I was there today and had an Intake from Melissa and she was so friendly and helpful and very nice to me today abd deeply showed me around the facility and told me all about everything and cant wait to get started there at the facility and see how it helps me out ok

I’ve had fun at Star and the staff is very helpful

I have not been here but have heard from clients and staff at my clinic, that Star is a good day program for people with mental health issues and diagnosed as smi to attend and they treat you really well.I have heard they go on outings and have been to Sedona.I was wanting to go a couple of years ago but was denied access to them because I was living in a 24 hour group home and was told that I was a great fit and would have been accepted if I was living in a lower level of care.Barely a few months after, I got into a 16 hour apartment setting and forgot about them.Im now living completely independent and live with my boyfriend.A friend of my boyfriends, who goes to his clinic, asked if we were attending star in Mesa, and he told her no. He asked me later if he knew anything about it, not even sure what it was.I told him its a day program and I was interested in attending, remembering what great things had been said about it and asked him to get a referral to to them at his clinic and I was going to ask mine.His name is David and he was just accepted and offered a tour. My case manager is very insufficient and is not helping me get in. It took him a couple of days to get the referral in and he was accepted within less than a week. I had asked 2 weeks prior to him, and just got my referral in because of case management being lazy.Im really wanting to attend. So I bet they are great.
