I initially went to Dr. D Acevedos office because i was having issues with my weight. I really appreciated her time and attention to detail. First, she ordered a full blood analysis to ensure she was treating the right problem. I really appreciated she taking the time to explain her recommendation, at the same time that she validated there was no conflict with other medications. The process to check in / check out in the office was very easy and waiting time was minimal. I felt very confident that Dr. Acevedo was knowledgeable and cared about her patients. Thank you!!

I Came to Dr. Acevedo after I was having problems with hormones and period. And let me tell you, she went above and beyond for my service. She was the best doctor I had ever seen. Dr Acevedo definitely cared about me and not just my case. I felt like my experience was personal and specialized. Definitely happy with this experience and recommend her to anyone looking for a great endocrinologist.

I just read the reviews (while looking for the office phone #) and I am not clear on the criticism from some patients towards Dr. Acevedo. She has been exceptional and professional with her care towards my wife and myself. She takes her time to fully explained the diagnosis and makes sure that as a patient-Dr. relationship, we are both in the same page. The tests ordered were thorough and the explanation of the results and the program she recommended for both my wife and me were clear. We are currently under her treatment and have had 0 issues.Our experience has been the total opposite of the negative reviews here, I would take those negative with a grain of salt.

I am a senior citizen under the care of Dr Acevedo for my diabetes management since 2017. During these years Dr Acevedo has assisted me to control my diabetes maintaining a 6.1 HbA1c average rating of 6.1.To achieve the aforementioned, Dr Acevedo has always been cognizant of the latest drugs available to ascertain a healthy and responsive prescription plan for myself, as for some of these new medications even though they control my diabetes, on the other hand, they tend to irritate the urinary tracks, which at times becomes very uncomfortable.Under her expert knowledge of the newest drug developments and their counter actions, I have been able to surpass the painful urinary infections that have bothered me in the past.Dr Acevedo shows great empathy in listening to me during my office visits and thoroughly explains to me the alternatives available and the benefits and possible reactions/downfalls whenever she prescribed a new medication.I highly recommend Dr Acevedo expertise as an Endocrinologist as well as human candor and compassion in understanding patients’ health grievances.

If you look at my profile, I barely give reviews so the fact that I’m taking the time to do this hopefully means something. This doctor should have never been a doctor. I don’t even think she likes what she does. I had been going to her since 2015 because of lack of periods And she was unhelpful. She kept giving me the runaround, suggesting different test and insisting that I take birth control even though that wasn’t helping the situation at all. Turns out I had polycystic ovary syndrome and I ended up having to go to another endocrinologist to get it under control with metformin due to her lack of empathy. Then, I conceived and had pregnancy diabetes. I was assigned to her because she was the closest endocrinologist to my OB/GYN and I needed to do everything in one place because of my work schedule. There was absolutely no consideration for me. Even when I would make the first appointment of the day with the clarification that I had to be out of the office at a certain time in advance,I would have to wait for an hour or more. Sometimes I would just leave because I had to get to work on time. If this lady was a decent doctor who took time with her patients, the wait time would be worth it and wouldn’t matter but she really doesn’t. She rushes you out of her office, doesn’t listen to you because she knows more than you do about your own body apparently and just plain does not care. During the last month of my pregnancy, my test strips and machine for monitoring my glucose were discontinued. Her response was that I was going to give birth in a few weeks anyway so she wasn’t going to bother referring another machine. How absolutely irresponsible of her to say the least. I would even go as far as calling it medical neglect. Thankfully, I had a friend that had a whole bunch of leftover strips from the same machine that she was able to give me.I was told that I would hear back from the office for a six week follow up as far as my glucose. I’m still waiting for that call and my kid is 18 months old. The best thing I can say is that her staff is very nice and hard-working. However, when the doctors Sol is not in what the doctor is doing the office reflects that as a whole unfortunately.I know it’s really hard to find endocrinologists in this county and the only good one that there was has since moved to New York so I don’t have any suggestions but it’s better not to have one than to go here believe me. Lastly, please don’t avoid this center in particular after you read this review. All the other doctors here and ultrasound people for obstetrics are phenomenal.

They never call back no matter how many times you call. Poor quality, poor patient service and complete disregard to the patient.

Could never get in contact with the office. Left many messages no one calls back or forwards messages when left even when URGENT. Didn’t feel like my life mattered. A letter has been sent to the administration board of this hospital.
