Debating to purchase online or local? I wish I had given Park Lane my deserved business...After my dog ate my glasses I thought no way could I afford another $200,$300 or $400 dollars a pair! So I browsed online & chose a company.After uploading my prescription, acknowledging a ton of criteria I knew nothing about and agreeing to $150, the taxes, surcharges, and additions I did not understand brought me up to about $190.I then waited 6 weeks.Upon initial unpacking they were obviously cheaply made but served the purpose right?Now 1.5 years later they needed major adjusting.Park Lane Eye care, even after being told I did not purchase from their location was adamant in refusing my attempt to pay for the adjustment twice. First on the phone and then in person.Here’s my realization:While standing their waiting for my adjustment I browsed the glasses on their walls and realized I could’ve gotten, if not the same quality maybe better, had I purchased one of Park Lanes framesAND I could feel good about supporting a friendly, knowledgeable and accomplished local business.Next pair I’ll be in Park Lane 👍🏻

Could not be happier with the service I’ve always received here. Dr.Roberts is thorough and never rushes through his eye exam, he answers every question and always makes the visit very comfortable. John is the only man I trust with picking out my frames (sorry toMy hubby) but John has an incredible knack of knowing exactly what’s “right” for my face. The staff is always friendly and welcoming and I imagine the personalized service is nothing you’d ever find in the big chain eyeglass stores.

Ive met Dr. Roberts and John from around town and didnt think twice about using them for my eye care. Dr. Roberts was the first doctor that Ive seen as an adult and it was a great experience. He was kind and very thorough during the exam and walked me through all the steps. John is a very direct, to the point kind of guy, and I appreciated his assertiveness when I needed help picking out frames. Both of these professionals were so kind and generous to me. I picked up my new glasses days after the appointment and couldnt be happier.

I have been a patient of Dr. Roberts for several years. I actually live in Florida and come up to Connecticut every year for an eye exam and new glasses. Dr. Roberts is patient and explains things very well. The staff (especially John and Paul) are amazing. I always depend on John to pick out just the right frames for me!!

Very thorough exam, follow up exam, and appointment for glasses, and despite Covid regulations of only being able to have one patient in the building, I never felt rushed. Thank you!

These folks are awesome. The staff was highly professional and courteous. Dr. Roberts gave me an extremely thorough eye exam and was extremely helpful explaining everything he was doing and why. Im lucky that I have pretty decent vision, but have been feeling like I need reading glasses for certain times, especially in dimly lit rooms or restaurants at night when trying to read menus. Im always dragging the candle on the table over to my menu to light it up or using my iPhone light to read it. Dr. Roberts confirmed that a pair of reading glasses would be a good idea, and also explained the lifestyle implications of having to take them with you.They have a very large selection of frames and came up with numerous options for me that made me look good without breaking the bank. They have lots of different designer frames and Mr. Uhran, the optician, patiently went through lots of them with me to find something that was just right. Safe to say theres something for everyone, given the variety they have.Highly recommended for anyone needing an eye exam and eye care that you head down to Park Lane. They rock!

I love this place. I have only purchased one pair of glasses here and that was about 2 years ago but whenever I step foot in the store and need an adjustment they treat me as if Im the most important customer there. I stopped in on Saturday and they were busy!!. They fixed a broken screw, adjusted my glasses and even gave me a brand new free case when he noticed mine was a bit tattered.Ive been in customer service my whole life and I manage a fast paced cosmetic surgeon office....I know what customer service is.Thank you Park Lane Eye Care!!When I need my next pair I will definitely be in your store.
