I have been to Asantes ER a few times in recent years, and I have gotten excellent care every time. I just left there, and RN Kent & Dr. Victoria Harris were very competent & compassionate. I felt much better cared for than at Asante Urgent Care, where I started the day.

Poor service from the staff in CCU department. The communication was terrible. They let my mother sit in the waiting area all day not knowing if my dad was going to make it through the situation alive! The doctor was supposed to call after the procedure to relay his condition. Many people walked by and could clearly see concern from her and continued on their way. The hospital was not crowded or too busy. She was left to think her husband was in serious condition all day and had to have emergency surgery. I understand DRs are busy and see many patients- but this is unacceptable he did not even ask someone else to notify my mom! For this hospital to be a Regional Hospital capable of many things, you would think they would update their patient system and do a tracking of your loved one so you can follow electronically what stage the patient is in and when you may be able to see them. I know this is possible because I experienced it recently when my husband had surgery at Peace Health Sacred Heart in Springfield Or. My mother and I are native to Oregon and have never had a problem with this hospital until this instance! If RRMC wants to be as great as they claim they really need to get with it and care for each person as if it was their own. The nurses in CCU were friendly and helpful after she was finally able to see her husband after ALL DAY of waiting. We will continue to use this hospital due to they quality of care they offer, but we will not let this happen again!

Having gone above and beyond with my severe collapsed lung, each and every staff whom I needed professional care from, was received by (all) in the most courteous professional manner. Very competent with the sciences of medicine along with the knowledge of administrative business faculty.

Discharge nurse Jules, RN, and/or her colleagues discharged a patient to a rehab center in Crescent City without his authorization instead of sending the patient to Brookings, OR. Crescent City rehab has a bad reputations and is notorious for over utilization, and not discharging patients to in home health services. Their food is terrible, their staff is incompetent, and not a place I would send anyone to.I tried calling Asante Rogue River Hospital for several hours, and the call center staff wouldnt provide information. Their supervisor was a lot more helpful, but she only works 8-5. I was hoping to get someone in the ER dept to look up who the patient saw so that I can get the discharge papers signed. This isnt the worst hospital, but dangerously disorganized.

My son finally got help here. He was with Columbia care and needed to be in a locked facility for his safety. Columbia care wanted him in a home with unlocked doors. My son was living with us and walking out into the highway almost getting hit. The police finally arrested him for it!! The first place we are nterviewed for was an unlocked home it the desert. We told them that he needed locked doors. The second ace waas unlocked and in Springfield. The social worker told us not to say anything about his behaviors so we stayed quiet but they refused him said he needed higher care level. He got in the road at the motel there because I forgot to take thene bed alarm. After that all we got was telephone interviews and my son refused to talk. Tb psychiatrist then wrote a nasty letter about us while he was getting excellent care on 2 north. The letter said that I would take him out of the hospital so he couldnt get care!! We were asked to visit my son regularly. Then 6 mo state hosp to get safety issues resolved. I recom.end Asante highly but stay away from Columbia care. I am surprised they are even open still!!!!

I was born at this hospital best hospital in the valley and you get the best care at this hospital. When I need to go to the hospital I would always prefer asante over providence because asante takes better care of their patients and the nurses and doctors show you that they actually care about their patients health. BEST HOSPITAL EVER

