Dr Gottfried is personable, thorough and sincere when it comes pt patient care. I highly recommend her. She has been my Obgyn for at leader a decade !!

Best MD Ive ever had. Shes very comforting, caring, intelligent. I didnt gained much weight when I was pregnant. I was all belly. When she had to turn my son from out of breech position, she explained everything, made sure I was calm, breathing, and relaxed, Whew it def was painful. I didnt feel alone or scared and she really took it easy.I moved away a year after my sons birth. When I came back 8 years later immediately called her for my yearly exam ☺

She is just wonderful!! Very genuine and made me feel so comfortable during my 1st visit. So happy I ended up with her for the rest of my pregnancy! Highly recommend.

I think the Drs are awesome and knowledgeable and they care! However, the front staff is so rude! I wish they did not treat the patients the way that they do. I have thought about changing office because of them!

Dr. Gottfried is very nice and communicative. Even without my medical files from my previous doctor sent, she addressed everything in my medical history that could potentially be points of concern (or, thankfully, unlikely to be issues going forward), and was very reassuring and informative. I learned more about my personal health and future risk from her today than I have in 13 years at my previous practice.

Well I saw the nurse practitioner yesterday. She is very nice and listened to my needs. It was a great conversation.

I have been Dr. Gottfried patient for years, she is really sweet, and caring, she was my OB/Gyn for 2 of my pregnancies. I think she’s amazing. Although I had not seen her in a few years when I came back in to see her she was the same sweet, caring Dr. I like her honesty and that she takes the time to talk to you about any concerns you may have. I highly recommend Dr. Gottfried. She truly admires her patients.

Dr. Gottfried is very thorough and considers every aspect of a womans health. She even diagnosed an enlarged thyroid at an annual well-woman visit and referred me to an endocrinologist to get a biopsy. I have been her for many years. I have been very happy with the care Ive received.

I cant express how amazing this woman is. She delivered all 3 of my babies and I had the best births. And all of the girls at the office are some of my favorite people in the world. Dr. Gottfrieds office really is like a family and I will be a patient as long as she will have me❤️

I have been going to Dr. Gottfried since before my first son was born in 2005. She is sweet personable, straight forward, a very good listener and is always there to make sure youre well taken care of. She always listens to my concerns and help educate me when I get wrong info. She makes sure I get the care I need. She covers all the bases but doesnt go overboard with unnecessary procedures and tests. Her staff is friendly and professional and make sure you get to where you are going. Dr. Gottfried is always expanding the in office services so you dont have to go to multiple places.

Dr Gottfried was an amazing doctor and it was a pleasure to work with her my entire pregnancy. I mistakenly left not the greatest review because I got her mixed up with an old psychiatrist I used to have. I profusely apologize!!!She delivered my gorgeous baby and took care of me at the age of 45 and extremely uncomfortable there at the end of my pregnancy, she was just amazing. I delivered my little one in about 15 minutes and I believe that had a lot to do with Dr Gottfried. Of course I was doing the pushing but with her pulling on him and telling my husband and the nurses what to do made it really easy or as easy as birth can be. I love her and appreciate her and I wish she could be an OB forever; future generations really could use her.I have to say that I never went in for my follow-up visit because I literally couldnt put my baby down and nobody else could hold him unless he knew them. I didnt want to be in my appointment with him screaming the entire time, it would have broken my heart. But, I have healed nicely and everything is great. My baby is doing amazing and thriving and finally chunky.Sorry about the double photo, it originally didnt show his face and now it does, but I cant delete either of them.

I really liked this place at first, i had labs done like 5 months ago and nobody ever got back to me on my labs. they were done to see if i was able to take a certain medication. the girl who answers the phone was never helpful

Dr. Gottfried is a great doctor and her staff are fantastic too. I appreciated how she took her time answering my many questions and was really thoughtful through out the entire appointment. I would definitely recommend her to friends and family.

