Regarding the After School Program: About 2 years ago, the head of the After School Program moved their existing staff to a different location and hired a brand new team. He hired Mr. Marvin Williams as the Director of the program. Mr. Marvin then hired Mr. Naquan Jones as the Program Coordinator and Pia Roman as their administrator. The 3 of them have revamped the entire after school program, bringing in Tutors, Pajama Program and a curriculum that aims for the next grade level. My son who attended the after school program before Mr. Marvin and his team came on board and I saw a dramatic improvement since 4th grade when the team came on. Now my son is in middle school and I realized that his math level is either on or beyond the 7th grade level. For those who have attended or experienced the after school program before Mr. Marvin came on board, should reconsider their program. He brings in a very high level and intense program for the kids of this community. I am very grateful of him and his team for helping my son improve his academics. I cant wait until my daughter is old enough to join the program, but unfortunately the program is not accepting Kindergarten children.
