It has been almost a year since I left Corporate America to make my move to Heritage Lane and what a great decision. Coming from a completely different accounting background, moving to Health Care was a scary jump for me. I have worked for heritage lane behavioral since 2017 and these people are like family to me. Management is understanding and helpful and willing to teach me new skills and perfect the skills I have. There is always opportunity for advancement and the staff are very supportive and friendly. The residents thrive in this place because of the environment they are and the level of care they receive. They are truly loved.

I have worked here for 4 years now and I absolutely love working here! The residents and the employees are so nice we are one big family here! The owner Reed he is such an awesome and loving boss! He would do absolutely anything and everything for his employees and also for the residents! He cares about all of us, he gives raises, bonuses, and 2 parties a year. A pool party and a Christmas party with amazing gifts and good food! Reed will even help pay for your caregiving school if you would love to become a caregiver! I want to sincerely thank the entire team at Heritage Lane for the incredible compassion and care they provide to my severely mentally and physically disabled brother for the past three years. From ownership to front office admin to caregivers, everyone has been totally supportive to provide a safe and comfortable environment for him with his wide range of very challenging needs. Even with the many difficulties, they continue to treat him respectfully and appropriately following the well planned and thoughtful mental health care program designed to provide guidance and support but also set clear expectations and boundaries. The staff are often helping me in managing my expectations and my own interactions and behaviors to continue my knowledge of the complexities of mental illness.I also want to comment on and commend the management team of their Covid 19 response. It was totally above and beyond compared to what many people have seen and read about in the news of how some more corporate-type assisted living facilities acted. HL took stringent and expeditious actions to prevent community spread among this high risk residents. The communications coming to us as guardians/ families/ responsible parties was so in depth and detailed. They were always available to answer questions or concerns I had. I had and have utmost confidence in the program and the management team that my brother is as safe as could be possible with what they instituted and the measured way they are lifting restrictions.I want to continue my brothers placement at HL as I know the management and caregivers are uniquely qualified to manage his mental health needs and challenges. And they are more than willing to work with our family for an overall personal care plan that makes sense for him.

I have been at heritage lane now for almost a year after getting a phone call just after the pandemic started and was offered a position in the culinary department as a Chef, I already was excited to re -join the company , And since I have been back seen how important every aspect of the residents and employees health and safety and mental well being were taken above any standards that were set and always seemed to be ahead of what standards were set at other facilitys and by the government, As a Chef I have been given within dietary restrictions to still be creative and use the best products to actually let the residents create their own menu using their family recipes and their own favorites to let residents be part of one of the most important things in their day. I enjoy working here and feel that the owners and management have treated me as an important asset to the company and all staff are constantly being trained and truly have an open door policy. When any suggestions are made by myself or any staff member they will spend, find , or adjust anything that will positively affect the residents and even the staff. I always feel like new opportunities to progress in the company and learn are being offered and see a bright future for the company and residents because of the care and family core values that really are being used there and not just in a employee handbook. It totally puts the dedication In perspective when the executive director comes and works side by side with you in the nutrition department 7 days a week than is relieved by myself to go finish his work running the day to day operations of the facility and not ever heard a complaint, I thought I put my time in and worked hard but I have a new respect for not just that situation but the owners dedication during the pandemic always keeping the residents up to date and safe and calm . Truly a great place to grow and learn.

I came to work at Heritage Lane on 8/1/2011. Yeah, that isnt a typo, 2011.10years. I come to work everyday with coworkers and residents who are family. Can you say to your friends and family or people you meet that you LOVE YOUR JOB or you LOVE YOUR BOSS? Not many people I do can, well unless they are working here with us.Reed Gunnel. Hes the owner. One of the best men I have ever met. Truly cares for his employees. Wants to know each one of them. Not just their names, but the names of their kids, or wives or husbands. He believes in 2nd chances and sometimes even 3rd.Personally, he has been there for me and my family during some truly tough times and I will be forever grateful for him.And boy does he have a heart for these residents. I love to hear him talking with them listening and asking questions.Its because he loves these residents so much that our employees get the best and most training. They get the tools they need to help improve the lives of their residents.Oh and the employees. I have a special place in my heart for them. They have some of the biggest hearts, they are hard working and they learn everything they can to give these residents what they need to be successful.The residents. Its just pure love and hard work and sometimes really hard work. But the most rewarding thing I have ever been a part of. I am blessed to be here everyday.

