I found Dr. Shifeng by miracle, after having had a couple of epidural injections on my lower back which did nothing for my pain.Now I have had 3 sessions with Dr Shifeng already and the pain has dropped from 8 to 2 and, I really believe that with 3 more sessions the pain will disappear.She’s amazing! I would like to share my experience with Dr. Shifeng Yan. I went to see her about my chronic back pain, plantar fasciitis and a constant neck pain. Dr. Yan patiently listened to my complaints and then examined me. She not only treated me with deep tissue massage, cupping and acupuncture, but also gave me solid advice on my posture, healthy eating, proper foot ware and good sleeping position. My neck pain is at a bare minimum and my low back pain is so much better that I can finally do certain activities that I have not been able to for a long time. I am really impressed by her expansive knowledge and her healing touch. My only regret is that I didn’t go to her sooner.

I have been seeing Dr. Yan for 4 months so far about once every 1-2 weeks. I originally came because of neck pain but I have continued to come because overall I feel more balance mentally and physically. Not only is it acupuncture but she has given me great nutrition, behavioral and emotional advice. She is very professional but I have also personally connected with her, sharing some of the medical issues I have been dealing with lately. Since seeing her, my digestion problems have improved, I feel more mental balanced and it has completely changed the inflammation in my body. I used to take Advil all day during my period and she has made the pain manageable. I took 1 Advil the entire time last month. I was amazed that I didnt need to take it all day. I had been treated by an Orthopedic physician prior to my visit to Shifen Yan, he administered two injections in a period of two plus months but never took the pain away. Previously, I was experiencing bad sleep for over a year. I could not sleep for more than 5 hours. Every night, even if I was exhausted, I would not be able to sleep more than around 5 hours. After three weeks of treatment at the clinic, I started sleeping 6 to 7 hours each night. This has been so helpful for my energy levels and mood.In addition，mornings were especially tough as I had thick mucus upon waking. I first visited Dr. Yans office about two months ago. She gave a thorough examination including tongue evaluation and a detailed interview. She was friendly and knowledgeable. I have been to other acupuncturists who simply stick a few needles in you and come back in half an hour to remove them and send you on your way. Dr. Yan isnt like that. I have been dealing with digestion problems for over a year and have tired every thing out there. I saw Dr. Shi Feng Yan and after only two sessions I am already seeing huge improvements in my digestion and pain levels! I highly recommend seeing her!

I have respiratory issues for years. Because of a sinus infection I had around last Thanksgiving which caused post nasal drip and leads to chronic cough, I was coughing for over 2 months. I’ve taken antibiotics and prednisone prescribed by my primary and pulmonologist for a period of time and no avail.I was in Miami by chance and a family member referred me to see Dr. ShifengYan. I could only do one visit since I was scheduled to leave the next day.I had acupuncture treatment from Dr. Yan and also given 11 days of Chinese medicine to take with me. She also told me to avoid certain foods that can aggravate my sickness. The acupuncture treatment was not painful when given by her (considering I’m a nervous wreck when it comes to any needle). I recently decided to try Accupuncture after nothing else worked. About a year ago I had a respiratory infection, from that I developed a hyper sensitivity to strong smells and from that an inter coastal neuritis. I would get a pain on a specific spot on my rib cage.I have always been hesitant to try acupuncture because of the needles and anxiety. Dr Yan was extremely nice from the moment she said hello, she was very tentative and gentle. She explained how the pain could be coming from different points on my back and neck, which funny enough had always always hurt. In the past I have done multiple sessions and time with chiropractors without results.After two sessions the pain on my neck was gone 90%, my back pain gone 75%. My chest pain has been reduced by 50%. We continue to work on the areas to further improve and continue healing. If you have never try acupuncture, the needles really don’t hurt! Dr. Yan spends about 2 hours where you get to really relax and destress.

I went to see Dr. Shifeng Yan looking for help for my severe back pain (this was after seeing an Orthopedic Doctor and taking his medications for two weeks). My back pain is chronic and recurrent since I have three herniated disks; in the past, I had also tried physical therapy unsuccessfully. At the time of my visit, I was experiencing some recent digestive issues (possibly caused by the backpain medication). From the beginning, I noticed the professionalism and care with which Dr. Yan patiently listens to you when you tell her about your health issues. She is very honest when explaining the treatment and possible results of that treatment (in my case “the long-term nerve damage is possibly irreversible”). Right after my first visit and a week of taking her natural Chinese medications, my back pain improved noticeably, my digestive issues were gone, and I felt much better in general. I’m on my third visit now and improving along. I honestly recommend Dr. Shifeng Yan to anyone if they want to try to improve their health with a natural, holistic and professional approach.

I typically visit Dr. Yan at her Kendall office, but recently visited her Coral Way office, and it is as nice as the other one: clean and professional environment. I have known Dr Yan for over a year now. I originally came to her with an excruciating pain in my neck and lower back, and also with lots of anxiety issues. I started feeling much after just after a couple of sessions. What I love the most about acupuncture and the treatment by Dr Yan - it is all holistic, no pain medication is involved. Iam very happy with Dr Shifeng Yan treatment. I started to see her for my spine pain as i have disc herniation. She was the first one who helped to reduce the pain. The physical therapy with another provider didnt work. I also visit her for my arm pain an I see great improvement just after a few seances. I strongly recommend Dr Yan!

There are not enough amazing things that I can say about Dr. Yan and Dr. Han. They have two locations. One office is located in Kendall and the other down Coral Way. Both offices are very neat, very clean, and very easy to locate.I came into their office for the first time at 15 weeks pregnant battling severe anxiety, fear, and an uncontrollable urge to cry. I couldn’t eat, could barely keep any small meals down, and was also struggling with diarrhea. Needless to say, I was a mess and was very nervous about how all of this would affect my growing baby. Dr. Yan has made me feel welcome, safe, and right at home from the very first day. At my first visit she talked to me about what I was feeling and what she thought could be causing it. We also talked about the points where I would be able to receive acupuncture while keeping the safety of my baby in mind. She even gave me some nutrition pointers that have been life altering! After that, Dr. Han came in and gave me a wonderful and very relaxing massage to help release tension. His hands are magic and I am so grateful for his massages. Then Dr. Yan came back in and treated me with some acupuncture. Although that day I did not feel 100% better, I felt IMMEDIATE relief to all of my symptoms. Today I am 22 weeks pregnant and I am feeling 100% better!!! My baby and I are both happy and healthy. I have been back for treatment every single week since my first visit and will continue to do so until my baby is born.
