I scheduled an appointment over the phone and reviewed the COVID mitigation strategies ahead of time to make sure I knew how to respectfully comply with their procedures. Not once did anyone mention to me that I couldn’t have someone else with me at the time of my appointment. As a single mom, I don’t have the luxury of leaving my toddler home alone, but had someone told me this expectation ahead of time, I could have planned accordingly. As a result of their poor communication, I wasn’t aware of this ahead of time and had my three year old with me upon arriving at the office. As soon as I opened the front door, a nurse began yelling at me how I couldn’t have my daughter with me. I hadn’t even stepped one foot inside the door and was screamed at like I was an animal. I then called the office from my car to reschedule my appointment, and the wait time was 45 minutes. So I walked me and my daughter inside to reschedule (no one thought that was a problem), and then their availability was not convenient for me whatsoever. This whole experience led me to choose a new endocrinologist, and I honestly think it was the best thing that could have happened. My new provider is more professional, more communicative, and more respectful. I wouldn’t recommend Valley Endocrine to my worst enemy.

I give them 3 stars because the providers are great. HOWEVER, it is so hard to get a hold of them on the phone. It is always easier to just walk in and make an appt. Otherwise, it is really tough to get a hold of them. Phone service is always spotty. Staff seems to be getting better. Their MAs are awesome and front office is hit and miss. Once the front office staff had a spat with her significant other right in the office. Made for an interesting Tuesday.

Dont waste your time at this practice. They are low rated for a reason. I only saw Dr. Shadmany once for about 10sec. His NP Erin is nice but incredibly disorganized and was unprepared at each visit. I never had a physical exam. I had to wait a month each time for lab results and during follow ups it didnt seem like she had reviewed them until she got in the room, and then would start to repeat herself about previous lab work making several mistakes, as if she was confusing me with another patient, or just having no clue what my results were. They have no interest in figuring out what the cause of my issues are. They base thier practice off of WNL lab parameters instead of optimal levels on tests and physical presentation. I will be going to a new endocrinologist.

Been to this office about 6 times, they always get me in in a timely manner, and take my blood while I am there whenever possible so I dont have to make a return visit. Sabrina, Dr. Alamirs assistant is who I see every time and she is so friendly, personable, and willing to listen every time she sees me. The phlebotomists are great! They never have to try to hit my vain twice (unlike all the other places I go to). Thanks for the great service!

Despite my multiple phone calls, messages and portal emails requesting to speak with Dr. Brard and the office manager I have not heard back from anyone. So I want to share my experience and advise anyone against being seen in this office.I recently decided to no longer be seen by Dr. Brard after being a patient of his for the past 3 years. I was referred to his office by my OB/GYN to handle my hypothyroidism and apparent hashimotos.I was having some off symptoms so I called the office to speak with Dr. Brard. To no surprise my message was not received so I had to call again and force my message upon someone. The female on the phone said she would put in a request to have Dr. Brard approve some bloodwork and go from there. I was told to stop by the office shortly after that and have labs drawn. My results came back very quickly so I called the next day to get an appointment scheduled knowing they book out quickly. I was scheduled for an appointment the following week to discuss the results. As I always have the past 3 years I showed up to my appointment with my two children, the females at the front desk as they always are were so “pleasant and welcoming” and checked me in. After sitting in the lobby for about 10 minutes my youngest had to use the restroom as we stood up she noticed the children and at that moment I was asked to leave. The conversation included lines like “we don’t allow children under the age of 13 in the office” “it’s not a new policy” “what would you like to do, we normally don’t even allow people with kids to even walk in the door” One female employee even had the fabulous idea to suggest “Can you have them wait outside in the car” It was 85° and that is illegal!!! I am a stay at home mom and my husband works 12+ hour days there was no rescheduling as I will alway have at least one child. I am unsure why on that date after 3 years, when I was feeling my worst they decided to refuse me care. Let’s not forget all the times my kids had already been in that office including the previous week when I came in for my blood draw and the actual kind females that work the lab gave my kids stickers.I had been unsatisfied with the care I was receiving before this but finding a new dr, getting labs drawn and new prescriptions filled is a lot of work so I stayed way longer than I should have. The staff at this office is just horrible to say it politely. The patients that come in there are mostly elderly and I hurt for them. The staff has zero regard for them as human beings, they don’t enjoy their job or helping from a medical stand point it is all just a paycheck. I so very highly advise against being seen in this office.

I went to the Tempe office a few weeks ago, which was a good experience. I had scheduled a follow-up appointment at the Tempe office, however my blood work came in sooner than expected. I called the office and asked if they had an earlier appointment available. The rep said they did and scheduled me for next-day at the Mesa office.Day-of I show up in Mesa. Not only was the receptionist (Jennifer) rude, but she also claimed that I did not have an appointment today and that Dr. Alamir would not be able to see me. I asked to speak with a supervisor.Several minutes later, Jennifer informed me that an NP would be able to see me.With all of my blood work results in hand, the NP looked everything over and said everything was normal and because of that, they could not do anything further for me and didnt know how they could help.I definitely do not feel normal, something is definitely wrong. And I keep getting told by Dr. after Dr. that my ranges are normal and everything is fine.

This practice discriminates against single mothers. After speaking with the front desk three times via phone before appointment, reviewing their website, signing their policy page in their new patient paperwork, reading all postings on doors and windows before entering, they refused to check me in because I was accompanied by my two very well behaved children. Front desk stated that its policy to not allow anyone under age 13 and that they wished someone would have told me. They were unwilling to speak with the doctor to see if an exception could be made and instead asked me repeatedly if there was anyone who could watch my children for me since they won’t allow for me to receive care with my children present.