Iv been working here since October 2020, and love it. Residents and staff are awesome, everyone is welcoming every staff member has a hand in the residents development to try to become self efficient and learn coping skills etc.

I’ve been blessed to work within the behavioral health field for many years now. However, post college, the more experience I gained, the more devastated I seemingly became regarding the observed treatment of the greater SMI population in Arizona. It pained me to learn story after story, of facility after facility, regarding blatant mistreatment of others. I vowed years ago that I would NEVER work at any SMI facility within this state, I genuinely value each individual soul living in such, and would never work anywhere for anyone who didn’t share in my values. That is until I wandered upon Heritage Lane. At the very first interview and tour I was utterly shocked by how wonderful residents are treated... this is truly their home and they are cared for and genuinely loved as such! I knew immediately this was the fit for me. I couldn’t imagine allowing my loved one to live anywhere but.

You have a very nice facility. Very clean. The staff seems to really care about its patients.I did notice one one employee who was rude and disrespectfull towards other staff members.. Her name is Rose or Rosa. Not sure if she was having a bad day or shes like that all the time.Im only giving three stars because of that employee, otherwise itd be five

I’ve been working for this company for about 3 months and it’s been a perfect match for me. The other staff as well as the patients are all very friendly people and make it feel like a family working here. I love how everyone pitches in to help when needed and engage so well with each other.One main topic I’d like to highlight is the COVID-19 response. The team at heritage lane has gone above and beyond to protect residents from COVID-19 and our policies are paying off. We have been able to prevent any positive cases for a while now by providing employees and residents with n95 masks and eye protection. Sanitizing common areas regularly has been instrumental in our efforts to prevent spread. All staff and patients are tested weekly for COVID-19 to help ensure the safety of not only the residents but employees as well. With the response I’ve seen from our company regarding this major pandemic, I think highly of this facility. I feel as though this is a representation of the employees going above and beyond because they truly care about the residents.

I love working here! The owners and management treat us so well, I feel like I’m a part of the family. The Director of Nursing Care is amazing not only to myself but to all his staff. Thank you for all you do!

Great facility with a caring staff. My sister was a resident at Heritage Lane for 8 years. The owner and staff treated her like family. They provided a caring environment and dealt with health and behavioral problems promptly. The family was kept informed through regularly scheduled family conferences and immediate communications if she had any trouble. The facility common areas, residents rooms and restrooms are clean and well kept. We were blessed that our sister had such a great environment for so many years.

I have worked at Heritage Lane for the last two years and it has been two of my best years working anywhere. So leaving and going down a different career pathway was one of the hardest decisions. The residents at HL are not only amazing they are family, family that I love and protect as my own. Each and every single resident has their own uniqueness to them. I have grown into a better woman because of them. I have been taught to be a little kinder, love a little more,  patience, to just laugh and be happy because tomorrow is not promised. Not only the residents, but the staff. The staff that has been there as long as I have or longer are seriously one of a kind. It takes some special, amazing people to work in a behavioral atmosphere and the ones who have been their I cant speak more highly of them. They truly care for the residents. My heart is filled when I hear residents telling staff I love you or having nicknames for caregivers Sylvia boom boom lol you just dont get that anywhere else. There has not been a day I woke up dreading to go to work or while at work counting down the hours/minutes to leave. Shout out to Reed because I also have never worked at a company where the owner has taken such great care of his employees and residents. If theres ever an issue he has always taken the time to listen and made me feel like I mattered and handled the situation like a boss and found a solution that works for the issue. Like for real he takes care of his employees... Christmas party, bonuses, randomly buying all the employees lunch, and during this pandemic has taken so much time to send out emails to families, employees, making sure the community is safe, clean and covid free. I personally couldnt imagine having to be in charge of all that and have to take all that negativity towards people who may not understand what hes doing or why hes doing it, but I get it and I would do the same thing for the ones I love. I could go on and on about how truly amazing HL residents and staff have been. Overall I have been blessed to have had the opportunity to work at Heritage Lane, my heart has an everlasting impression.

