Dr Ennis is one of the best doctors I have ever gone to in my entire life. Hes very nice, understanding, and empathetic. Hes incredibly knowledgeable and I will go to no other doctor in this area but him. His staff has always been extremely nice and patience with me. Hannah took my blood and she was so nice and so helpful and I literally did not even feel the needle going. His staff is very well trained and I absolutely recommend this place for anyone.

Have been a patient there now for about 9 months going in every 6 to 10 weeks for thyroid adjustment. I love Chelsey, she does a great job, listens well, is very tuned in with her patients and helpful. The staff on the other hand, is unresponsive, understaffed and not very reliable in conveying messages (via email or phone).

Your experience at this clinic depends on who you see. All the staff are very kind (though more staff is definitely needed), I love the nurses, and the atmosphere is very nice. Don’t go to Dr. Ennis. He has horrible bedside manners and truly doesn’t care about his patients. I’ve had this experience with him as well as my mother in law. Go to one of his P.A.’s. I see Chelsey Galipeau and absolutely love her. I went to Dr Ennis first after having intense weight gain and exhaustion along with a host of other complications. He basically told me I’m fat and just need to lose weight and I’m probably just diabetic. He ran a couple tests and put me on diabetes medication. It did nothing and so I went to Chelsey because I’d heard great things about her. I only talked with her for 30 minutes and she was able to diagnose that my testosterone and estrogen levels were way off. We did an extremely detailed range of blood tests and not only did it confirm her suspicions, but we also found more things off. Dr Ennis didn’t even care to find the problem. To him, I was just fat and lazy. That’s a horrible way to treat your patients especially when so many hormonal issues cause uncontrollable weight gain. He wasn’t sensitive to that at all

Very unprofessional, both staff and Dr. Ennis. Would definitely recommend going elsewhere. First visit was acceptable but rapidly went downhill after that. I agree with the earlier comment that a negative star rating would be more accurate.

I have had a horrible experience and communication on getting my appointments, dexacom supplies and follow ups on Type 1 Diabetic needs. In October I made my first visit and had orders in to follow my previous providers prescription. Its now July Ive spoke with front desk 6 times and again we will call you back and provide prior authorization. The lack of communication and follow up is concerning and when dealing with patients that have been waiting months not sure theyre in it for helping people educate themselves for the better on Diabetes or making money. Front desk woman constantly talked over me when I explained my situation.

If I had the choice to leave negative stars I would!! I had only been seen there once at the beginning of this year, when our insurance started over. I received a TEXT MESSAGE THE DAY OF MY SECOND APPOINTMENT CANCELLING MY APPOINTMENT!!! Dee from billing stated IN A TEXT MESSAGE FROM HER PERSONAL PHONE that my balance WAS NOT past due BUT their office policy is, that if your account has $500.00 or more (my bill was $504.41) they can not allow any further charges to be put on my account, THEN she canceled my appointment. I made a payment and was told that I would receive a phone call back fitting me into Jamies schedule...THAT DID NOT HAPPEN! NOBODY EVER ANSWERS THE PHONE, YOU HAVE TO LEAVE A MESSAGE OR SEND AN EMAIL!! THEN I GUESS THEY PICK AND CHOOSE WHO TO RESPOND TO. My husband and I both are both patients here and have had issues with the way they wrote the prescriptions...the pharmacy could not get a hold of them!! My husband had to go into the office regarding his prescription and it took them 5 days to get back to the pharmacy on my prescription. Since no one ever answers the phone I went into the office to get scheduled and they were extremely rude, I was told I would get a call back...I never did, so I sent 2 emails. Then I received a phone call from Dr. Ennis and he stated that I have been a thorn in their side since day 1 of going to that office and he never wanted me in his office again. He also tried to say I missed appointments, which I NEVER MISSED APPOINTMNETS THEY GOT CANCELLED THE DAY OF MY APPOINTMENT BY BILLING!!! Dr. Ennis was incredibly rude and put all the blame on me as a patient instead of looking at his practice to see what they can improve on. DR. ENNIS ALSO STATED THE $500 ACCOUNT BALANCE IS NOT POLICY!!! SO WHY DID THEY CANCEL MY APPOINTMENT?!?!? AVOID THIS RUDE INCOMPETENT PRACTICE AT ALL COSTS!!!!

