In my opinion Home Instead which is now owned by Honor Technology, Inc. is very, very greedy with extremely poor business practices. My father needed care for two separate broken hips within a year. Each incident required care for about 1 month each. The bill for separate both care incidents was approximately $30,000 in total.A few of their care givers were great but according to the caregivers themselves the turnover rate is very high as it is not a great place to work.For the latest care period I had informed them on numerous occasions that my dad was better off this year which meant the care period schedule would need to be more flexible. To make a long story short, after a few weeks my father called up on a Friday and informed them that their services would no longer be required the following Monday. They said nothing at the time, except that they were happy he was feeling better. Subsequent to that, Home Instead pulled around $800 dollars from his bank account, for what the statement read was 6, 4 hour Bill for full shift, Cancelled by Client, so 6, 4-hour shifts. When I called to complain that after spending 30,000 for care these charges for a service that wasn’t even provided were ridiculous, they basically said sorry your out of luck. When I asked to have a written explanation of their decision I was hung up on.Bottom line, choose another provider or an individual from the sites that list them. If you must go with this company my advice would be to NOT schedule more than 2 days out, make sure you have a camera system on your property, and do not rely on their word for anything.

At Home Instead such great place to work! This company really values their customers and workers. As an employee you are provided with hands on training, flex able work schedule, and occasional bonuses are offered. They also have an incredible Hr department. From my previous employers, the Hr departments we not so great but Nikki does an amazing job! Another plus about this company is the amazing clients we get to work with everyday! I’ve learned and bonded with so many of the clients I get. Fantastic work environment.

The goal was to live in their home forever. Home Instead made this goal possible for our parents. Management handled substitutes and last-minute changes as needed, caregivers provided assistance as well as companionship and conversation, and my siblings and I had peace of mind knowing that our parents were never alone. We will always be grateful to the caregivers and staff at Home Instead.

Stellar experience! I called with a significant amount of questions and concerns, when it comes to home care it’s not something to take lightly I wanted to be sure to only get the best. Patricia was so patient and detailed with addressing each of my questions. It’s clear to me that she genuinely cares about her job and making sure each person that she helps hangs up with a clear and confident plan of assessment for their family members needs. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to anyone who needs home healthcare.

Everyone was cooperative. Very caring and helpful staff. Someone always came or called to check up on how service was. I was impressed that the owner of the company was the one that came to sign us up. I could tell that this company really cared and would treat me like family. They really have.

They are very efficient and compassionate, answering any concerns or requests in a very timely manner. My experience with Home Instead has been very smooth. From scheduling to accounting to involving a manager the response time was fast and any issues like schedule changes or emergency situations were always solved in a timely manner. 2018 -- the caregivers struggle with monitoring meds even with written instructions. I wish there were a better option out there but weve tried a few and they all seem ok for companion care but not good for medication reminders. They charge a lot but dont deliver on the promise. Not as on top of things as home instead in livonia mich that we use there.2017 -- The scheduling team confuses schedule/dates/instructions and doesnt communicate with customers or caregivers. I gave them a month notice on need date, they messed it up and had to scramble for service. I asked repeatedly for them to call and tell me who they were sending out each week and the request was ignored. Caregivers dont always read or follow the care plan. One caregiver missed the need for my mom to use oxygen. Caregivers cars dont all have functioning AC, fairly critical in AZ. (if you need AC, you better ask for it). They do respond when you communicate an issue but over the nearly 2 months we used them, nothing improved. Had a good experience with the company last year BUT their service/quality has deteriorated significantly.

Dont put your loved ones under their care. Mine has passed away

Since one of their caregivers stole over $20,000 from our aunt which they were forced to repay, they have become increasingly belligerent. When one of her longest tenured caregivers had to leave to attend to a sick family member, they called late at night to inform her that there would be no one to care for her the next morning. The agency didnt call her family members or the other agency so they could insure there was care. This was unconscionable for a licensed agency with an invalid client and a long standing relationship.

Really horrible service so far. It’s been really disappointing.
