Were mixed with Dominican so we definitely appreciate seeing a salon out here like in NY. My daughter loved her hair for her Birthday even though the cost could have been more reasonable.

I got a Brazilian Blowout and my hair is silky smooth

Been a customer for years and never had issues with the time frame of coming in until recently. They close at 6 and one of the women there told me to come 2 hrs prior for some reason when it only takes 20-30 mins to blowout my hair. I get off work at 430 so coming at 4 doesn’t work. So I haven’t been back since because apparently there’s no time to do my hair now .

They did a decent job blowing out my hair. But damm not even in Ny I pay almost $100 just to wash, do rolos & straighten my hair. In N.Y I paid $35 thats including cutting my dead ends. My hair always been down to my butt. This are way too over priced & it’s why I go once or twice a year. When ever I’m ready to spend close to $100 just to straighten my hair.

NYC saved the day! I made an appointment for my daughter on prom day at another salon and it was a disaster. I called them mid afternoon and explained the situation and they said to come and they would fix it. It was a simple ponytail style, but I was so grateful when I saw the smile on my daughter’s face after seeing her fight back tears from the other place. I am a customer for life after seeing the compassion toward our situation!

I really wish I could give this place of business 0 stars. I made an appt for my daughter 7/23/21 at 4 pm. I spoke to a young lady and was sent a confirmation text. I even received a confirmation text the day prior to. I drove 45 mins to arrive at a closed business. I called several times and left 2 messages but that was a waste. My daughter is the one suffering because she really wanted her her straightened for her birthday which was the same day of appt. So now I have a sad child and wasted my time and gas for an establishment that didn’t have the decency to call and cancel appts for the day. Don’t waste your time or money here!

Taylor, the owners daughter is rude always have been shes very unprofessional. She want me to pay prior to getting service. She didnt charge anybody else prior to receiving their service so she discriminated against me.

So I was told about this place a while back. I didnt believe that my people from NYC also Dominican set up shop in AZ. I thought I was the very few! I feel like Im back at home! The atmosphere, both hair stylist bomb!!! They did my roller dryer that NO OTHER AZ hair stylist has yet done. If you guys want to notch hair, come here!!!

03 July 20Yesterday Friday morning I came to NYC Beauty Salon LLC to finally get a new look. I requested a wash set/rollers with blowout and hair cut services. The washset lady (sorry I never got her name) did a great job! Loved the scalp massage. Stephanie hands down did an amazing job! After she blow dried my hair and flat ironed my hair. I requested a bob cut with an even cut all around. Stephanie exceeded my expectations and I am so happy with the new look. I work in the military service and with long hair Im constantly having to have my hair slicked back in a bun. I have tight curls and used to get Keratin treatments all the time back when I was home in Queens NY. Its been 2 yrs since Ive done anything to my hair and I wanted to leave my hair chemical free. Stephanie said I didnt need Keratin Treatments and she was right my hair looks so healthy again and I just love the style cut she did to my hair. The receptionist was very professional and helpful. I will definitely come back and I highly recommend anyone to check out NYC Beauty salon LLC.

I love, love this place. I had been searching for someone who knew how to do my hair (African American natural hair). I had been searching for a place to be comfortable and confident in whomever is doing my hair.I love Stephanie (the owner) - shes kind, listens well and has done wonders with my hair. I highly recommend her shop and suggest that you walk-in for your appointment today.

Theyre good but are not good with black peoples natural hair. They do not know how to work with natural black hair and all they want to do is use heat. All they use is HEAT! This is only a place to go to if you want nice straightened hair. Do not go if you are black and are natural!! Not the place.

Im sorry but i don’t recommend this place if you want quality hair. they don’t really know what they’re doing & my hair ended up looking a mess. not worth what i paid at all, could have done a better job myself. also didnt get what i asked for & left with bangs somehow. confused on how it has such high ratings . PS, its rude to continuously make comments on what a customer chooses to do to her hair.if you’re reading this, go somewhere else trust me lol

I totally recommend this hair salon!! I wanted to cut my hair a little bit to get some layers and that is exactly what happen, my hair was not cut more than what I had wanted and it looks great!!!Getting your hair washed by them is like a scalp massage that may put you to sleep! I have ZERO complaints. Great Job!!!

My first visit yesterday, and I was very impressed with the stylist knowledge of hair care and what I needed for continued hair care. The environment was relaxing and very clean. The lady that did my hair english wasnt that great, but she knew exactly what I wanted and she delivered with a smile. I left as a satisfied customer and will return, and I will highly recommend. 😁

My family and I moved here recently and I was devastated that I was probably never going to find one again and Miraculously I found this diamond in the rough miraculously. Ive gone here twice for a blowout and press. They always do a great job and I never have to wait very long. Me and my mom love this place! Always very professional and quick.

