I just stopped by, lets start by saying noone greeted me so I stayed at the door waiting to be assisted. When I finally was by a person that seems to work there but was not friendly, she said she would check availability for what I wanted which was a hair dry. The stylist who was on the phone while working on someones hair ( the only client in the salon) asked me what did I want, his assistant told him and without checking the calendar or even looking for an option said in rude tone we are fully booked , we cant do hair dry .The assistant insisted and he rudely answered, well Monday. I have a business of my own and believe that if you can treat people with kindness and respect you should not be in the service industry. A hair salon should be welcoming and relaxing, the environment in this place was hostile and grotesque.

Phillipe has fair and competitive pricing and he is no nonsense. no talk of doing crazy things to my hair. asked me what i wanted, we discussed the best course of action and then he gave me a fantastic cut in about 20 min.Highly recommend dry cuts now. He was able to actually see my hairs texture and shape it in a way that works with my frizz without being poofy.

I’ve gotten extensions from here twice... the first time I got them I literally lost almost all of my real hair and he still recommended the extensions the second time saying “wigs are so last year”.. so I agreed to get the extensions again.. the second time I was overcharged. I was asked to pay $1850 for 4 bundles to be installed in my hair.. Yair left to get on a plane & Had his assistant do my hair. I was there for 7 hours because he kept skipping over me.. AFTER I had already paid $1850!!!! I went back today because after 1 month I had already lost over 20 hair extensions. The hair extensions aren’t applied properly & Yair the owner was very disrespectful about it &&& kept blaming me for the way my hair was. DO NOT GET KERATIN EXTENSIONS DONE HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO END UP BALD. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS SALON, I WILL NEVER RETURN,UPDATE: i was never happy with my extensions the second time. I even expressed my unhappiness because they charged me for the hair I didn’t even use!!! Since December 1st 2019 I have lost almost every extension in my hair and if my hair wasn’t the right type for the extensions then the owner shouldn’t have recommended them twice and overcharged me for something that would not last and leave me with BALD SPOTS ALL OVER MY HEAD! GET A LACE FRONT, BEADED EXTENSIONS OR ANYTHING ELSE OTHER THAN WHAT HE OFFERS BECAUSE IT WILL ONLY LEAVE YOU WITH THIN HAIR TO NO HAIR AT ALL..

Love this salon! I fly to Miami a couple times a year just to get a cut, style and most amazing highlights! I have been following Yair since his early days on Florida when he first began this amazing career in South Florida. If only I could still live closer. I wanted to share my recent experience at YSV salon hoping to save the next client from having the horrible experience that I did. I went to have my hair colored only to have my hair completely ruined and burned.Ive had my hair colored many times and never had been treated this way. Ideally, Yair would have told me at the beginning he could not do what I asked him to. He was clearly not qualified to do this type of treatment.Whats worse though, was when I told him I can’t imagine paying for what he did (because now I have to pay to get it fixed and clearly don’t trust his ability to do this) he insisted that my now greenish dark hair looked beautiful and this is the best based on what I asked for.At this point I was on the verge of tears and he became extremely rude yelling at me and my girlfriend making us feel so uncomfortable. I went somewhere else to get it fixed and cant wait to show him what normal color looks like. He still charged me $200 for “supplies” and continued to be rude without acknowledging his mistake. I wouldn’t wish for my worst enemy to be treated this way.

