I was lucky enough to have Edgar bless my hair the other day! He did a gorgeous balayage and cut that Im absolutely in love with. We were on the same wavelength right away and he worked with my natural hair color to achieve the beautifully blended look I was hoping for. He is such a doll of a human being! Friendly staff, but unsatisfied with the haircut. The fade is uneven, and the cut is worst than the ones I get at any barbershops. For $50, the result looks like a buzzcut from Supercuts. 😔Location is convenient if you live in Coconut Grove and some of the staff speaks French. COVID-19 protocols are followed 🙌.

Extremely unprofessional place. I booked a coloring and when I got there they sat me down, cut my hair and then when they were ready to color, they didn’t have the proper equipment to do so. They wasted my time. I will not be returning, and I do not recommend going here for any services.

My best friend recommended Jamal for a blow out, I was always asking her how her hair looked so shiny and healthy! Now I see why, Jamal is amazing! Extremely thorough while washing your hair and does such a fabulous job blow drying as well. I love coming here when I need time to myself, Jamal is the sweetest! Jamal, my go to guy, left but I still decided to get my cut here and to me, sadly, it just wasnt the same. I showed a picture of an edgy looking cut with below the eyes bangs and expressly said to *not* do the bangs, just have them as a layer down to my chin (as keeping bangs in Miami weather is a pain), and the next thing I know, snip, right by my nose. The rest of the cut is pretty in a classic way, but I was looking for choppy and edgy, which is what Jamal was great at.Im not giving less starts because it wasnt a bad haircut per-sé, and they are actually really good at this place, but it was just not quite what I wanted.At least, like I always say, hair grows back before you know it. Berets in the meantime.Update: they called me and told me to come in for a wash and style to get it more to my liking and were very nice and professional; so as I say, theyre a very good place and worth a shot, I just do suffer from changing stylists!

Hisham did a wonder job on my hair color. I often encounter stylists who don’t understand my hair type, but he was extremely knowledgeable and gave me a few tips to better manage my frizz. My color looks so natural while he focused on keeping my hair healthy and frizz free.

Just went for a kerratin treatment last week, month 6 of Covid 19. Everyone was friendly. The salon is impeccably clean and they have a strict protocol when you enter, covering your shoes, spraying your hands, and requiring that you wear a mask, of course. This was reassuring. Hisham took his time on my hair and I was very happy. I will certainly go back.

Whenever I need a pick me up I get my hair blowdried with Jamal. The humidity in Miami so no match to his blow dryer. Appointments are easy to schedule on their website.

They took me on the spot no problem and oh my god I will NEVER go anywhere again. Jamal is truly talented at his craft. My hair is long and very think and not easy to deal with. He is quick, detail oriented and a sweetheart. He has become my hair stylist, friend and family. I am beyond happy with the over all service and experience here. 10/10 would recommend!

I recently had a haircut with Carlos and was very disappointed with the result. He did not listen to what I wanted and decided to go with what he thought was best.I warned him as soon as I sat in the chair that I have severe cowlicks that really stand out when my hair is cut too short. I also told him I only wanted 1 - 1 1/2 of length cut in the front but he went to 2. He barely used scissors and almost cut me twice with dull electric clippers.Even the receptionist seemed to notice I was not pleased as she tried to reassure me that Carlos was doing very well and that it looked artsy. Keep in mind I just wanted a simple clean-up and fade...I give this 3 stars because I often go to H by H and Im well taken care of. However, this experience was very disappointing. There is nothing more frustrating than a stylist who wont listen to directions.Overall, this experience was not worth $40. I could have been much happier with the result of a $20 cut at The Spot in the Gables.

Hisham is absolutely amazing at his craft. My hair and makeup on my wedding day were better than I could have ever dreamed of. Being a “destination” wedding (6 hours from home), I was very concerned about just picking someone for such an important day so I decided to test out Hisham’s skills by having him color my hair (highlight root touch ups) for the 8ish months leading up to my wedding. In this time we also played around with some wedding style ideas and did my actual hair and makeup trial. The trial was amazing; I got so many complements at the kids birthday party I went to afterwards that I knew I had picked the right place. My final hair coloring was the DAY BEFORE my wedding due to my own schedule leading up to the big day, but I had no doubt everything would turn out perfect given Hisham’s skills. The day of the wedding, Hisham did an unbelievable job; he took all of the feedback from how I felt from the trial and turned it into the absolute perfect look. He also stayed within the time frame he told me which is critical for a wedding day timeline! I can’t wait to visit again for my next root touch-up (yes – I will be driving the 6 hours for my hair) and would absolutely use for any future hair/makeup needs!