Too expensive and they only know how to work with thin hair, any other hair will get burned and destroyed. The owner has a nasty attitude and has no knowledge of what she’s doing. Service is completely overpriced and does not last at all . Save your money and do not go there !

I highly recommend this salon I came here to do my hair and loved the atmosphere and learned how healthy hair can be with a great roller set and a blowout. As a Mexican woman I’ve never had rollers and they are truly the best. And also that I have just finished beauty school I wanted to expand in learning how to do natural Caribbean and African American hair and it’s an honor to be part of this wonder team at this salon. I cut all my long beautiful permed hair off and started from scratch in 2016. Since then Ive had beautiful natural curls which I was happy for the progress. I need my hair straightened and I have been looking for a salon to get my hair straightened to perfection since I havent had it straightened in over a year, since Im from NY and have experience with Dominicans for over a decade; I decided to try them out. My hair was silky straight to perfection. The problem is, my hair will not go back to its natural state ???? Im seriously pissed off because they straightened my hair is January and it is now MAY and to this day my curl pattern will not return! I dont believe these people. I think they deliberately ruin your hair so you can return constantly to get it repaired a money making scam at its finest! Just plain wickedness. It took so much work to grow my hair natural and healthy only to have to cut all my hair off once again! You people need to advise people that there are relaxers in the shampoo and conditioners if you feel like u cant manage a client hair let them know so they can go elsewhere dont just deliberately damage peoples hair. Funny theres more than one review that states this same exact experience so you know its TRUE smfh ! Never again will never return

Listen up I just moved here 1 yrs ago and tried 3 different Dominican other stylist in az one girl was from NYC in a suite (she aight) but when I say NYC did the dam job they did it! Kuddos to this business it reasonable pricing staff is great. Stephanie the owner does her homework on hair and products. My daughters have Been 5 months relaxer free (curls are popping) thank you NYC for giving me and my daughter the best hair care possible. We appreciate all ya hard work!

I visited for a blow out. My naturally curly hair had not been straightened in more than a year prior. When my service was complete, my hair was sleek and straight. I was very pleased until I washed it. When washing my hair I noticed a extreme sulfer like smell. My curl pattern was completely gone. Whenever handling or styling my hair it breaks off in bunches. It was in November when I visited the salon, it is now February and my once full healthy hair is now weak, brittle, without curl, elasticity, and life. My hair is 50-75% thinner than before my salon visit. Im at the point of having to cut my hair or wear a wig. Ive since after much research have learned keratin was applied to my hair. I NEVER asked for keratin or was advised what was being put in my hair. I simply requested a wash, deep condition and trim. My hair is now damaged beyond repair. Buyer beware! Make sure you ask and make sure BEFORE having treatments at this salon.

Any Dominican Salon will give you an awesome wash and set. And the ladies here seem nice. But I find this establishment to be a bit dishonest about the extent of their abilities. Came to get ombré highlights, and showed a picture. She assured me that she could replicate the style, but the color was nowhere near what I asked for. I could tell in her face that she was confused about what she was doing, as she frantically added more product to repair the color. And though I could tell there was a problem, she wouldn’t communicate it with me. In addition my hair was left insanely brittle; I asked not to be blow-dried, but she could have at least conditioned it. I paid $80 for that mess. Went to another specialist the day after to retone the color and treat me with the Olaplex system. And they were able to fix the disaster, thank God!Handling a blower and flat iron well doesn’t make you a hair stylist. These women need to be trained well.

I’m so happy I finally found this Dominican beauty salon been looking for one for about 3 years “since I’m Dominican as well’ and omg I was originally wanting to get a keratin treatment since I have very curly and damage hair they talked me into trying this mask instead since she said a keratin wasn’t necessary for my type of hair and she didn’t want to just make me spend all that money since I was gonna need 3 ounces of product which was gonna be over 250+ dollars plus I needed Desperately a hair cut and my nails done and instead I got a treatment that left my hair silky I’m telling you silky like maybe once in my life when I first relaxed my hair omg I was shock when I saw my hair in the mirror, I got a pedicure, the acrylic of my nails removed and a manicure my hair done with the treatment and the cut, my eyebrows and I got some eyelashes for about 160$ not only she saved me money but they did a fenomenal job at taking care of my hair and give me what I was looking for without having to put other than a mask to make my hair super shiny and healthy, their customer service was amazing super friendly and also they told me about places I could get me some of my Dominican food wish was a major plus haha, I live all the way in Glendale but I will take the drive, sooooooo worth it, the owner so involved in the process of each client there was amazing, I’m always really picky for beauty salons after a lot of bad experiences in the states and in the Dominican Republic but they blow me away I totally recommend them, I will me posting this review in yelp with a clip of my hair how it is normally and how they left my hair sooooo silky and smooth!!!!!!
