I would like to inform the public of my experience so that you can make your own assessment when choosing an acupuncturist.I had my 1st appointment a few weeks ago seeking to treat Rheumatoid Arthritis symptoms. The office area has a bad smell and was very dusty and dirty. I ignored this because I was excited to get pain relief, possibly.The doctor is the only staff so she is busy running between patients and answering the door and phone calls. She places my needles and afterwards tells me that my RA is from slow digestion.On my next visit, she asks for me to bring in my RA records and a covid test. She hands my records back and tells me there is no time for her to review them. I did not yet test for covid. She performs acupuncture, without results and I go home.I get tested a few days later, I send her the results that I am positive, although asymptomatic. She ignores me so I call her and she is very rude as if she is disgusted by me. She then tells me my arthritis pain is from Covid and that I should have been vaccinated months ago and to come in next year.There are several problems with this, for one, she medically discriminated against me, it is everyones choice to get vaccinated or not and those with RA are in fact, advised not to as it worsens inflammation in the body and can even bring your RA out of remission. So from the beginning, she of course had the right to turn me away as a patient for not being vaxxed but it was not brought up until later. Her behavior in regards to all of this is completely unacceptable.I will find a new acupuncturist with a clean office and who cares about the whole body.

Dr. Li Na is the real deal. She takes time to ask questions to truly understand your problems. I have been going to her practice for almost 10 years and it has been very successful. I highly recommend her.

I have been seeing acupuncturist Lina Zhao for about 12 years. Her acupuncture technique is superior and has helped me with several different body ailments over the years. She is kind, courteous and skillful. Ive recommended her to friends who continue to thank me.

She does excellent work. I have gone to her for a variety of issues including problems with high blood pressure, problems with psoriasis, aches in my muscle. She really helped me with all those challenges and resolved the matter. She is a great person and very kind. She is dedicated to helping her patients.

Over the last ten years, Ive been treated for a variety of body conditions such as lower back pain, migraine headaches, and sciatica. She is very patient and listens well. She uses both her extraordinary skills with acupuncture and use of Chinese herbal medicines. Recently, Ive been treated to improve my immune system. Shortly after treatment, I felt great

I never comeback again.I think Doctor gave me needles wrong position this time.Because she is so EMOTIONAL. First of all She didn’t like conversation with me this time (actually she was late to show up her office so she looks impatient her feeling) I never have pain during I have acupuncture but just felt so much painful and I couldn’t keep to do that.I told her I feel needles are so pain this time and she just taken all needles and told me “You have problem in your head, get off from the bed. “I felt that very rude for patient.So I get almost nothing and I have to ask some paper work for my insurance company but she just refused it unless I don’t pay for this visit.I am sure she is emotional person also she is not clearly understanding English. I think that makes problem like this time.Ex. I didn’t ask or push her manage the appointment schedule for me but she told me like I opened schedule for you! It’s one of problem from her conversation.Sorry but thank you for nothing. I went there several times but I even don’t get better my condition from her acupuncture.

Dr Lina is great. She listens carefully to your problems before suggesting best approach. She has helped me a lot with recovering from my poor health. I always felt like I was in the caring hands of a person who genuinely wants me to feel better. She is also very polite.

Spoke with Dr. Zhao on the phone and she said she does Traditional Chinese medicine consultation for herbal remedies to treat my symptoms. She doesn’t have the herbs at the location but told she would tell me what to get. I went in and she started asking me questions in the waiting room, she didn’t take me into any private office and I had to share personal medical details. She then tells me I will need herbs and acupuncture and that she will order the herbs for me. I denied the acupuncture because I have a Dr. who performs it under my insurance for free and she REFUSED to treat me, tell me or order me the herbs unless I did a $70 session acupuncture treatment every week I said I would prefer to get from my personal doctor. She then told me the five minute questioning she did in the waiting room was her $50 “consultation” and she couldn’t help me. I asked her to at least treat me herbally and she said she would not order them for me since I wouldn’t get the acupuncture from her. When I then asked for her to at least write down her diagnosis or the medication she said no. So her complete consultation was asking a few questions in a public space and telling me not to eat spicy food which I don’t. This is a complete scam. Sorry for people who are getting good results from her but you are being scammed. I suggest going somewhere else where you are not conned into getting treatment from her that you don’t want. I later went to an actual TCM doctor and herbologist in Chinatown who completely explained everything they were doing, examined me in private, gave me an herbal regimen, did not pressure me into getting treatment from them and was half the price. Do not go to Dr. Zhao she is a complete waste of time and money.

Lina Zhao is one of the best people Ive ever encountered in health care. I have seen her pretty consistently for years now. I have a chronic illness, and her acupuncture helped me with energy and stress in a way that nothing else did before. She also does wonders for acute problems. She explains everything she is doing, listens to everything, is incredibly professional, and just a wonderful person. She is also always up on the new developments or tools that are available in Chinese medicine, and trying to think of ways that you might benefit -- she thinks outside the box -- to me, the mark of someone with real skill and talent. I cant recommend her highly enough!

I have been coming to Lina for about 2 years now. She has kept me out of the doctors office and fixed me more times than I can count. She is super knowledgeable and usually just takes one session to fix whatever is wrong with me!

This is my favorite Chinese acupuncture and herbal medicine place in NYC, also consider Dr Zhao the best Chinese doctor. Dr Zhao has rigorous training in Chinese medicine from famous medical school in Beijing. She has excellent expertise of acupuncture, suction cups and prescription of Chinese herbs. She is also very honest, responsible, knowledgeable, caring and nice. We always had good conversation. After getting regular treatment for 6 years, we became friends. I put a lot of trust in his hands. I always fell asleep right there in the middle of treatment, felt very relaxed and peaceful, and sleep quality improved afterwards. Overall his treatment effectively reduced stress from work, balanced the qi in my body, skin and digestion got better. I am very thankful to Dr Zhao.