Review №38

In all my 57 years I have never walked out of a doctors office, let alone an appointment, but I did today. I had an issue once before with the staff at this office. My appointment was made for 9:30 a.m. and an appointment card was handed to me with that time on it. I got caught in traffic and called to say I would be about 5-10 minutes late when the girl who answered the phone rudely told me that my appointment was at 8:30 a.m. and I would not be seen, I explained to her what my appointment card said and she argued with me that I must have written the time down wrong. I told her I did not fill out the card, that the female sitting off to the left of the large window as you walk in did. She rescheduled my appointment for the next morning and I took the appointment card in to prove it was not me. I got no apology or nothing. For me this was strike one. Today, June 26, 2018 was strike 2 and I am done. This office requires that all patients be on time for their appointments, yet they do nothing and I mean NOTHING about the doctor being late or running behind. My appointment was for 9:00 a.m. today, June 26, 2018. I checked in at 8:15 a.m. because I drive over an hour to get to the office. I was taken back to room 5 by the M.A., she was pleasant, took my vitals, updated my medicine list, said the doctor would be right in to do my ultrasound and go over my lab results. This took about 5 minutes. At 9:30 a.m. I am still sitting in the room without seeing the doctor or anyone else, so I open the door and there is a female in the hall so I ask if they forgot about me; she assures me they did not and asks for my name, I give it to her and she returns within seconds stating to me that Dr. Shadmany is with his P.A. and will be in to see me in 5 minutes. I tell her my husband has to go to work and I cannot wait much longer, she smiles and tells me she understands. At 9:39 a.m. I get up and go use the restroom, still no doctor, so at 9:45 a.m. I tell my husband we are leaving. I go to the front desk, tell the girl to let Dr. Shadmany know to cancel my appointment, the girl proceeds to tell me that I am next in line to be seen, about 5 minutes, to which I tell her that my appointment was at 9:00 a.m. and I have been waiting in that room for 45 minutes with NO ONE coming into explain to me why the delay, why no one has come into do my ultra sound or why no one did not give me the option to reschedule. So I ask the girl at the desk if I was 45 minutes late for my appointment would I be seen? she wont look at me and says that I am next in line so I repeat my question to her and tell her to answer my question, to which she replies I dont know but I tell her that the real answer is NO, I WOULD NOT BE SEEN. I ask her why is it that patients are expected to be on time, but when the doctor is late or running behind they do not inform the patients of this, to which I receive no answer. I then tell her that I will be contacting my primary care doctor and obtaining a new referral for a new Endocrinologist that cares about the patient and the patients time because not EVERYONE can sit in the doctors office all day, we do have lives. This is unacceptable and I know that NO ONE from this office will even contact or reply to any of this because they just dont care. The whole time I sat in that room I could the staff talking about their personal life, laughing, and acting like it was a normal day for them.

If I could give this place negative stars I would. My fiancé, who is type one diabetic, and I went today for an appointment we set up regarding changing the amounts on prescriptions to best fit his needs and to talk about changing delivery methods. We went into the appointment thinking we were actually going to see his preferred endocrinologist, Dr Brard, because we’ve already had issues with one of the other Doctors there. We show up and were told we have the pleasure of meeting with the Doctor from the previous time, Dr. .Great. The last time we came, we submitted important medical documents that we needed the endocrinologist to fill out and fax back for work purposes- never received that paperwork back from her. We called the receptionist four times within that week to follow up and each time we were told it would get taken care of. That never happened. In today’s visit, I initially asked her what had happened with the paperwork and confronted her about her mistake- she denied it and blamed it on us. She then continues to berate and belittle my fiancé for not having done blood work that was never ordered or scheduled to us from the last visit with her. I simply asked if the bloodwork could be done in house and for the next 10 minutes I get told to shut up and let my fiancé ask the questions. As his significant other and as a person who lives with him on a daily basis, I deserve to ask questions and voice my concerns about him. I did not deserve to be shut up and disregarded. Such a vile woman. The “appointment” in total, was 25 minutes. We did not get to discuss the prescriptions and delivery options we came looking for, we did not get to actually go over anything related to his health. The only thing we actually got done was she set up the bloodwork to be done as she was throwing up out of the examination room and then dismissed herself into a back office.Extremely disappointed with the lack of care this office has for their patients and we will be following up with the office manager to get a refund for the “appointment” copay fees. Would highly recommend everyone to use a different Endocrinologist.

If I could give this a minus I would.I have been a patient of this practice for over 23 years, when my Dr. retired I was assigned to Dr. Brard and been his patient for about 2 years. Luckily I have only seen him a few times as he is pompous, arrogant and downright mean. Upon my last visit, I saw Dr Brard and I had my 4 yr old grandson with me. My grandson was looking at magazines and singing some songs to himself. Dr Brard proceeded to get in my grandsons face and start yelling at him stating he had a difficult job and he was not going to tolerate any distractions, causing my grandson to feel fearful. Dr. Brard then turned and started yelling at me saying I had no business bringing my grandson to my appointment. Dr Brard attempted to intimidate, and bully my grandson again. I intervened and expressed my outrage. I was furious at the way he approached my grandson and spoke to me. I would recommend if any of you have ever been intimidated, bullied, or treated less than a person with this Dr. then he does not need to be practicing and interacting with other people. To add insult to injury. I received a certified letter stating his office is discharging me as a patient. I have notified the proper authorities of this unacceptable behavior. Dr Brard needs to understand without patients he has no livelihood and he needs to treat people the way he wants to be treated. 👎👎👎
