem.

Great classes and wonderful teachers. The staff too are so helpful especially Carmen.

Friendly, casual place. Good yoga and exercise classes. Pool too small and warm but used to have terrific Master Class. Need one again!

Nice clean facility. The gym is pretty basic more like a hotel gym but the babysitting is very good. Most of the toys had working electronics and the interaction was great.

The facility is a bit old and that is part of its charm. I I had an event there and the staff was very helpful and on top of it. Location is pretty good as well.

The staff are nice, the facilities are clean and never too crowded. The people who come here are lovely and polite, very good environment to work out. The classes are fun too. And theres a pool.

This is a wonderful and save family oriented organization with state of the art facilities. Its where my kids learned how to swim since they were babies and its were I work out. Highly recommend it.

This is where I learned to fall in love with basketball and played with some of the best players in the world. this place will always hold a place in my heart

Great Gym and sauna. And amazing other recreational activities I definitely enjoy the gym, well up to date equipment and trainers.

My daughter and i had a great time during fall swim lesson,it was great to see her become more and more comfortable with water, HOWEVER LOCKER ROOMS ARE FREEEEEEZZZZING ,extremely uncomfortable for an adult let alone a child.

Machines are in the best shape of any gym Ive been to in the last several years. Everything is well maintained, updated, clean, and in immaculate condition

Just an awesome place to connect with community.

This is my gym so I gotta love it. It is not fancy nor does it have the desirable amenities like towel service.However, it does have an indoor heated swimming pool, basketball court and fitness studio.Everyone here is friendly and I never find it crowded, which works perfect for me. I hate fighting for machines!It is $69 a month if you join the single membership. It is not very cheap but considering they have a pool and a court, I think that is reasonable.

Man, the pool is cold. And they have random closures. Its a bit small for what they try to accomplish.

Friendly, clean and a place to keep fit. Theres a gym, pool and after school activities for kids. Also theres a summer day camp.

The 14th Street Y has a lot of great qualities. Its convenient, wonderful childrens programs, friendly staff, etc.. The negatives are largely the tired gym equipment, relatively small gym & constant complaining from the older membership which becomes quite tiresome.

Their roof is cool. Gym still needs some work

A landmark of culture and fitness.

No frills, but a lot of valuable services to the community. We take advantage for the swim lessons and the indoor playground on Sundays during Winter months.