Shady charging. I literally asked if getting blood test for hyper thyroidism would cost extra or not, and the doctor said NO, yet here I am getting billed 1 month ago for an unnecessary test that she recommend and not to mention her blood work lady literally missed my vein twice

Reasons why I love going to Dr Gottfried: 1) The people- everyone is so sweet I cannot say a bad thing about a single staff member in this office. I consider many of them friends (hi Heather!) and feel like they truly care about me and my babies! I felt safe in Dr Gottfried’s care and she listened to my wants&needs patiently. 2) 95% of my appointments were on time or early 3) Dr Gottfrieds office is right next to the hospital and she’s dedicated to deliver as many of her patients babies as possible. That definitely gave me some peace of mind

Teresa, the nurse practitioner, is great! She takes time to go through your history with you and makes you feel comfortable the whole time. Plus, she called me back right on time for my appointment. 10/10 recommend.

I see the nurse practitioner, Terry, and she’s been so helpful with taking the time answer all my questions and make me feel confident about my sexual health. This is the best OBGYN office I’ve gone to. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for caring staff and good practical information. :)

I cannot recommend Dr. Gottfried enough! She is highly knowledgeable, professional and experienced. She answers all your questions in detail and takes excellent care of you. Shes been my OBGYN since I moved to Arizona 4 years ago and I am really glad I found her. She helped me through a high-risk pregnancy and I felt confident in her advice, which was spot on. Thanks to her I delivered a healthy baby and everything went smoothly. Her staff is also great to work with. Everyone is very efficient and nice. In sum, I highly recommend her.

Dr. Gottfried delivered all four of my babies, and I still go to her for my yearly well visits.....so for over 20 years now! She is thorough, patient, understanding and is always willing to answer all of my questions. She is the best!!

I want to give 5 stars but cant. The nurse practicioner is incredible & very kind but the front desk woman with curly hair the nurse assistant who brought me to my room were RUDE. Extremely short with you, no smiles, unfriendly. It felt like I was an enemy & inconvenience to their day. They should not have jobs since they clearly dont know how to be a decent human or appreciate their job.The front desk woman was rude & abrupt. The nurse assistant didnt even look me in the eye & rushed me. When she went over my paperwork before the nurse practioner came in, she was very rude & impersonable. She read my past medical history(not current) and condescendingly asked me if I was actually depressed or self diagnosed. I am not depressed anymore, was clinically depressed before, I put that as PAST medical history. Cut me off when I was talking, didnt listen. Couldnt believe how rude she was. I really hope you fire her she does not deserve her job.

I was very appreciative of how quickly there visit went.Dr.Gottfried was very delicate with the she explained and read my MRI reports. I went in for a biopsy, all though she couldnt do it herself she referred to me someone who can. Its been a waiting game for other places with my medical needs and they were on top of it.I appreciate it. My medical concern is at a critical time and I dont have the time to wait.

My first visit there was fantastic. The office staff were super nice and on top of things. And dr Gottfried seems great! Im glad to have chosen this office.

I have been with Dr. Gottfried for many many years now and highly recommend her. Her and her staff are both thorough and provide great communication. They work to get you in as quickly as they are able to and always get back to you with a response when needed.

Front desk woman with the curly hair is always rude and short. Never looks up from her desk when anyone walks up. Why is this person allowed to work up front greeting/checking in patients? This is my third time in this office and I have always gotten the same condescending vibe from that woman. I promptly arrived at the appointment at 10:45am to fill out paperwork, my appointment was at 11:00am. The time is now 11:30am and she just told me that they’re running behind and all the rooms are busy. They have no regard for people’s set appointment times. I work in healthcare and this is just not acceptable. I am done with this office, I let the woman know I was leaving. I won’t be back.

My experience with Dr Gottfried has always been great. She is very personable and genuinely interested in the well being of her clients. I dont feel rushed and can take time to discuss my concerns of health issues each visit with her. So I feel like she is my PCP, not just OBGYN. I cant wait to see her again!

I have been going to Dr. Gottfriend for almost 5 years now, and she delivered both of my children. She is professional, compassionate, and very helpful when you have questions about your health. Her staff is also very helpful, responsive, and incredibly nice. Overall, a great practice and I will continue coming here, even though I live in downtown Phoenix and their office is in Mesa.

