The most wonderful program, food and crew work so well together. The fresh foods have helped me in saving my life through having access to better, healthier food.

The staff at the pick up are extremely rude Also, they don’t have much knowledge about vegetables- didn’t know what a mustard green was ! Usually a CSA has friendly knowledgeable staff that helps you and gives out tips on how they eat the vegetables. This CSA needs to get a different set of folks at the pick up.Also the share is small for the cost.I have bought shares from a CSA for years and I joined Lynchburg Grows hoping to support a local farm and enjoy locally grown produce- it was been a terrible experience. I dread going to the pick up each week.I would not recommend this CSA. I’m hoping to cancel my share.

If you dont know about Lynchburg Grows, you need to stop in for a visit! They offer CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) at a reasonable price where you can get weekly or bi-weekly shares of veggies and other locally grown or sourced products. did you know they were at one time the largest producer of farm-raised roses in the US?! They are in need of volunteers as well as in the midst of a Capital campaign. Visit them virtually at lynchburggrows.org then visit them in person!

This place is doing great things for the community, and they put great produce in their CSA! They seems to have a well-run operation that is welcoming and helpful. They are a great addition to the Lynchburg community!

Lynchburg Grows is more than a farm. When you arrive you see several greenhouses, but then you see the produce growing in them. They operate a CSA which highlights their products as well as area farmers. They drive the Veggie Van into some of Lynchburgs food deserts to provide access to healthy and fresh food. They also maintain a variety of historical roses. Most importantly they provide jobs to people with disabilities. If you havent been to visit, you should go and see the chickens, goat and duck, the historic greenhouses, the produce, volunteer for the Veggie Van, and the smiling faces of everyone.
