I have always been very skeptical of chiropractors. I hear stories about being roped into long series of treatments with little benefit or return on that investment. But one day I woke up and couldn’t turn my neck at all. I was rear ended by a drunk driver 25 years prior and had never been treated. Upon recommendation from a friend, I went to Dr. Koenke. He had me back to full range of motion in just 3 or 4 visits! I’m currently seeing him for plantar fasciitis and he is basically a miracle worker! AMAZING! AMAZING! AMAZING!I’m visiting Mesa from Maryland and was in need of a chiropractor for my neck and lower back. I asked around and a couple people mentioned North Mesa Performance Chiropractic.During the initial examination of questions and movements, Dr Koenke noticed that I also had issues with my right hip. (Which I didn’t even realize) He explained that since my right hip wasn’t moving very well, it was making my lower back do all the work. After the first treatment, my hip movement increased by 30 degrees and my neck and back feel good. I have seen him three times and every time I come away with the feeling it’s the best money I have spent. My movement is better and I have less pain.I’ve been going to chiropractors for the last 30 years, but Dr Koenke style of practice with muscle manipulation being forefront and with adjustments, he is the BEST chiropractor I have been to. Went to Dr. Koenke based on a conversation with a friend - discussing a sports injury that my daughter received a few years ago, to which a Dr. stated that she would have to live with the outcomes for the rest of her life. This was the first visit for myself and my daughter to a chiropractic office because of reputations of other chiropractic care centers that set you up with 10-15 appointments. Dr. Koenke was kind, thoughtful and thorough regarding our desired outcomes. He stated that if after 3-4 visits, we were not getting the desired outcomes, that he would refer us elsewhere. My daughter went a total of four times and he was amazing. The next time there is an injury in our home, we will definitely be heading to North Mesa Performance Chiropractic.

My first time going to a Chiropractor. I’m 54 and had some chronic lower back pain that I was convinced was arthritis, compressed disc or maybe even a tiny fracture. Two visits and my pain went from an 8 to a 1. I was amazed. Dr. Koenke took the time to discuss my pain and more importantly, he listened! He did some minor adjustments that, to my surprise, made a world of difference. I felt better by the time I got in my car to drive home. I could feel energy moving in that spot again! He doesn’t recommend a bunch of X-rays but I chose to get one to see if there was indeed arthritis. Results came back by my second visit. Trace amounts of arthritis. Not enough to even talk about. Completely different approach to therapy that was very successful for an old shoulder, back, and hip problem. Everyone was pleasant and I was very pleased with the results I gained. Keep reading for my personal story.As an amateur runner in my late 30s, I developed Plantar Fasciitis. I grew tolerant over time of the discomfort and chalked it up to something I would have to deal with as long as I wanted to continue to run. I see a Podiatrist multiple times and believed they should know best. These visits resulted in painful shots in my heals which only treating the symptoms, not the problem. Thankfully that all changed in the first 15 seconds of my initial evaluation with Dr. Kyle (As he’s known in the office). He made me a believer in him, and I trust in him to this day. In that short time he pinpointed the root cause for the Plantar Fasciitis. Yes, I had tears in the tissues of my foot, inflammation, etc, but this stemmed from prior injuries in my calf muscles/tendons that as they healed, they knotted, shortening their overall length, and were putting constant tension all the way down into my feet. Dr. Kyle devised a plan to treat the root cause and the inflammation in my feet without the use of painful shots or medicine. Within 3 months I was pain free and have been ever since.Since that time Dr. Kyle has worked on my on again off again lower back ailments. Most recently I had a feeling that my right hip was a bit “stuck” and didn’t move freely and was causing some pain doing the simplest of tasks. With a golf game set for the next day I went to see Dr Kyle. After our session jokingly he said I was good for a 68. My husband has been a patient of Dr. Koenkes for quite a few years now. We followed him when he moved his office and it was completely worth it. Nice, clean office and friendly front desk staff! The dr is very knowledgeable and kind. I was suffering from residual sinus issues after a really bad sinus infection. A friend recommended this office to see if some chiropractic adjustments could help; at the very least to try and get some relief since the ENT could not get me in right away. After two visits I felt so much better, night and day. By the time I got in to my ENT he couldn’t see any current issues.

Walked in for an adjustment and mentioned issues with planter fasciitis and he was like yet I can help you with that. After a few treatments and ideas on how to stretch it and why it was happening I felt like a million bucks. My foot hasn’t felt this great in years!

I have been going to Dr Koenke for back issues for 6 years. He is an excellent chiropractor and I would highly recommend him to anyone that suffers from pain. Earlier this year I had discs compressing nerves in my spine and was having spasms and horrible pain in my right leg. I was literally dragging my leg around and living on pain pills. It took about 8 weeks of chiropractic care but I eventually was healed. I could of had a shot in my back to alleviate the spasms but there was no guarantee it would work. I really thought I was going to be in pain and limp around the rest of my life! Thank you Dr Koenke for the care you have given me this year and all the years I have seen you. Another thing he suggested about 3 years ago when my lower back kept acting up was to get a standing desk because I sit all day at work. This was my third visit to Dr. Keonke. Fantastic staff all the way around, from the time you enter the office until you leave. My first visit there was thanks to a recommendation by a friend when my back went out. I was in severe pain and could barely walk and Dr. Keonke recognized right away that it may be a neurological issue. Thanks to his insight, I was able to get to the core of my back issue by seeing a neurologist. I am now seeing Dr. Keonke regularly for maintenance as my back is starting to act up a bit from becoming more physically active at the gym. He’s been great with directions on what exercises to do, how to make sure my back is not going to suffer, and keeping my core engaged to make it stronger. After an auto accident left me injured on my ankle and wrist, every week ive been seeing Dr. Koenke ive been having less pain and more mobility. I would highly recommend this chiropractor to anyone!

I’ve been to a few chiropractors. Always helps in the moment but i find after i leave the pain almost immediately returns. Well, that was until i came here. Felt great after i left and the pain never came back. also learned a few techniques to stretch and build strength in my back to prevent future problems. thank you!

Koenke spent the time to learn about me and my situation. He then used drawings and 3D models to teach me about what causes my back pain. He taught me about things that will aggravate the problem and how to address the problem with exercises and stretches. I highly recommend him.

Dr. Kyle is hands down the best chiropractor ive been to. The staff is super friendly and helpful as well. Kyle listens to your issues and is very good at diagnosing and explaining what is wrong and how he will fix it and how to prevent it from happening again. ive gone in to have everything from pain in my neck/shoulders, to a slipped rib, to shooting lower back pain and Kyle is able to fix things, usually in one visit! He was even able to fix my wifes back when she was pregnant. The staff is amazing and i can usually get in for a visit same day if not within an hour of calling. Unfortunately my insurance doesnt cover my visits, but Kyles prices are not much more than my normal copay and i consider it money well spent. Whenever someone asks if i can recommend a good chiropractor i always recommend Kyle.

Dr. Kyle is awesome. I used him a couple times and he has always helped fix my lower back pains and spine issues. I just visited a different place and they pushed me through and didnt really help at all so I will for sure return to Koenke Chiropractic!

Dr Koenke fixes my problem areas and doesn’t have me come 3 times a week for the rest of my life! Dr Koenke listens to me and adjusts the areas that are bothering me and sometimes even an area I didn’t know was bothering me.