I am very surprised by the negative reviews I see. I have been a patient for 4-5 years now and have never had anything but good experiences with Dr. Ennis. He has always listened and responded to my questions and concerns, even my crazier ideas. Hes polite, intelligent, and comes off very genuine. The staff has always been friendly and easy to deal with on site. If I could give 4.5 stars, I would because I havent had the best experiences with calling the office. Most of the time, they dont answer the phone. They will return a message but it can take up to a day or two to hear back. I see a similar turn around time when I email them. This is annoying when I have a question that could be answered in less than a minute if they would just pickup the phone.

I dont write many reviews, but, when I went on here to check opening times for bloodwork, because I had to go really early, I was shocked and angered by the bad reviews! For the past 20 years I have gone to dr after dr trying to figure out why I was having so many problems. Each time, the doctors couldnt find anything and basically made me feel like I was mentally ill. After years of dealing with incompetent doctors, I decided to turn to Dr. Google to manage my symptoms and try to figure out what was wrong with me on my own. While Dr. Google did help me manage my symptoms, they were, over time getting harder to manage. Than my daughter went to see Jamie Ruiz with Ennis Endocrinology and Jamie helped her so much and figured out some difficult things she was dealing with, with her Hashimotos that my daughter started hounding me to go see her. After months of her unrelenting hounding, I decided fine, Whats one more doctor calling me a nut-case gonna hurt. Well after 20 years of horrible demeaning doctors, Jamie Ruiz restored my dignity. She listened to me and my symptoms, believed me, than because of her expertise and knowledge, ordered some tests, and finally I had some answers. As far as the complaints on here about not being able to get through on the phone, thats because, Ennis Endocrinology is the best Endocrinologist in Idaho, (at least that is what my pharmacist told me) and I whole-heartedly agree with him! So, if you have gone to every doctor there is and havent gotten answers, I would highly recommend Ennis Endocrinology.

Ijust moved here and had to get checked from previous cancer i had. Dr Ennis didnt seem to care about helping me out and really listening to my concerns and needs. He thought my condition i was feeling was something else and I told him it wasnt, and just left the room without caring. Im not coming here again. I think he just wants the money more than listening. Thats how I felt. I cant trust people who dont listen.

No stars for this place! My mom was a patient of Jamie’s but we are going to find another doctor who will listen to patients and consider that maybe, just maybe they know their own bodies! When I asked a question about why she didn’t test her thyroid properly (FT3 and FT4) she was very rude to me! Didn’t try to explain at all! She took on an attitude that I was questioning her medical training, that she gets from the drug companies! And they told my mom she didn’t have to fast for her blood test but then tell her that she’s off the charts with her blood sugar! We won’t be going back to this place that never answers their phone! And they let patients come in without covid masks!

I had never been here before. I was extremely excited to receive better care, as its few and far between in the dietetic world. Especially for type 1. I was 20 minutes late due to a car crash causing traffic. I called several times to try and alert them I would be late but I could never get an answer. So I left two voicemails. When I arrived it was shocking. I can honestly say Ive never experienced such a lack of human concern or compassion in a Physicians office. I was shocked. It brought me to tears. The front desk said that I was late and accused me of not even calling. I explained the situation. The woman was cold, crass, and rude. She then proceeded to tell me... because you are late you are no longer welcome and we are unable to reschedule you unfortunately I didnt get her name from utter shock at her behavior. She said a notice was sent to my primary care physician. But he never received such a note. I am deeply saddened as the care I was expecting was actually a complete lack thereof. Unfortunately, I would never recommend this place.

I am shocked while reading some of these reviews. I called the office and booked an appointment; the office mailed me my paperwork; I physically took it in and the receptionist scanned it along with my ID and insurance cards.Today I returned and after less than a ten minute wait the MA called me in, took vitals and was extremely courteous and kind; all with a huge smile.!Jamie Ruiz, PA came to my room a few minutes later and the conversation/interaction/examination was perfect. She ordered labs that were immediately drawn and will call me in a week with results. The lab tech was a lot of fun and I did not feel a thing! The receptionist checked me out, accepted my copay and booked my return appointment.I could not find one negative thing about this office or the staff. I am glad I did not read these reviews first, I may have passed them up!Ennis Endocrinology is a wonderful practice and I highly recommend JAMIE RUIZ, PA.

The best doctor to see. Doctor Ennis is actually invested with the patient to make sure that their type 1 diabetes is under control. The only concern I have is that sometimes it takes awhile to hear back from the office. I realize that he has many patients. But it sometimes takes multiple phone calls and/or emails to get a response. But that part is minor.