The perfect spot for a keratin treatment. They have a new hairdresser and she is amazing at performing the treatment. It takes skill and experience to do it so light, eliminate the frizz without weighing the hair down. Great location, easy parking (lot) and friendly staff. Place is a little tired but the staffs smiles and attitude make up for it. If looking for a good, reasonably pri ed keratin treatment, give them a try!

I always have a great experience at Hair by Hisham. My nail technician always treats me with great care when I do the gel manicure. I also did the Organic Moroccan Pedicure which left my feet and legs so soft and felt as if I was walking in clouds. This is my second time at the Salon, but my first getting a Rezo Cut from William Laurel. I had some expectations because he has a strong following on his personal profile, so I was somewhat excited and scared about doing a big chop after transitioning for 18 months. I have to admit, my expectations were met far beyond words !!! Not only did he manage to explain the step by step process, did a cut that was perfect for my current curl pattern, framing it beautifully, but also took the time to explain how I should style the cut at home, with the correct products and technique! I am in love with the result and already booked my next trim with him. The salon is clean and vibrant (almost always packed!), the staff is super kind, and Alain was also sweet enough to send me texts as reminders of my appointment and about changes in the scheduling. Definitely a great experience, cant wait to return!!!

I moved to Miami a while ago and Ive been trying to find a stylist I feel comfortable with. Ive done my research, believe me... So I found Hair by Hisham, the place had great reviews, a lot of those reviews mentioned Carlos. So, I scheduled my appointment with him... I loved every part of the process. He greeted me kindly, listened to what I wanted, a light brown balayage, subtle but noticeable (I know...) and he got it so right! I love what he did with my hair color. Another thing is he gives you your space, he chats but hes not that chatty hairdresser I tend to run away from. Thank you Carlos! Im coming back for sure.

Carlos has been styling my hair for about 5 years and he is absolutely the best. I have very difficult hair and he always transforms it to something beautful. I called Hair by Hisham to get info on getting balayage done for the first time. The person on the phone was incredibly nice and immediately made me feel comfortable. He was able to give me an appointment right away and said he would set me up with Hisham, which I thought was really nice. When I got there, Hisham knew exactly what I wanted and got right to work. My hair came out great, much more than what I could have ever asked for! It looks really natural and very healthy. My biggest concern was possible damage to my hair or going too light which he completely understood. It was a great experience overall. I will definitely be back!

I called Hair by Hisham because I literally woke up with blue hair - a home dye box gone very wrong! They are one of the few salons that are open on a Sunday in Miami and I got an appointment right away with Jamal. Jamal was absolutely amazing. He told me not to worry, and that he would take care of me. He did an amazing job. He not only took out the blue color in my hair, he did it without damaging my hair too! My hair looked soft and healthy by the time he was finished. Thank you, Jamal, for saving my locks!!

Jamal is just terrific, he listened and cut my hair with precision as I asked. And the color, wow, finally someone who gave me the color I used to have but for some reason stylists lost the formula and Ive suffered with off-color hair for two years until I found Jamal. The color products they use are excellent. The staff is very friendly and they all seem to really enjoy working together. The salon is also very clean.

I was a walk in so i was expecting a bit of a wait, but luckily they werent too busy. I didnt get the stylists name but he did an excellent job with my hair. It was a very pleasant experience, particularly the shampoo and conditioner wash.

This has got to be the best hair salon in the Miami area. For years Ive gone to a regular small barbershop who would always fail to style my hair as I requested. I decided to wanted to let my hair grow and then style it. I came across Hair By Hisham in Coconut Grove and made an appointment. The experience was awesome the day of my appointment. I was immediately offered something to drink, such as coffee wine or water. Dariel was my stylist who I had the pleasure to meet. I explained to Dariel the hair style I was looking into and he instantly understood me and answered all my questions and concerns. He educated me on the reasons as to why her was using certain clip sizes, why he cut different parts of my hair in different lengths, and how these features would bring out my hair for the style I wish. I was then offered coffee again by Hisham, the owner, and he went next door to the coffee shop, Panther Coffee, and got me the espresso I requested. In the end, I had the hair style I wanted I felt confident with my hair and I was loaded with caffeine 👌🏻 I immediately scheduled another appointment for 2 weeks and I had a great time there. Hair by Hisham is an amazing salon and I saw as all the other customers were happy drinking their wine and having their hair done. Highly recommend this hair salon.

