I should have taken the warning from most of the other reviews! If your time has no value and you dont mind sitting for some hours, this might be the guy for you. I should have known when I showed up 15 minutes early and I saw another person leave angry! Of course, this post, like all the others, will receive the computer generated apology!

My husband gave up waiting for Dr. Chan after 2 hours. He may be a good doctor, but his practice is poorly managed. No one bothered to explain the reason for the delay and the exam room was an ice box.

Dr Chan is great Dr.Yes you have to be prepared to wait, but that is because he rarely gets a break taking care of patients all day long. Some drs are not qualified to do what he does,so we must remember the shortage of such great drs!!! Thank you Dr.Chan.

Dr Chan is great! I see some people complained about wait times. It is true, you might have a long wait but, it is worth the wait. Dr Chan is a super nice guy and is really good at what he does. He will talk your ear off and I think that adds to wait times. The thing is, he really cares and has a great humorous bedside manner.I had an ultrasound and had a phone appointment scheduled to get the results that ran late. He eventually called me and said they discovered an enlarged heart. He spent time with me talking about possible causes and said we are going to schedule some tests to figure out what is going on. We hung up the phone and hours later he called me back because he thought of a possible cause and wanted to let me know. Him taking the time to do that meant a lot and showed he was thinking about me long after our call.

You can expect to wait but its worth it. He takes his time with each patient and is a well renowned doctor with a lot of experience. Keeps up to date on all new procedures.

Dr. Chan is brilliant. However, I declined his offer to place a loop recorder via surgery. When asked when I wanted to schedule the surgery, I declined. I received a bill for anesthesia from another cardiac electrophysiologist for $6,000.00 and my part to pay was $2280.00. It must have been one heck of a sedation. As, I dont remember having the surgery. I dont have any surgical scars, nor any implanted devices. Someone must have went through surgery to generate this bill. I wonder if someone received a loop recorder in place of a pacemaker. How can I be receiving a bill for a service never provided? With this type of error, I wont be volunteering for any surgery with this group. There is no telling what someone will go in for and come out with. The billing department was refusing to believe that I wasnt seen at Banner Heart and that I didnt have surgery. Amazing. I want to see my signatures... Can we say BILLING FRAUD???

My wife has high blood pressure. We have visited Dr. Rodrigo Chan since 2016. Every time we visit him it takes for ever to get so see him. Previous to our last visit it took 2 and 1/2 hours for him to see us. When he was prescribing the medications for high blood pressure (at the same time) he was prescribing 3 tests for her heart that would be conducted within the next three months. He was more concerned about the tests he was prescribing than the medications she needed. He even included a medication he had previously prescribed which caused bad side effects (Amlodipine). I told him that he had already prescribed that medication and that was causing side effects. His response was Im sorry. Then he prescribed something else.About 3 weeks ago we had an appointment to see him at 10:45am. We sign-in at 10:40am. About 3 and 1/2 hours we were taken to one of the rooms where he was supposed to see us. IT WAS 4 1/2 HOURS and we he had not shown up. He was to busy seen other patients that were candidates for pace-makers or hearts by-pass surgery. He was not concerned to see us. So, we walked out of his office. No one care to ask why we were leaving. No follow up calls or e-mails from them. NO PATIENT SHOULD HAVE TO WAIT 4 AND 1/2 HOUR TO SEE A DOCTOR.RECOMMENDATIONS? NONE.John Velez

Dr. Chan and his group are extremely knowledgeable and competent in the areas of general cardiology and card arythmias. Dr. Chan is also very concerned about the patient understanding their condition, limitations, risks and options. He takes the necessary time with each patient to ensure the comfort level and for this his appointments tends to run late. Knowing this and knowing the same level of care and time are devoted to each and you will appreciate him all the more. If you are concerned about the time and can, ask if you can see Nicole.

The receptionist were very rude, acted like she hated her job. Got yelled at for putting my purse on counter to get my insurance card as she said it had germs obviously she did want to wipe it down which is something they should be doing at all times. Felt very uncomfortable so left without seeing Dr.

Dr.Chan is a great surgeon however his long wait times are unacceptable. Waited for 5 hours for a follow-up appointment post surgery that should have taken 5 minutes. Nobody besides a nurse apologized for the wait and staff did not warn people in advance of wait time knowing full well Dr.Chan was already hours behind schedule.

Chan may be a great doctor but if he continues to over schedule the way he does, how can he give quality care? I sat there for almost 2 hours and ended up walking out. Shame on him!! My time is important too!! How embarrassing for his staff, poor gals get the brunt of everyones anger and it is simple wrong and it appears greedy!! STOP OVER SCHEDULING!!

Dr Chan saved my life. I am only 50 years old, was in hospital for an unrelated problem. They did some tests and told me my heart would not be strong enough for this surgery. I took my chances, made it through to have Dr Chan put a pacemaker, defibulstir in me. If he would not of done this I would not be here on earth.. THANK U DR CHAN FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART. LOL. God Bless