The entrance should have a plaque that reads: Asante. Because you have no better option. And I wish google didnt require that I give even one star that wasnt earned in order to post a review.Their low ratings are consistent with most other hospitals in the US, graded on a curve where the average is incompetence, lack of communication, understaffing, and indifference. If you read the visitor guide they sound fantastic. But if you go through that same guide after your stay and highlight all the statements therein where the hospital and staff failed to live up to it, well it paints a pretty bad picture. The only reason we came is because my wifes heart issues cant be diagnosed or resolved outside a hospital. Since weve been here she hasnt been allowed to eat or drink in over 38 hours in preparation for tests that should have been done in two hours but went unordered for over 10 hours due to a miscommunication between staff and the fact that of the many people involved in her care no one took the time to really investigate the delay until I lost my temper. Once ordered, it was to late in the day apparently to complete the test so it had to wait another day.Neither of us has slept more that a few hours in days because people constantly enter our room at all hours. Not just for things like taking vitals, but for the really important stuff like emptying the trash cans and hamper, or checking to see if the sharps container needs emptying, all of which apparently must be done in the middle of the night. The room we were in was old and deterioration. Missing chucks of linoleum, sagging ceiling tiles, the plumbing in the tub/shower leaks and sprays water everywhere, the paint on th bathroom ceiling is coming loose everywhere because the fan in the vent hasnt worked in a long time and cant remove the moisture. The patient consent form authorizing services and detailing patient financial responsibilities wasnt provided to us until near the end of our visit when most services were already rendered (patient was stable on intake and that was 33 hours ago so really no excuse). Why wasnt this provided earlier? And on...and on...We are in the cardiac wing. Heart issues right? No biggie. Lets have one doctor on staff for 40 patients. This place is remodeling and expanding. Businesses dont do that when they arent profitable - and lets be honest this is a business. Quality in patient care is a catchy tagline, but profits are king. Hiring adequate staff would impact the bottom line and then the really important folks here - the ones with sharp, pressed suits and clean fingernails would have to compromise on the standard of living they enjoy - a standard most of us can only imagine.Reality is hospital policy is dictated by the big folks and the little folks can bend over or walk out. Those are the options. If there is actual harm that can be proven due to negligence you might be able to sue - maybe. But the hospital wont employ the pro-bono lawyers in their defence like most of us would have to do. Hospital keep high priced attorneys on retainer. So good luck.If their negligence causes no quantifiable harm just a terrible, nightmarish visit you can accept it or fix your own heart. Theres no real consequence for the hospital. The Human body will always break down. They will always have patients (customers). Your happiness with services rended is not required.

My husband had a triple bypass on Monday 07/01/19. Dr. Engstrom and the Nurses are more than wonderful. I especially want to mention Elli and Fred. There was however, one CNA who was asked to help my husband readjust himself in his chair on 07/03/19 and she was less than happy about it. She was on the point of rude and abusive. I will take this up with Management and our Attorney tomorrow and Friday. She shouldnt be allowed near animals let alone critical care patients. Disgusting attitude and care of a Patient!!! She was damn lucky that I didnt knock her out! Just saying!

The care was adequate. ER takes way to long but its the billing you need to watch. Asante offers a discount for payment at time of service. We were not asked to pay at the time services were rendered. I paid the doctor portion of the bill when i received it. No discount offered. There was an over charge that had to be reprocessed by my insurance. Once it was reprocessed I paid that bill with the exception of an amount i felt we were being over charged and filed a dispute with our insurance. No discount on that either. I was offered a $16.20 discount on the portion i had originally disputed but not the almost $500 i had already paid. So... dont dispute your bill even if you feel its incorrect because it will cost you

Took a while to get through the waiting room process. Was peeing blood with a kidney stone. But once back and the doctor got involved, I have now received better care my first visit than the mistreatment I have received at a certain Klamath Falls hospital. Well worth the drive and pain to be treated like a human.

I went to this ER for trouble breathing and it felt like I was drowning. I was treated like I was stupid and didn’t know how much pain I was in or how it felt for me to breathe. The nurse practitioner was rude and snotty with me. This is the third time I have had to go to the er and sadly chose this one. I would not recommend going to this er.

The doctors here should be ashamed of themselves. Went in with multiple symptoms sent me packing a week later was diagnosed with cancer. Absolutely the most uneducated unprofessional group of human beings I have come across in 31 years. Doctors like Joshua Cott should be working at your local urgent care where peoples lives arent at stake.