I chose not to brush after dyeing (the hairdresser warned me while washing my hair that I would be charged U $ 50.00 for that), ok, but I could at least dry with the right towel or blow a blow with the dryer, I left the place with dripping hair, it even stained my shirt, and to make matters worse, when I got in my car and looked in the mirror my face, neck and ears were dirty with paint. Total neglect with the customer. Bad experience.Now i month after to answer the owner, she dryed a to small part in the front just to check the color, it was to fast because she was already had care to another client... and i repeat i left the place dripping, i felt cold, i got in the car my clothes were wet and stained in my face, neck and ears were dirty with paint.

I visited Miami for a wedding in December and wanted to get a nice hair updo for the same. Hisham is magnificent at his work, very efficient and has a good sense of humor. I was in and out in 50 mins. Not only did my husband love the hair style I got a lot of compliments at the wedding.

Two words: Vitamin J. Vitamin Jamal, I call him. Why? Because I can go months without him, my hair looks terrible, I lose all luster, and I get sluggish . But one visit to Jamal, and I am myself again. I had someone add some toner and do my roots at home because I was too busy to make an appointment. What a mistake I made. My hair was damaged and I hated the color. I wrote to Jamal and told him what happened. He forgave me for doing at home color, and immediately offered his gracious help. He booked me for a Sunday night, his last appointment. He squeezed me in because he is an amazing person and he care about his clients. I was so relieved and thankful. But I qas even more thankful after he fixed my hair. With the skill and expertise of a scientist, he whipped up a batch of color and highlights, and did my hair with some passion and perfection. When he blowdried it, I saw the gold and the caramel tones and it was blended perfectly. It was heaven. He made my hair look like heaven in less than an hour and he did it with precision. He fixed a bad color job, but he mostly fixed my week, my day, my confidence. He is unlike anyone else in Miami. He is magical.

Hisham cut my hair the other day. My last cut until my wedding day. I was very nervous but turns out I had my first amazing hair cut experience.He was the first stylist to sit down, look me in the eye, and talk to me in detail about what I want...in english...not in hair stylist language. After I communicated what I wanted, he gave suggestions... and by suggestions I mean just that. He did not pressure me at all like some stylists do. I have been thinking about his suggestions (for example light highlights or extensions for the wedding day) ever since and I think theyre great ideas!!I highly recommend this establishment!

For the expensive prices the customer service should A LOT better. The owner Hisham is rude and condescending. The manager Alain and the owner have a weird relationship, that is carried over to the work place. They tend to talk about the clients and even employees in French and Arabic, which is very disrespectful! The owner seems very erratic and belittles those around him, to feel superior. The other hair stylists seem to be nice, but you can tell they come there not because they want to, but need a job. 🤷‍♀️ On the plus side, the salon looks nice. 💅

Ive been going to this salon since 2010. Has only gotten better since Hisham took over! Highly recommended.

Hair by Hisham is a fabulous salon . Our stylist Vanessa is talented and sweet . My daughter and I are there at least once a week for a blow out with Vanessa . She is always accommodating and makes us look beautiful ! Vanessa is a wonderful hair stylist , make up artist and has become a great friend , as well ! I highly recommend Vanessa to anyone who wants to look great !

Very good service here! Very professional and friendly! My hair was seriously damaged by the other salon, super frizzy, worse than dry grass, looked like gonna explode in no minutes. After consulting with Hisham, he recommended me do a touch up keratin, its like a magic! I waited 5 days till I write the comment, now my hair looks shine and healthy! This looks exactly what he told me that after a touch up keratin! Ill only go to this salon from now on as long as Im in South Florida, I dare not to try other salons risking my hair.

Ill admit I was a little apprehensive about going to a salon. Id had the same barber for years and he was the only one I trusted with my hair and beard. But months after he moved out of town my hair and beard had grown to caveman proportions. I finally caved after my sisters continuous prodding and I wasnt dissapointed. I showed them some old pictures and a couple of similar cuts I found on Google. They took the time to nail the look I wanted, same with my beard. Most places wouldve glanced at the picture and rushed me through a quick cut and beard trim. Hisham took the time to get it right the first time. They even washed my hair and shaved my neck to make sure I was ready to go straight from the salon. Now theyre the only place I trust with my hair and beard.

