Review №1

Doctor John Ishkandar, of East Valley Neurosurgery was the surgeon I had place fusion hardware in my neck to repair two bulging discs, in 2016... I felt, and continue to feel absolutely zero relief from pain that I have dealt with, due to an injury, since early 2001. Doctor Ishkandar met me in recovery, directly after the procedure, and all he kept uttering was how hard it was to perform the operation, due to a lot of scar tissue being present, ad a result of cancer radiation treatments, that I had received prior. The doctor said at that time that is was hard, and he would not want to do that again. In the beginning of 2021, I began feeling major discomfort from the area where the hardware is presently located.. It, as of March has been so uncomfortable that it has caused my speech quality to deteriorate to a point, where nobody can understand me at least 85% of the time.. When I am seated, and lean down to the right to tie my shoes, or simply retrieve something from the ground, I become lightheaded, dizzy, and pass out. The hardware also rubs so hard against my throat, that it hurts very bad pain, and makes me cough, spIt out, or just simply stop breathing. I can feel the metal imprint of the hardware pushing against my throat, from the inside, out. I went to see Doctor Ishkandar in March of this year. Doctor Ishkandar said the X-ray shows the hardware is correctly placed, but he had no explanation why the hardware was rubbing my neck, making me pass out, or hurt as bad as it does. He told me the discs are healed, so there really is no reason for the hardware to remain in my throat, and that he would remove it. He wanted me to see an E.N.T. surgeon first. He said he has to have help to get to the hardware to removed. Due to the scar tissue being so prevalent, and his fear of the dysphagia getting worse doctor Glen. Rothman, who walked in the room when I went to see him, did not shake my hand, or make any eye contact whatsoever. Put a tongue depressive in my mouth, sat back and Sid he did not think surgery at this time would be advantageous, whattt??? I called doctor Ishkandar,on 06/03/2021, and was basically told by a receptionist, that the doctor wanted nothing further to do with me. The Pompous E.N.T. surgeons name who basically tanked all my hopes at hardware removal by putting a tongue depressive in my mouth, and new nothing furthers name Is Doctor Glen Rothman, and boy is he is a piece of work, as well. Check my review on Doctor Glen Rothmans website for that review. I need the hardware removed, and nobody will help me, my quality of life, and the life I have remaining with my family is by no means over. Doctor Ishkandar placed the hardware, says there is absolutely no reason for it to remain there, but will not remove it. Whatttt??? Is this a prank, where is Ashton, come on, I must be being Punked. I want the hardware out, and even I demand it be removed, I cant have it removed? Due completely to what I feel are two inept physicians, who in my mind may need to have their license eligibility revisited.I I could rate lower then one star, guess what the rating would be. Both doctors act like they are the bees knees, when in actuality they are not even the alligators armpits. Thank You

I went for tingling in my hands. Had surgery woke up with no use of my left side. Dr Iskander walked in my room said I didn’t do this to you and walked out. Next day I was transferred to a nursing home for rehab he cancelled my 2 week follow up next appointment said didn’t know what happened maybe pseudopsematic. Never looked me in the eye. Discharged me from care while still in care center nothing he could do

Have been going here for a number of Years. Dr.Andalkar is the most professional and skilled neurosurgeon I have had the pleasure of taking care of me. Never rushed and he explains every detail of each surgery I have had. If the military surgeons or the VA could only be this good. 5 star service from the office staff as well. Thank You all for taking care of me.

As a high risk patient Dr. Andlakar was very patient, kind, and treated me with the most up respect. He treated my friends and family with the utmost respect as well. Dr. Andlakar has gone above and beyond as far as I am concerned.

Unfortunately this review is not based on a doctor interaction, the reason being is that the staff over the phone dont seem to know what they are doing. My wife had scheduled an appointment right before the start of the year and was told the 19th was the soonest she could get in, understandably. She was told that they needed time to get in contact with the place we had her MRI done. That brings us to the Monday before her appointment when the office called her and informed her that the appointment was no longer available and asked if she would be willing to reschedule for the Thursday before, we did even though it was difficult to reschedule the time off of work. Wednesday night we get a call to inform us that the appointment again had to be rescheduled, this time to the 26th. We took that appointment because we figured it can be difficult to make appointments everywhere you go. We got another call last night thankfully verifying this appointment, but there was a problem. They told us that we needed to bring in the MRI when we came in. My wife told the lady on the phone that we were told it would be taken care of by the office, she then told my wife that they would call and see if they could get them and that she would call back as soon as she could, we never received a call last night. My wife called first thing this morning to see what was going on and was told that the MRI place would be having them delivered first thing. My wife felt like something was not right about the situation and decided to call on her lunch break only to find out that they did not expect to get the results in time for her appointment. They wanted us to reschedule again but at this point we just gave up.