I love this office and love how I am treated when I go . They know who I am and always remember my son and ask how he’s doing and how big he’s getting. My experience has been great here , but there is always one rotten apple in the tree and that employee is Amber (front office I believe) . She is so rude on the phone, places you on hold mid way through your sentence without letting you know . Speaks with a very angry and annoyed tone. Definitely should not be in the position she is in because the front office is the staff that is first presented to patients . I work in the medical field and I could definitely recommend a better employee with better customer service to answer your guys phones then to have Amber on the phone being rude to people when they call.

Tamar is one of the most talented OB/Gyns I have ever known. She not only delivered my 17 year old but she also removed 30 pounds of cysts on the inside and outside of a friends uterus...and saved her uterus!

Office staff are incredibly nice. Never had an issue with any person in the building or felt that I wasnt being treated the way that I should,as this was my first pregnancy.Dr. Gottfried is AMAZING!! Every visit, she got the the point, she answered any questions that I had about birth (again, my first pregnancy), she was blunt and didnt sugar coat a damn thing weather I wanted to hear it or not.My birth plan did not go, as planned. Lol. I was induced at 39wks. After the induction did not help my contractions along, she had to break my water. I dilated to 6cm and stopped. Then my little girl decided to put her head into a position that stopped her even more. Lol. After 23.5hrs of labor, Ms. Gottfried notified me that the only way to safely get my daughter out was to have a C-Section. Not even 10mins later, I was in the room having my daughter delivered. I put all of my trust in her as this was such a new experience, and she did amazing!!I thank all of the staff but most of all, Dr. Gottfried!!If/when I have my second child... I will be marching to her office! :D

Dr Gottfried and the office staff were very considerate with my elderly mother, taking care to schedule an appointment when the office wasnt busy, and being kind, clear and gentle during the exam. A difficult experience was made easier and I would highly recommend Dr Gottfried.

I have been seeing Dr. Gottfried for the past 3 yrs or so for non pregnancy related issues. She always seems a bit stand offish but I am only getting a pap, so she literally is in and out. My last appointment I made was because i was having pains down below. I go to appointment and again she isnt real personable. Checks the area as there is no sign of infection or swelling. I ask if it can be nerve pain and she is like it could be. Doesnt ask if I have history of lumbar or hip issues which I do, which maybe causing this issue. But she is the doctor and really just didnt seem to care. She quickly says oh, you are due for a pap. So I get a pap and that is literally the extent of the appointment. Once again in and out with little interaction, instructions, lack of concern or personality. Thank god I am past my OBGYN years and see her usually only once every 2 yrs. I may still change gyns but not sure.

I wasnt a fan of the receptionist front desk crew. No smiles, no greeting, no goodbyes, no have a nice days. I walked in (1st time here) they continued a non medical conversation between themselves (No hellos, or even eye contact)Obviously Im not here to see them. But it does affects the mood/atmosphere.After leaving the front desk everything was fine and dandy. The nurse was doing her job but in a pleasant way. Dr Gottfried was kind and personable. Even the medical student shadowing her was willing to connect.So unfortunately, Im giving 3 stars. If the front desk was different 4. I wasnt wowed by the experience but the front desk left a bad taste in my mouth.

I’ve been a long term patient of Dr Gottfried. I’m a medical professional as well and I have very high standards especially when it comes to whom I choose to manage my health concerns or routine exams. Dr Gottfried is straight forward and very knowledgeable. I’ve always felt that she has not only listened to my concerns but also gave me advice as a specialist in her field that always made me feel confident in the care I was receiving. I appreciate her sense of humor and genuine concern regarding how I was doing.I recently saw another provider Teresa NP at Dr Gottfrieds office that was amazing. She was kind, funny and genuinely interested in getting to know me. I was very impressed by her level of professionalism and skill set. I was super nervous to say the least to have my IUD removed because the doctor (not Dr Gottfried) who inserted it caused me to have an excruciating amount of pain during the procedure. I explained the details about what my previous experience was with the IUD insertion and Teresa knew exactly how to put me at ease. Not only was she informative of what she was doing; I didn’t feel a thing!Now moving on to the front office, clinical team as well as the phlebotomist .... they all are amazing. Everyone is very friendly and have gone above and beyond what most office staff has done for me in the past. I’ve been given samples of BCP pills without asking. The ladies in the front and back office knew I was struggling financially which was why they offered the samples to me to help me out. I also have had my appointments moved up to a sooner date and have been added on to an already overwhelmed schedule.Ladies, know that you are appreciated for all that you do. It’s nearly impossible to find such an amazing group of professionals all under one roof!! I’m super blessed to have you in my life. :)

