Mom went to ER 10/15/2021 via ambulance and when they called that she was ready to go home, I told them it would take me 30 minutes to get there. I got there and they have Mom sitting outside the building (god knows how long) in a wheel chair unsupervised in her lightweight cotton night gown. She was admitted because she was sick and they have her now sitting outside the building in the elements, It was a cool breezy morning. How Dehumanizing for a 91 year old lady sitting outside for everyone to see her in her nightgown. They didnt even give her a blanket to keep her warm or to cover her up, and mind you shes really ill !!!! SHAME on Banner for treating our seniors like trash.

I would of gave Banner Baywood 5 ⭐ but there was a really rude employee that works in the front, at the information center. She asked for one of us to put our mask on, wich my husband was taking a drink, she started walking around with out hers off too. She made us feel really uncomfortable!! Today is Oct.1,2021 and its 5am and she is working. She shouldnt be working with the public, if she cant handle being at least a little polite

No one enjoys going to the emergency room. Last night, I had to take my mom to get checked out. The staff in the ER department was absolutely amazing! From the moment we checked in, all the way through discharge, the ER staff continued to exhibit professionalism and genuine care for their patients. The nursing staff was knowledgeable and took their time explaining everything in great detail. We truly appreciate you and your hard work! Thank you for all you do!

Brought my husband in to the ER on Sunday afternoon. From admission to ER nurses and ER doctor everyone was accommodating and professional. However, sitting in one of the little rooms was disheartening as it needs a good cleaning. Windows are dirty, dead bugs on floor and a very unsanitary look and feel. Not a good vibe for a hospital.

Each and every single person I interacted with during my overnight stay was absolutely wonderful. I was in a lot of pain and everyone (even the front desk nurses) went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable. I never was left waiting for anything. Getting sick/being hurt really sucks but if I ever need to again, this will be the only ER I’ll be going to from now on.

What a fantastic group of funny, sociable, engaging, staff. Excellent bedside manner from everyone. I cant imagine the hardships in hospitals right now but I spent the morning here getting help for a kidney infection and had the best service. So friendly and caring.I hate to have to recommend a hospital since no one really wants to have to go there, but you cant go wrong in an ER where you laugh and feel cared about.

My mom came to ER at Banner Baywood on an ambulance after a car accident earlier this evening. X ray showed no fracture but she is in a lot of pain. We have been waiting now for 3 hours and she still has not been seen by a doctor, and they wont give her anything for her pain until a doctor sees her. They said they were full. %#%@&%!!! Worst place ever. The triage nurse has no compassion, with leave if you want attitude.. One could die in ER waiting room here. Ridiculous!!!

I was brought into the ER via ambulance after having a grand mal seizure. I had a couple drinks thay night and was immediately seen as a drunkard rather than believing I had a seizure. I wasnt coherent, but due to covid they wouldnt allow anyone in with me. I briefly remember my family calling me on my phone trying to get updates from the nurse as I had zero idea what was happening at the time. I called the nurse using the nurse button several times, I was on the phone with my family and they said it took about 30 minutes before anyone came in once I hit the call button. I needed to use the restroom but couldnt get there myself because I just had a seizure. My wife was calling them several times to try and tell them my medical history with seizures and what medicine I take but no one would speak with her. They took my wrong birthday, rhey kept trying to ask me questions related to billing and I wasnt coherent. Anyone who is a nurse or doctor know patients who have seizures take sometime a couple days to recover. About an hour or so later I was discharged and told to just walk out the ER doors. No wheel chair, no guidance just walk out on my own. I got to what looks like the waiting room where there were staff and they asked if I needed anything, I said I was just told to come out here that was it I didnt even realize I was discharged. I was in a state of fog. Not to mention they did give me lorizepam which makes you sleep and they woke me up from sleeping. They confirmed I was discharged and I then called my wife to pick me up. Apparently she called the hospital and requested they contact before they discharged me so I wouldnt have to wait. I wasnt given any seizure medicine which has always been protocol everytimr Ive had a seizure, I found out later they ran a drug test for unknown reasons, and that was it. This is the worst experience Ive had with a hospital, its almost like they didnt believe i had a seizure even though there were multiple witnesses and I have a history of seizures. I am now dealing with trying to get a copy of my bills that were already submitted to my insuranxe a month ago. I tried calling but got hung up, left voice-mail and nothing. They had my wrong birthday on my bracelet and Im sure they have my wrong address as I was not coherent enough. I keep waiting to grt a call form collections even though this is their fault for not speaking to my wife and thinking an in coherent patient can give them propert information after a grand mal seizure. We will be filing a complaint and taking this matter further.

