I’ve been getting the same haircut for the past 5 years: a pompadour with two inches on top and shaded on the left side. I’ve very rarely had any problems with it back when lived in Overland Park, KS, But today I went to this location for the third or fourth time, and the lady cutting my hair absolutely butchered it. Apparently blending on my left side meant cutting down to a number 2 all the way to the center of my head. I am very frustrated with it especially since I have a career fair later this week to go to and I wanted to look professional and confident. It’s cut to the point where I can’t cover it up. I am more insecure about my hair now than I’ve ever been. I guess I’ll be wearing a hat for the next 2 months. Out of the 3-4 times I’ve been to this location, I’ve not really had one good experience. Last time they cut my sideburns uneven and I’ve had some other problems as well. I would not recommend this location.

I was driving from Topeka. I went online and placed my time which was about 25 minutes. Made 1 stop in Manhattan and received a text from Great Clips that my haircut was in 11 minutes. I walked in and gave my name on that was on the list. They said were ready for you.

7th time to give it a shot. Its hit or miss. You get someone who knows how to cut or dont. Ive taken my myself, my kids and now my mother to get uneven bad cuts. Ask for 2 inches off get 6! No fixing that. Its cheap but thats it. Unless your a guy you most likely wont get a good cut.

I went to Great Clips on May 25th to get my hair cut and my bangs and have layers put back in my hair.

New in the area and after using the same stylist in Dallas for over 10 years, I had no idea where to go. So glad I tried East Side Great Clips in Manhattan. Used the mobile check in, quick and easy. My stylist was Dorthee and she was amazing. I showed some pictures, described my desired style, and she nailed it. She kept checking to make sure I was okay with what was going on and I definitely was. Ive found my new stylist! Everyone in the shop was so helpful, suggesting local places for me to try. Highly recommend!

My 6 year old visited for a haircut. The store was very clean and presentable. My son had an initial haircut from a very nice and different stylist at the same location and the same day that required to be made presentable prior to our departure. He has curly hair and it was challenging for the stylist to manage. I had presented a photo of how the haircut needed to look prior to beginning however the stylist used previous notes from the system associated with a different visit rather than the photo presented. Stylist Sierra was introduced to us for assistance with my sons hair following the prior haircut. She was amazing and interacted with him very well. She did excellent trimming it, addressing concerns and making him look presentable. I recommend stylist Sierra for clients of all ages and clients with curly hair. I am placing 2 stars because following the initial haircut requiring address, the stylist called for assistance. The supervisor or lead who came to check the haircut immediately started stating the haircut did not turn out okay because my son did not hold still. She had not taken a look at the picture I presented to the stylist prior to beginning. I did not see her present during the haircut so I am uncertain how she saw my son moving too much. For improved customer service, I recommend she should focus on how to address concerns instead of immediately taking the defense route due to the age of the client. Its not the best service to blame a child for the outcome of the haircut while they are still sitting in the stylists chair. I recommend waiting for the client/parent and child to leave prior to expressing blame. During close of business or a staff meeting may be the best location to recap the days events. Wait for all clients to leave. I understand not all stylists may specialize in curly hair however practice makes perfect.

Staff is always friendly and nice. I usually get a different barber every time so the hair cut it always just a little different. I dont mind because the pricing is affordable.

Everyone was nice but there was an older blonde lady who was stationed near the waiting area that was so unprofessionally rude. The way she made her statements was with attitude and as if she could careless about the customers. I would only go their if she aint there.

Professional! Friendly! Clean! The stylists at this GreatClips really listen to what their clients want. They want to make sure you are happy with your hair cut!

Took my so in for a hair cut. I told the stylist to leave it long on top and not to touch it. And to fade the sides.She faded the side but then cut most of the length of the top and faded towards the front. So his hair doesnt look cute at all. I was wanting his cute curls on top but now Im probably going to have to cut his hair with clippers and let it regrow.Should have asked for a different stylist after she tried cutting me off while explaining what I wanted.