I absolutely love this salon! I have been coming here for almost two years now and I wouldn’t go anywhere else. Tiago and Felipe are FANTASTIC hair stylists. I have done color, keratin, gloss, hair cut and blow dry and every time they get it right! Yair, the owner and is also amazing and Andra and Annie best nail technicians ever! Plus is very conveniently located, valet parking is free, the atmosphere is really great and they use only high quality products . Highly recommend this salon. This was the hair appointment from hell. If youve never heard of being screamed at as a customer, strap in.I was visiting my friend who is based in Miami. Her hair is naturally dark brown and had previous baliage that went from blonde to orange. She wanted it color corrected, did the research, and settled on working with Yair.I walked in with her for the first 30 minutes of the appointment. She has had a few bad experiences trying to find a new colorist after he moved, so she made it really clear that she didnt like the way she looked with dark hair. They even broke down discussing the specific tone of blonde she wanted it lifted to (honey, if that matters) because she hates the ashy blonde streaked look. Once they were done with the back and forth discussion and started, I decide to head out.....cut to 4.5 hours later, she asked me to come back. Yair was about 3/4 done with the process, but she was getting really nervous and wanted my assurance it wasnt going south. Well, it was.After all was said and done, and he dried the front of her hair, it was...wait for it.....predominantly dark dark brown with vague ash blonde streaks and what Ill describe as skunk stripe bangs. Basically, it looked trashy.My friend expressed her displeasure with the way it turned out, and was hoping they could negotiate how to fix it. Stressful? Sure. Heck, for both parties, considering how much time he took. But mistakes happen. However, we could not have anticipated Yairs reaction. He went from 0 to 60 in a matter of minutes. For the next hour it was a roller coaster ride of emotions.He literally started yelling she was wrong, nobody could do what was asked. There was no talking him down. When I asked him to stop screaming, he literally said he would not because we were crazy for not realizing how talented he was. It was like attempting to communicate with a 190 pound toddler.Since there was no way to speak rationally with Yair, we asked the police to be called. In order to get him to stop ranting, I finally resorted to pulling out my phone and told him Id record him. That finally got him to quiet the unstable freak out. Even the cop that showed up told him hed have to ask him to step out if he had to tell him a 5th time to quit interrupting.Laws being what they are, the kind police officer let us know we would have to pay and then take it up in court. He helped us negotiate it down, because he even saw what a mess it was, but it was still an egregious $200 for a total muck up.Yair tried to claim we were trying to swindle him, except my friend gladly paid $360 the next day to fix his disaster. Somehow, despite what he claimed, they were able to give her exactly what she requested.And in case youre wondering if were nightmare customers, you can see literally 100% of my other reviews are positive. I dont like to negatively affect businesses on what is potentially a one off bad experience. This was just too awful not to share, and in case anyone wants the photographic evidence to show were not bananas, my friend will also be sharing her experience with photos.So long story short...dont go there unless you want to be talked down to. Hes the star of some show going on in his head, and god forbid you question his talent. Yikes.

I was born and raised in Miami, left for 10 years and recently returned. I came home to find a Miami that had grown up and felt discouraged on the hair salon front when I moved into the design district and had found people who didn’t quite get my hair. My hair is thick, wavy / curly, porous and long. It has great potential but I struggled to figure out how to capture that in our Miami weather after seeing what it could look like in colder , dryer weather states.I walked into YSV after seeing a fabulous rating and sat down for my appointment. Yair flipped our appointment on its head. You might expect to walk in and be asked what you want and how you want it. Yair sat me down and asked me if he could tell me what he saw and I could take it or leave it. His intuition in his art became apparent to me immediately and he was so wonderful in delivery and accepting of my feedback that I felt comfortable. Not only was my cut , very LIGHT coloring (I never had touched my hair and he was so right, it looks great!) and my espresso fabulous ... I might just come in for his hair wash more often. His scalp massage took me into another realm which I so easily walked into. Felipe actually did my hair drying and styling and he is an expert - wow !! Quick, gently and correctly done. He didn’t cut corners and his hands / ways of working proved what a professional he was.Book an appointment with Yair if only to finally get an artist to stand in front of you and tell you objectively what would look good! Yair and Felipe are a dream team!! 5 STARS!!

Yair my hairdresser at YSV hair salon and spa does NOT compare to any other salon in the 305. The service here is so convient at Quantum On The Bay. Not only is the valet free but when you arrive you are treated with coffee and wine. They have impeccable products and VIP customer care. This luxurious spa is a great place especially for the women. You can have your nails, eyelashes, facial, eyebrows, haircut and color done at the same place. To me it doesnt get anymore convenient than this. Ive been to MANY salons all over MIA that offer the same services but will never compare to YSV until you meet and sit with Yair. He takes hairdressing to a whole nother level, with passion and care. Yairs talent you can not find at any other salon. Ladies and Gentlemen you have to come see Yair at his salon and spa. He will make sure you leave looking and feeling fabulous.
