This place saved my life, no two ways about it. They took me in and allowed me to rebuild my life. The house staff at Dana was great. I currently work for TLC and James and the rest of the team have been a huge part of my recovery. Things arent just handed to you, you actually have to work for them - and to me this is how you achieve a long-lasting recovery. I cannot overstate how thankful I am to have found TLC.

TLC helps in so many ways. Them not needing money to take you right in is very important when one is really needing help. They have helped me the last 21 years and am living my life with a new perspective and am able to be useful and helpful to others.

This is a long over due review, and after reading some of the other responses I am very surprised by some of these men and their perspective of life and what is expected. My story with TLC started back in 1992 when I was 12 years old, they took my father in off the streets and helped him get sober. He had been in and out of facilities since I met my father when he was released from prison when I was 7. I didnt think this was going to be anything different, 29 years later i can say I was wrong and gladfully say i was as wrong about this as i have been about alot of things in life. TLC gave me a friend and more importantly my father. I would never know my dad without them, my kids wouldnt know their grandfather and so on. Its not just about that person but the line of people that are affected and their lives. I could go on all day about what this company had done for me and my family but i wont bore you, is it for everyone no, not every will find sobriety in the same place but its a good place to start that might lead to the place that will give you your father or friend back. Thank you again for everything TLC

This place is one of the worst of the worst. They tell you they accept anyone with no money down but in reality, you get charged weekly at a $125 dollar rate. If you leave before your 90 day commitment they charge you an extra 125 for the week you arent there. They do car washes and events just to add to their company for our bus cards and toilet paper. Because they claim it is for bus cards and toilet paper and only give you one roll a week and you have to buy the bus cards because they DO NOT provide them for you at all. They were selling single cigarettes for a while until a month ago. There are bed buds, feces and rats/mice running throughout and inside of the homes that have broken and decaying wood, tiles broken up on the floorboards and everyone starts to break out after a few days or weeks from itching. Not very clean, not very sanitary and a hazard to your health. They charge everyone an extra 50 to 60 dollars so make sure you calculate your exact days there since it is 18 dollars per day. If you ask for a copy of the account balance, they will refuse to give you documentation of what you are putting your money towards and treat you badly after for questioning their authority. If you work for TLC they will pay you $20 dollars a week and $20 dollars store credit, it also covers your weekly fee but you will basically be stuck in the company. If you question things or demand what you want when it comes to your information or promotion, expect to get fired. There are a select few of the management that try to an extent, and show true remorse and compassion. Most of the management have a habit of yelling at you and talk down to you in a condescending manner due to the majority of them getting into a mental power trip when they become a level or promoted. The levels and managers do not take you to the store when you ask or help you with anything outside of their program at all. This place is not the worst and they do try to the best of their knowledge and ability but the program itself is not the issue, it is the disgusting living conditions and unprofessional attitudes that run this non profit organization, which makes its services mediocre at best.

I was there from April 2009 to Feb of 2011, when I left I was living in one of the 3/4 house, when I was there there were 3 house for women, I worked for them, it paid service fees, I got 20.00 a wk, plus 20.00 in store credit, sounds like its changed a little, I met a lot of good ppl there who are still my friends today I also was blessed with meeting my husband, I was even a real shirt for a while

Im currently in a tlc. It is invested with roaches and bedbugs. They slow play you on getting your identification cars so they can work you at there jobs. Which they are getting paid $15 per hour but only pay you $10 per hour and a $1 towards their store per hour. Im currently looking for another halfway house in mesa at this minute. Keep looking if your considering coming here.