Went in for a haircut but couldnt be seen because I had my son with me. They said if he couldnt sit by himself then he cant get a haircut. He is 1. How is he suppose to sit by himself. They said only 1 customer per seat so he couldnt even sit in my lap. I tried just standing by him so he wouldnt cry but they said I couldnt and had to wait outside. If I could give a negative rating I would. Dont go there if you have kids

The one girl there doesnt listen to what you want. My son and SO have both had to walk out because she just kept cutting the one side. But the other ladies there are amazing and wonderful.

My hair was down to the middle of my back. I just wanted a trim. I now have a bob. I guess on the bright side the conversation was great. I didn’t say anything as I was in shock about how much hair was cut.

Social distancing between customers was adhered to. Also combs or brushes if dropped were not used again until sanitized. Its a little confusing about this being a walk in salon yet an app is used to schedule your appointments for the day. So be prepared to wait until the scheduled customers are seen before you. Also keep in mind that you cannot call to schedule appointments. I suggest that you download the app.

We have tried taking my one year old son there multiple times for a haircut but according to their policy he has to sit in a chair by himself, my husband and I are not allowed to be with him or near him for his haircut. My son, being only one year old, wont sit without a parent and so weve been turned away each time. Id give zero stars if I had the option.

Asked for a half inch off because i’m trying to maintain the length that I worked so hard to keep and I got exactly what I asked for. I’m always scared to go to salons because I feel like they will always cut off more than what’s been consented. Here though :) they listened to my needs

Awesome haircuts! Ive never left wondering how am I going to fix this. Haha! It can get very busy. You have to time your visit and ensure you always use the app for check-in even when they first open.

I have paid over $30 in the past for my haircut, but Lori at East Manhattan Great Clips gave me a haircut easily worth $40 for just $14. She really knows how to shape your hair to best fit your face and head. Super talented and was very nice!

I recieved the worst cut of my life here. I will never be going back. It was uneven and very choppy. The cut was way shorter than I asked for and the person who did it has never tried to do it before and you can tell. I am absolutely disgusted with the whole experience. Thank god I was able to find someone in a different salon who was able to make me look normal again. This is hands down the worst place in Manhattan to go to.

It was the day before school started. It was a mad house with pretty long waits. Parents were under pressure and a bit crazy. The beauticians were calm, cool, collected, and kind. They were amazing!

Ive used this Great Clips for several years. One time, I had a bad haircut by a stylist whos give-a-darn was broken that day. I went back the next day and the manager was so eager to correct the problem and was sincerely eager to help. Great staff at this Great Clips!!!

Horrible experience. Had someone give me a haircut and did a really bad job fading the hair... One side of my head was longer than the other side... And she kept getting up and leaving to do other things rather then finish the haircut. She stepped away at least 6x. Very frustrating... I wont be coming back and will not recommend to others.

The manager was rude and does not have any CUSTOMER SERVICE skills- I had just moved and wouldnt honor my coupon from out of state, when I went to pay I was going to use my AX card and that store dosent take that card she stated very loudly for the whole store to hear that who pays with AX no one takes that card.... This is the first place that I have gone that has not accepted AX... The gal that cut my hair Mikelle was very nice and did a good job. I wont be back.....

You can make an appointment online, or walk-in. I usually just walk in. The wait is never very long, and Ive always been satisfied with haircuts/styles. Usually have a different stylist, which so far has always been fine. Prices are reasonable, and usually can get a coupon.

The barber was one of the fastest and best I have ever had. They got my hair done in about 10 minutes and at that time I need all my hair (it was somewhat long) cut off short and faded on the sides.

I have never received a bad haircut here. All the hairdressers are very skilled. Make sure to use the online check in, because all most all ove the times they are very busy. They have long hours, so when you want a haircut you can get a haircut.

