I went in expecting to find out I had a small hearing loss of higher tones in one ear, but it was a bit worse than that in both ears. She kindly explained when I might have issues hearing someone (such as in a noisy location). She explained exactly how the tests worked, was really friendly, and delivered not great news in a very uncomplicated way. She left the option of hearing aids to my personal needs. Since I am a sole proprietor that works in my home’s quiet second bedroom, I’ll wait to spend thousands on hearing aids. But now I have information I’ll monitor over time.

Dr. McCullagh was an absolute pleasure to work with. She listened attentively, answered all my questions, gave me pamphlets & print-outs of pertinent information, and let me try on different types of hearing aids to see how they felt in my ears and how the sound came across. Ive seen a number of audiologists over the years, but Dr. McCullagh was by far the most informative. I felt that she guided me objectively, which was a pleasure. I have 2 more appointments to come--1) to pick up my new hearing aids and have them programmed; and 2) to follow up and tweak as necessary. There is also a 45-day trial period so if I am not satisfied with my choice, I can return them at no charge and try a different pair.

Meaghan was very nice and accommodating while conducting hearing test on our newborn. She made sure our baby was comfortable and patiently retested everytime our baby would pull the ear plugs out. Meagan met me soon after my arrival and conducted an audiology test. She explained each part of the test as it proceeded, and gave me a summary of the results right away, before submitting them to my ENT specialist for discussion immediately thereafter. Meagans demeanor was friendly and professional, and I look forward to a follow-up test with her a year from now.

No I would not recommend this audiologist. I was told when I booked the appointment that it was covered by my Aetna Medicare insurance as my free annual hearing exam. Before I left the office I was forced to pay a $40 copay for the test plus an additional $40 copay for Dr. Alexiades to briefly look in my ears and give me the test results (unchanged). The exact same thing happened to me the previous year, but I let it go by and I forgot that it had happened. If you have had a similar experience, I encourage you to post a one-star review as well. It doesnt matter how nice or competent people are if their billing department is committing fraud. Watch your wallet!