Have had nothing but problems with the office from day one. Left a urine for testing and they lost it had to come back and do it again which delayed treatment for a week. Office said was going to send lab order to Sonora quest but never sent them. Office staff called out so my appointment was rescheduled again further delaying treatment. Alway a long wait to be seen.

My wife is fluent in English, but sometimes she preferred her native tongue, Spanish, to make sure she was comprehending everything, and Dr. Tamar speaks very good Spanish!My wife felt secure and I knew she was in good hands the whole time, even though I was a first-time dad and had constant nervous attacks.I would recommend her to anyone, and have! We are already thinking we will be needing her again very soon.....

Doctor Gottfried is one of the rudest doctors I’ve ever been seen by... Mind you I’m a first time mom living in a new state and only 21.. She told me and my fiancé to look for a hospital that accepts both our insurances and go on some tours So we did and I chose Chandler Regional Birth Center instead of Banner Dessert. She was so blunt and rude after we told her our decision she said well I can’t help u anymore ,Do u have any questions and I asked her where and what do I do and she said Look it Up😑Thankfully the nurse who takes my blood pressure and weight told me to go to MomDoc and gave me the address and number.... All of the nurses are more helpful and friendly then Doctor Gottfried... Doctor Gottfried needs to take an empathy class so she can connect better with her patients and be more helpful instead of treating New Moms like numbers...MomDoc is friendlier and a much happier environment and bigger🤗

Had a sebaceous cyst removed from Dr. Tamar Gottfried, the cyst itself didnt hurt but because I could feel it during showering it drove me nuts so I had it removed by her she used the numbing medicine to numb the area, but it hadnt kicked in yet before she started cutting, I felt every bit of the needle and the scaffold it was horrible. Didnt receive any information on aftercare. Just a band-aid and cream. Now looking for new OBGYN, totally done!

Honestly. I came here to get tested for an infection. The doctor told me she couldnt find anything and told me to wait 7 days for the results. Obviously I was in pain and knew I had an infection. The next day I ended up having severe kidney pain. Which lead me to staying five days in the hospital. The fact that she said she couldnt find anything and told me to wait 7 days, is ridiculous and I will never be going here again. They should probably reconsider the front desk as well because every time I came in for an appointment she always had an attitude with me. Not sure if she did that to anyone else but definitely will not be coming due to those reasons.

There was so much interest in me. It was all about me and the baby. She understood every worry that my partner and I had. She took very good interest even after delivery because I had to go back to the hospital the same day I was discharged. I had a uterus infection but she stopped by and really made me feel like she cared.

I have had a great experience with Doctor Gotfried. I switched to her when I was about 26 weeks pregnant and she made sure I got all the right things I needed. I had high blood pressure she made sure I had daily blood pressure checks got me a blood pressure cuff for at home. The nurses were always great always made me feel comfortable. Dr Gotfried always complimented my baby, I had weekly ultrasounds to make sure my baby was safe. I have very hard veins to find and at my other obgyn they never found them or they would and it would take 10 mins to draw my blood and I would almost pass out each time. But here they would find it quickly and get it done within a minute or two. My delivery was good, dr Gotfried did a great job. Her nurses at banner health saved my sons life! I will continue to go to her. Highly recommend.

Had an appointment at 7:45am. Was told to be there at 7:30am for new patient paperwork. When I showed up nobody was there. The office was closed and the sign saidthey dont open till 9am. Waited for about 10 minutes, tried to call to make sure I was at the right place, nobody was there so I left. Then got a call just after 9am saying I no showed my appointment and asking if id like to reschedule?!