Natalia is the best at what she does and went above and beyond and met my expectations. Also the salons has amazing customer service.

Last week I had my first rëzocut, color and partial highlight done by William Laurel. I found him on IG @hairbycuba, checked out his work and messaged with him a few times regarding what I wanted. He was there to reply nicely everytime!I finally made my appointment and I am writing here to say that it was an AWESOME afternoon!He greeted me as if we knew each other already, went over what I wanted, he assessed the health of my hair, confirmed that it could be done and got to work.A couple of hours later, I had the Most Beautiful set of curls I could have ever imagined!! The color was on point, the highlight were radiant, the cut was more perfect than I had imagined! He styled me with patience and expertise, using top of the line products and I left the Salon feeling like a Super Model!AND he is still there, nicely replying to my messages regarding at home care (FYI he is bilingual)What more can I ask for?Oh and the Salon is beautiful, clean and with friendly staff, plus easy parking by CocoWalk.

I finally found the answer to my mixed chicks-type hair! After years of struggling with my ethnic curls I am happy to share that Carlos Collazo, at Hair by Hisham saved me! Turns out, a great haircut (done by a true professional that understands how different multi-racial curls can be from person to person) focusing on precise shaping of my curls, and now I LOVE my hair! It looks better than it ever did and I spend less time on it and I am not all tangled up in hairsprays and gels to keep it looking great, so it feels soft every day. I asked the Lifestyle Editor at Brickell Magazine and Key Biscayne Magazines in Miami (where I work) where I go for my type of hair and they knew immediately...Go see Carlos at Hair by Hisham.Oh, and the color... The hair salon I was going to for years moved too far from where I lived so I was forced to look for another replacement hair salon. I came across Hair by Hisham and decided to go there after reading the great reviews. I walked in with platinum blond highlighted hair. I specifically asked for a “few” low lights and touch up on my roots. I even brought a picture of the low lights I wanted. I Paid $300+ to have them ruin my hair. The “expert colorist” dyed all my hair DARK brown and later tried to convince me of how beautiful it looked. All my highlights- gone, my blonde hair- gone and replaced with a chocolate brown tone! For anyone that has or has had blonde highlights- you know it takes years and sometimes thousands of dollars to get the right shade of blonde if your hair is naturally dark brown. I went running back to my prior salon to try and fix the train wreck this place made with my hair. They couldn’t believe what they were looking at. I can’t begin to describe how upset I am, needlessly to say I will never, ever go come here again. Warning! Please stay away from this salon if you need to color your hair, they will ruin your hair with a smile. Lesson learned; don’t trust google reviews or hair salons that don’t have before and after pictures. Also, equally upsetting was the fact that the owner knew I was new, that I came in with blond hair and didn’t bother to ask if everything was okay after seeing my hair dark brown or if I was satisfied with the color, which most professional hair salon owners do. This is the worst experience I have ever had in my life. My colleagues at work were shocked when I came into work today. Everybody confirmed how bad it was!

I looked for YEARS for a good stylist in Miami....Hisham is FANTASTIC and if I did not move away I wold use him forever :))

I had to pay twice for my haircut. I went there last week, thursday or friday, and asked for the usual: #2 clipper all over. Hector insisted that he would do #2 on sides and back and would instead sculpt the top with scissors. If I didnt like the result, he said, I could come back and hed fix it. All weekend people were asking me Whats wrong with your hair? I said Bad haircut. Today I went back, and Hector wasnt there. Jesus was appointed to fix it. He did a good job, #2 all over. He also re-did the back and sides and whatnot. I asked if I owed anything and I was asked for $35, in addition to $40 last week, plus 2x tips of 10, this is a $95 haircut:#2 all over!1 month later.After I posted the above, Alan, the manager started leaving messages nfor me to please return to the store, and he would take care of the problem. Today I did. I got a free haircut. Looks fantastic.Everybody makes mistakes; but not everybody knows how to fix them. This store does; and they go out of their way to please the customer. I plan to go back there for another 20 years! Thanks guys!

I am thrilled with the cut and style I got with Hisham, he listened and gave me exactly what I wanted.