Wasnt really the best ER experience Ive ever had. I guess it was like putting a plug in a old tire to keep it from leaking.Very limited test to find out my problem. Got 4 low dose aspirin, an inject of what not, an xray and 2 blood test because the first one got messed up somewhere along the line. After 4 hours I was send home with a couple pieces of paper. I did feel better when I was discharged but not much. I believe the ER doctor did not want to take on any responsibility and thats why he referred me back to my cardiologist and MD. Also when I was released my blood pressure reading was sky high. I was told because it was do to the hard bed I was on. HUH ???????? I check it when i got home and my blood pressure was fine. Still confused after that visit but good thing my cardiologist and MD gave me early appointments. Thats it. Take care !!!

Do not expect to be treated with kindness and respect if you or family member has a disability. 9/16/2020, I was there with a family member who is unable to hear. I fully understand covid restrictions, but she had previously been in the same ER and discharged twice in a day, so someone needed to be with her to ensure she knew what was happening and was heard. RN Drew said I couldnt stay and when I asked what accommodations would be used to ensure she was properly cared for, he told me they would speak louder. I explained it hadnt worked the past 2 visits, so that wasnt enough. I started speaking louder, as he had suggested that would be a sufficient accommodation and he told me not to raise my voice, completely missing the irony of his statement. When given an option of staying alone and keeping me on speaker phone from the parking lot or leaving, my mother in law opted to leave.Weve already filed a quality of care complaint with the hospital and will also be filing a complaint with the ADA.

I was in the emergency room with my 87 year old Mom about a week ago.The positive energy and amazing teamwork from the Doctor, tech and nurse was phenomenal. We were there for about 8 hours and they treated my Mom with so much dignity and respect. Doctor Patterson had a wonderful bedside manner and Arcelia (tech) is an absolute Rock Star! She went above and beyond in making my Mom feel comfortable. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!!

On January 20, 2020 my mother was rushed to Banner Baywood ER from a Skilled rehab center. When she arrived they couldnt find her DNR which is in her file which they have it. But I had to tell to stop CPR per her DNR to let her pass from gate A19 at the airport in Chicago. Such failure!!!Then when Id think it cant get any worse, Employee initials MC in their morgue released my mothers body to another funeral home. Only after he crossed out the name of the one I authorized. Hospital Chief of Nursing and even the COO of Banner Health (whom my mother knew and grew up with.) took zero responsibility. They didnt even offer to go get my mothers body, I had wait and have the funeral home I hired go her the next day.The lack of compassion and care towards their patients even after death is beyond my understanding and GROSS. People need to be held accountable for this HUGE mistake. The World will know not to use Banner Baywood Medical Center....

I had the worst pain from a bladder infection to nights ago. I was shaking with pain. The staff took their own sweet time, many hours before I was given anything for the pain and was left to hobble to the bathroom alone. I kept ringing my nurse button because I needed but to use the restroom so bad but no one came. I rang it for ten minutes. I totally had to call out h somebody help until the visitor next door heard me and went and got a nurse who just pointed me to the restroom. It was a nightmare. I finally just asked to go home and they discharged me. The doctor was nice and tried to help but the other staff was worthless. When I finally had a moment that my pain wasnt causing me to crunch over, I limped over to the nurse station and one was looking at pictures on the computer, the other two nurses were chatting about no work related stuff. I ran out of there as fast as I could which was pathetic because they didnt do much to help me. Never again.

Mom fell at her memory care home and was taken to E.R. From the minute I walked in until the minute I walked out (3+ hours) I was greeted, assisted, kept informed and treated royally! The E.R. receptionist, nurses, aides, Dr. Zosky, Sarah, Lydia, and another gal whose name escapes me (she bandaged Moms arm, fed us, etc) were so friendly and helpful. I was very impressed!! Thank you all who were with us tonight!!!
