Dr Hanke is an amazing doctor. He cares and hes kind!

Dr Hahnke is one of the best! He has the very best bedside manner and is incredible with being able to talk to kids and teens. I highly recommend him. His insight into what his patients are dealing with and his diagnosis and treatment plan was phenomenal!

Weve been to see Dr. Hahnke 3 times. He started out okay, but things have worsened with each appointment. He doesnt listen to what you are telling him and he seems annoyed when you dont agree with everything he is saying. Parents of T1 diabetics have to learn how to manage the disease in between appointments - he was suggesting insulin changes that would have been dangerous for her. The front office staff has always been terrible and rude, and the lack of organization there is ridiculous. They want you to make an appointment for 3 months out, but they dont have any appointments available for almost 5 months. Were moving on hoping to find something better...

Most unreasonable and accommodating staff I have ever had to deal with. I never had a problem with this office till today. Apparently it is a policy if you are more then 5 mins late that they can not see you and have to reschedule. To tell you all I was 11 minutes late because of accident on the freeway. They refused to ask the Dr or the Dr assistant if they could see my kid. When they finally did ask they wouldn’t even try to squeeze my kid in. They said I would have to wait till the end of the day. I was reasonable tell the front office lady start trying to argue with me. But on a side note I’ve been 10 min early to appointments and had to wait 20 min after the scheduled time. So I guess it fair for them to make me wait but under the circumstances I can’t control aka acts of god they refuse to wait for the patient. Very hypocritical and not accommodating.

We. Love. Dr. Hahnke.My daughter has been seeing him since 2010 when she was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at age 8. We have moved to different locations (other states AND countries) during the last 9 years and ALWAYS come back to Dr. Hahnke even if we are only in town to visit family. He is cheerful, sympathetic, and practical, and challenges these kids to do their best and take responsibility for their disease (mom’s not always going to be there). Being a type 1 diabetic myself, I have seen a lot of endocrinologists and WISH I could have had a doctor like him. Too bad he doesn’t see adults! Be early to appointments so that little hiccups don’t make you late. Because he is in such high demand there are pretty rigid policies on lateness and rescheduling, which is completely understandable. Plan to be there 30 minutes early and you won’t have a problem.

We were 8 minutes late because of a problem first on the freeway and then with a bridge closure. The doctor would not see us. The policy (which we were never told) is that he will see no one who is more than 5 minutes late. He did, though, offer to reschedule us 5 months later. Inexcusable.

We absolutely love Dr. Hahnke and his staff! My daughter who is type 1 has been going to him for over a year. She actually looks forward to her appointments. My whole family loves Dr. Hahnke. He goes above and beyond and even helps us when dealing with pump vendors and the insurance company. Hes super poliet, very knowledgeable and also very prompt in returning emails. We couldnt be happier.

Perfect! Friendly staff and Dr. Hahnke goes out of his way for his patients.