I have been Type 1 since 2002. I was experiencing some issues that my Dr. thought needed a specialists help with. I made the appointment and went to see the PA. I let her know my episodes I was experiencing and all she did was push new products. Each concern I had, she had a new product that might be better than what I was using. I did not get ONE answer, suggestion, anything to help me. Then when she suggested what Lab work to run, she said she was going to run a lab to make sure I was a Type 1 diabetic. So for 17 years I had been taking insulin and nothing was going wrong?? I received a call when my lab work came in ,and they gave me the results of 3. I received my breakdown from my insurance and they ran like 12 labs. When I emailed them stating my experience and how upset I was, not one person replied. They made sure I made my payment, but not an apology, nothing. This office is for sure in it for just the money, as they are a specialist and can charge more. They are not in it to help individuals get answers and help. AVOID THIS PLACE IF POSSIBLE.

First impression as a new patient is very hard working staff. Sitting in the lobby and seeing what these receptionist’s do, calls are being answered, not to mention how nice and inviting they are. When I’ve called not every call of mine is answered but every voice mail I’ve left my message was always taken care of in a timely manner. Nurse was very professional and had a very nurturing personality she seemed like she cared. I give her phlebotomy skills an A+. I’m a very very hard draw and she got me in one shot. Dr. Ennis was a very compassionate Doc. Overall had a good experience.

Dr. Ennis is a good Doctor for diabetes the office staff and billing department is quite possibly the worst I have ever dealt with in the 38 years I have had diabetes. Not worth the trouble you have to deal with. Dr. Ennis does not do a very good job of managing his business or has let someone else do it for him, and those people should be looking for new jobs. Done with this office.

They’re kind, and I believe they know their stuff, but I think they care more about their marketing than their patients. I came in for a visit and his nurse was unable to draw my blood (without really even trying), I then waited in the waiting room area for another 30 -40 minuets until someone finally came and got me. After being poked and prodded two more times they finally got my blood. This by far has been the worst experience I’ve had at this office. Last year I was in and out. I was very impressed. Ive referred a few of my friends here because of their exceptional customer service. It’s changed drastically.

This office has been getting worse and worse. Now the office manager fired everyone that would actually help in the office, I loved the old employees, I would call and get my prescription in a matter of hours and they would actually talk to you. Now if you call they get upset probably due to the fact they are stressed out because of the officemaneger. I can’t go anywhere else and they know that. I blame my husband for picking the cheapest insurance plan. We get what we pay for, sadly.

The office staff is terrific to deal with as they are cheerful, competent, and responsive. Dr Ennis is by far the best Endocrinologist I have ever had. He actually listens and wants to help me feel better (I am Panhypopit). Plus, he doesnt bring a computer to chart notes while distractedly asking me how I have been - like my last two doctors. I love this clinic. If you had long wait times please realize this is a busy office and our patience is needed. After my first appointment I left a five star review, because they definitely make a good first impression. But don’t be fooled, immediately after that nice welcoming first appointment it will go downhill fast. They require you see them at least once every six months, that’s fine, but during covid I was not going because, why would I? I’m high risk, and almost anyone who has a reason to go to their office is probably high risk. During that time they had the worst communication I’ve ever experienced from healthcare, I don’t think in all the times I called their office, they actually picked up the phone. When I needed prescription refills I’d have to call them weeks in advance because I probably wouldn’t actually get a hold of anyone for at least a week or two. Somewhere along the line they decided that they would not be treating me anymore, but they did not tell me that. I was pretty stocked up on supplies, so I hadn’t called in a while, but I started getting low on supplies so I called, over and over again, for weeks, as usual. To the point where I was days away from running out of insulin and I still hadn’t heard anything back. So I decided to go to the office and talk with them face to face. When I got there, the front desk receptionist went and got Jamie Ruiz(PA) to tell me that they have discontinued care, she then proceeded to tell me that if I couldn’t get a prescription then I should just go to Walmart and get the insulin that is manufactured for animals, the insulin that has caused many deaths due to it’s unpredictability. (I had changed insurance and my new insurance wouldn’t pay for humalog, so I needed a new prescription for novalog) I ended up going to primary health, they couldn’t write a prescription for insulin, so I made an appointment months out with saint lukes endo, which I still haven’t had. In the meantime I had to pay full price for humalog,(over $150 for one vial, which lasts me about a week and a half) until I could convince primary health to write me a prescription for novalog. Long story short, do NOT give these people your business, it’s not worth it.