I went to my girlfriends appointment with her for the first time this past week. She has seen Dr. Gottfried four times in total and absolutely dreads every visit. I dont know what happens during the appointments, because I wait in the sitting area, but one thing I can say, is that the people behind the front desk are rude and very unprofessional. You can tell that they are uninterested in your concerns and seem bothered by any questions you might have. One thing you can count on is that they will help you out at their own convenience.My girlfriend has told me that during her appointments she feels that Dr. Gottfried tends to be distracted and doesnt seem very involved in the session. She says that it is almost as if Dr. Gottfried would rather be helping a more deserving patient.Not only has my girlfriend had unpleasant visits, but her oldest sister who recently had a baby, switched OBGYNS mid pregnancy because she felt that Dr. Gottfried wasnt taking her concerns seriously.We would like to put our experiences out there to hopefully help future patients better decide on a good OBGYN. The best of luck in finding one, but in our opinion, it wont be at this office.

Dr.Gottfried is not personable I hated going to my o.b apts she makes me feel horrible but being over weight , I would cry before and after all apts because she made me feel so bad about myself. She wasnt even happy I lowered my A1C. Would still say that Im gaining weight and she only wanted me to gain 10lbs the whole time. I changed O.bd at 26 weeks . She even insisted on my having a c-section when my other child was vaginal. ? How could someone pre-derermine thats what I would need?. Definitely do not recommend her to anyone!

This was a horrific experience. This woman was blatantly rude and showed ZERO concern for the health of my baby or myself. Was very hesitant to keep me home from work with obvious markers for preeclampsia. Allowed me to go over a week past my due date. Was unable to determine that my baby was FAR too big to fit through my anatomy and there in had me push for over four hours straight before the next dr revealed this. Me and my baby both crashed. She had no concern that the nurse turned the pitosin down for good cause and demanded it turned back up. This experience haunts me to this day. I wish I had the guts to leave and find a new dr. Now that I have a new dr at a women’s center I will always regret putting my Daughter’s life in danger by staying with this doctor. There is WAY MORE humanity out there.

I went to Gottfried recently at 5weeks. The office is beautiful, nice, and near banner (and my friend went to her) so I figured it was good. WORST MISTAKE if your an accchs member cause all they care about is MONEY. I literally had severe morning sickness and went down to 83 pounds and all she would tell me all the way till I was 5months was just try eating (CLEARLY IM TRYING) . only once did she admit me to hospital....they said if i threw up again to come back immediately so i did and she DIDMT ADMIT ME....I would bring up things and she would just say oh we dont want to worry about that. cause I would do research on malnutrition in pregnancy like hypermesis... I was passing out weekly and had no energy I looked like a walking anorexic G-head....she never did test, looked at my baby, NOTHING! Finally I started bleeding and she sent me somewhere else and it ended up being I was contracting and THEY GAVE ME BOTOX (WTH) ...at six months I was still 86 pounds (great significance in gain -SIKE) and passing out. I changed obs THANK GOD and now I have to be on in home health care, permanent daily IV and a pump in my leg of zofran at a high rate. I cant go anywhere Im on permanent bed rest and cant be at my job because I have this iv pole lugging around and needles in me. I HAVE HYPERMESIS DAVIGARUM (if spelled right) and now Im at risk of premature labor. THANKS TAMAR FOR JUST CARING ABOUT ur money AND not my child.

Constantly canceling and rescheduling always trying to make appointments around their schedule and tried to have Medicare take me to appointments unwilling

I had transferred to Dr. Gottfried back in June becasue my original doctor was 30 mins way across town and really needed something closer. I wish i hadnt moved my doctors because the front office here is beyond rude and short with me every time i call, and when i have a question about my unborn child and to complain about pains they just send me to the maternity wing, such an ill informed front office and I agree with the other reviewer, it just seems like it is all about the money with this doctors office and at this point if i wasnt so damn far along i would go BACK to driving 30 mins in the opposite direction to my original OB/GYN