The service is great they did a great job with my daughter she went there to get for prom to get her hair styled and then I took my son and other daughter and theyre very helpful and their hair was cut very beautifully and I would take them back there every time I get their haircut

The positive: cheap hair cuts with the ease of checking in online so the wait time isnt as long. The negative: Took my teen to Lindsey the other day for the first time. We explained how we wanted his top to be trimmed so he could still swoop it over and she cut it so short it doesnt swoop. She cut more than a trim. It looks all choppy. After my sons haircut I was talking to him in private about his hair and Lindsey asked loudly, is there a problem? All embarrassed we replied, no! We will never go back after that experience.

I only go here for a haircut now. Definitely get the app and sign in online. Great time saver and they also do military discounts.

I had had some really bad experiences at a high priced salon in town so I was a little leary of getting my hair cut. A couple friends suggested Great Clips and boy am i happy I listened to them! Mary really listened to what I wanted, and had me double check to make sure she was cutting off the right amount. Even told me why she was cutting it the way she was! WONDERFUL experience with her! I will definitely go back again.

The satff is SO NOT FRIENDLY. But is close to my house .The kids can get in an out fairly quick, and sometimes get the cut they actually wanted.

The haircuts are a great deal for the price but even when you check in with the app, theres really no telling how long youll wait. For me, Ive been in and out as quick as 10 minutes and as slow as an hour.

I love this place because as soon as you walk in someone is right there to check you in and they are so nice and always have a smile on their face. There is no appointment needed. They always listen to you as to how you want your hair done and they always do it your way. Sometimes they may suggest and certain hair cut but they leave it up to you. They dont push you to doing it their way. Plus after you leave and you get home and you decide you dont like you new cut or style all you have to do is call them and let them know and they will get you right back in and redo you hair at no charge. Ive been going there for a very long time and I trust them and they are very good. I am very picky about my hair and they always do a great job. After so many visits to the salon you get a discount on your visit there. Im not sure exactly how many visits it takes to get the discount but they do keep track of your visits. Yesterday I was there to get my hair cut and the lady that was working on me was so nice and they talk to you and dont rush to get you done. They take their time to make sure your style is exactly what you want. When I was done and went to pay I get the senior discount. But because of my visits there I had enough to get this discount. Instead of paying $11.00 ( thats with the senior discount) normal fee is $13.00 for hair cut I only paid $7.46 for my hair cut. Wow I was really surprised. Its something they do all the time now. As I said they keep track of your visits and when you meet that limit you get your discount. Of course I always tip them. But remember if there is ever a style you dont like and you want it redone just call them they will get you in and redo it for free. Let them know your not happy with it. But as for me I have never had any problem with them. I will continue to go back always. I will also spread the word about them if anyone is looking for a good salon to go to. They are the best Ive ever had.

I checked in online got to store and was told I still had 30 min wait. 15 min later a young man walks in says he didnt check in online but because he knew one of the stylist he got called next. I was so angry I walked out and will find a new salon to get my haircuts.

We had a horrible experience today at this Great Clips location. I went in to have my daughters hair trimed so it would all be the same length and oh my the Lord the girl just kept making it shorter and shorter and its still not even around. I shouldnt have to pay someone to cut my childs hair and then have to come home and fix it myself. We will not be returning to this great clips again!!

Both Brittany and Devin have done my hair now, the cut was great and both girls were very professional, I cant reccomend this place more.

I have been going to Great Clips since 2007, a neighbor told me about the place , that all the girls are good at cutting hair and the prices are very good. I am a senior citzen so I only pay $11.00 dollars for a cute and a little bit more for shampoo and cut. They also cut a lot of mens hair, soldiers and childrens hair. They all are very good at their jobs and they also put how you like your hair cut so everyone knows how to do it. I will always go back because I have never had a bad hair cut there and the prices are good.

Brittany did an awful job on my son, we came in for a haircut not a buzz all over. He has no bangs now. She also had to take him back when she thought he was done his sides were uneven and she told me her fingers wouldnt allow her to get the length. Are you kidding me. I couldve done that at home. She took forever, three people that got called after us left before us. Completely disappointed. The girl at the front was very nice and asked if I wanted to speak to a manager but you cant fix hair thats not there to fix.