When it comes to treating and supporting our community with behavioral needs, it does not get better than Heritage Lane. Jake and his team are creative and innovative. Most imortantly they truly care and treat their residents with respect.

Ive been working in the Behavioral Health Long Term Care industry for 10 years and Heritage Lane has risen to the top. The behavioral and psychiatric oversight is excellent, amazing resident work program, and outstanding activities. The facility leadership hearts are in the right place and they not owned by a corporate giant. I would refer to Heritage Lane without hesitation.

I very much like Heritage Lane Behavioral Assisted Living. Their specialty is behavioral issues and the staff is wonderful. All the psychiatrists and psychologists are patient. Everybody seems to be very happy working there. They like coming to work and interacting with the residents. I cant say enough about this place. They work in a positive manner. They have different age groups there, and my brother is more comfortable there. All their rooms are private rooms.

I have worked and visited many Skilled Nursing Facilities, Assisted Living Facilities and Behavioral Health settings. I have yet to see an Assisted Living that offers its residents what Heritage Lane Behavioral Assisted Living does. It has a structured, behavioral, individualized plan of care that allows its residents the opportunity to succeed. The owners and the staff strive to meet the needs of even their most discerning and vulnerable customers.

I have a family member who is staying at heritage, they have been in other facilities before. But Heritage is by far the best one. They are on top of my brothers activities and are very concerned with his safety. While being there he has been able to do several activities where in the other places this was not an option. Some of the activities include going to a Diamond Backs game, going to the movies, taking them to Walmart each week. They also get to help choose what is on the menu. The staff is very friendly and cares about the needs of their residents. They have also been very helpful whenever I have a question or a concern. They respond to my e-mails and I feel like I can communicate better then any other place my brother has been.

I have a family member who had to stay at heritage and they had a wonderful experience here. The staff was very friendly and educated on the needs of the residents. The facility was very clean and food choices met the standards of the people staying there.

The staff here are incredible. They are always willing to take time out of what theyre doing to help anyone in need, everything gets fixed right away if broken, and the patients are well taken care of. I definitely recommend!

This is the worst place ever!!! Do not take your loved ones there. Bed sores, Assault on the elderly, the staff is rude, Don’t let them fool you they talk nice until your family member is there then it becomes a different story, None of the staff knows what is going on there, the owner Reid is married to the Resident Phycologist, which in my book is a conflict of interest when both have direct say in what your family member can do or where they can go. This place makes cutbacks constantly. The worst Assisted Living Facility I have ever seen. The food is terrible, place smells, and the STAFF and OWNERS are HORRIBLE.

Could not ask for a better place for your family. Love this place.

August 24 of the year 2013 in despite working in hl I had worked in different places both in chandler and east mesa before in hl but I did not have in cash a deal like the one we have here yake the boss Ree not only knows us as workers but as members of his family and through each day and year that I have worked here and all my colleagues have been there for me and I hope they continue like this I have 7 years in hl something very important and super keno I will be able to forget in my life was that all my Companions were for me for 2 weeks that I was at home because I had a coby 19, thank God I survived and that each of them encouraged me to give me a yamadita and when I returned they let me know that here in hl we are a family I hope that when they have a minute come by ayi and get to know my 2casa where you will hear why not only do I like it but I love my work and I always tell myself and say Easy your life nobody dies thanks Att R.
